By reilo Go To PostDany can't have children.cuz some old lady that killed her husband said so? so many people have been told they cant do something and have went on to do it.
sam was told you cant cure grey scale but he just peeled it off like a scab and wow what do you know, cured.
Dany said it herself an episode or two ago.
But yes, Magic sperm from reincarnated Jesus can change that I suppose.

PSY is so bad at TV watching that he still believes A Song of Fire and Ice refers to Ygritte and Jon and not Rhagaer and Lyanna.
Edit: Ygritte* fucking names

PSY is so bad at following along that it's no surprise he's only interested in the one main character in Bran that has the least amount of story.
By Fenderputty Go To PostI think you're massively underselling the danger the WW presents if you think the story would make a lick of sense having them show up earlier in the series. Humans fighting political fights and suffering losses all while being consumed and reanimated by the dead would make for a short series. Zombie apocalypse. Thee point is to have the humans unite before they come. That was John's whole story arc north of the wall uniting the wildlings. That was the point of him reuniting the north. That's the point of him going to Dany when he knows it's not prudent considering the politics. Like ā¦ this is a consistent theme. Unite humanity regarding of politics due to the impending doom. If you can spread the doom out over 4 seasons it seems no more impending than any human army.Spread it out over four seasons? m8, it took the White Walkers seven fucking seasons to stroll from Inverness to Hadrian's Wall. If the show's creators were competent enough to pull that off without you dozing off, maybe they could've marched them south of the Wall at twice that pace so the rest of us could've began to give a shit.
Making the grand unification antecedent to their invasion doesn't even reflect the reality of their own world and experiences. The Freefolk were convinced after encountering them; Jon and the Night's Watch were convinced after encountering them; Daenerys was convinced after encountering them; most recently, Cersei and Jaime were convinced after encountering one; but now we're supposed to just believe that everyone else - the vast majority of the denizens of Westeros - are to rally behind what the believers themselves needed to see to believe?
By Fenderputty Go To PostPeople are sucked in now. The WW doom is here, finally, and the political drama matters less. But does it really matter less? What did they expend more time on this episode: political machinations and personal conflicts or some zombies trudging through the snow? Hell, the latter was used predominantly to set up the other elements.
"When the sun rises in the west and sets in the east. When the seas go dry and mountains blow in the wind like leaves. When your womb quickens again, and you bear a living child. Then [Khal Drogo] will return, and not before"
seems to me drogo will become an undead and dany will be able to have jons kids

I was thinking Jon and Dany before the TV show was even a thing, but Rhagaer and Lyanna is acceptable too.
I still wanna know why it's gonna take two years to end the series. Man, in the books Dany might be 16 by now. Bran might not have even hit puberty yet, lol.
Dany is having a child...
Jon and Dany wouldn't have had this talk in the Dragon's Pit before banging if she wasn't.
It's obvious they've clearly lost respect for their audience so they're throwing it directly in our faces.
-------
What I'd like to know is how the maester of the time recorded the details of the Rhaegar, Elia and Lyanna Stark situation, but yet the legend of Roberts Rebellion is still that Lyanna was kidnapped.
Aren't these high Septon's in place to specifically avoid such things from happening?
Wouldn't everyone be aware that the heir to the Iron Throne had his marriage annulled and remarried before his death?
Am I missing something here?
And how convenient that the head maester had Sam transcribe the one massive book that mentions this tidbit for him to have Cassie read.
He then arrives at the bright idea that he needs to travel to Winterfell to "help Jon" defeat the dead but doesn't tell Bran any details on how he is going to be helpful other than revealing that he knows that Jon isn't a bastard. Oh the convenience! š
They really, really have lost all respect for their long time audience.
You're not like everyone else. And your family hasn't seen its end--you're still here.
I can't have children.
Who told you that?
The witch that murdered my husband.
Has it occurred to you that she might not be a reliable source of information?
....
You were right from the beginning, if I had trusted you everything would be different.

Watching the finale now; brehs did they really not show the second half of the cersei tyrion convo
wat
edit: man this show annoys me so much sometimes :lol; this bit of Theon dialogue
Why do you need that bolded line at all? It happened 20 minutes ago. It's so insulting to the intelligence of the audience. It shows so little understanding of real conversation. It immediately breaks my immersion when I can feel the writers banging me over the head.
It's been a good episode so far, but there's always 2 or 3 dumb things going on.

What you did in King's Landing, what you said. You could've lied to Cersei about bending the knee to Daenerys. You risked everything to tell an enemy the truth.

This Sansa-Arya stuff is dumb as shit too. Same with the Cersei-Tyrion stuff; the writers aren't capable of actually crafting the scenes required to get them to the destination they want, so they'll omit it and just tell us it happened. Fucking chutney.
Good scene for Gillan though; never been the biggest fan of his portrayal in this because he's best when he's loose and on the edge (see The Wire, Queer as Folk). Never bought him as one who is always in control, think he was a little too low key and unsuited to it. Some excellent non-verbal acting here though.

i've seen people complain that they made up some character out of nowhere so that jon could be a targaryen. rhaegar is basically the whole reason this universe exists and he's mentioned numerous times throughout the shows existence, not to mention like a million times this season.
so yeah most of their fan base is absolutely brain dead. i remember when olenna told jaime she killed joffrey people made a big deal out of it. it was implied numerous times and i believe even outright stated, the only people that didn't know where jaime/cersei and well, apparently half the viewers.
By reilo Go To PostIt's Japanese for "what" as an act of surprise.
More proof that the anime thread title is 100% true
By RobNBanks Go To Postat this point i cant even blame them.I mean, at this point, does the show need to cater to the reilos of the world?

ESPN LA did a GoT season recap and nobody knew the Hound and the Mountain were brothers that did the show. As an extension, none of them knew the Mountain burned the Hounds face as a child ...
The majority of TV watchers don't actually pay attention to what is going on. They talk with friends, browse the internet, or do something else.
Inexplicably decided to pop into the GAF Thrones thread and immediately moonwalked out after seeing them praise the worst romance since Final Fantasy VIII.
That was entertaining. And even though I don't believe he mentioned anything new that anyone of us didn't mention during the season, he's got a knack for this reviewing format.
Alt Shift X is starting to make more videos.
S01E01 video. Pretty cool to look back on it with what we know now.
I love this video. Deals more with the world building. Watched a few other videos that explore the areas, but this is pretty neat for a 20 minute video.

i've always thought a perfect ending is just Jon and Dany ruling over a golden age of recovery post GoT with the inevitability of fukkery afterwards due to the fact that they have no heir.
By Laboured Go To PostIf the White Walkers don't win I'm rioting.
They don't deserve to win. They are so slow. And literally allowed an entire house war to begin and end before attacking.
Iām pumped for the final season.
Been watching Game of Thrones interpretation videos to fall asleep to at night.
Anyone gonna make the OT?
