On the left of a front 3. Sure he benches our great young talent Sane but fuck it, it's Alexis
The draft of the schedule for the Liga Portuguesa is ridiculous. The following things must happen for the schedule to be accepted:
- Benfica, Porto and Sporting can't face each other on the first two rounds.
- The following teams can't play both away or at home on the same round (one must play away and the other at home for each round), Benfica and Sporting, Porto and Boavista, Braga and Guimarães.
- The matches between Benfica, Porto and Sporting can't happen on consecutive rounds
- Regarding the matches between Benfica, Porto and Sporting, a team can't play both games at home in the same half of the league. For example, if Sporting plays at home against Benfica, they have to play Porto away in the first half of the league.
- No team can play against Benfica, Porto or Sporting and then face another of those 3 teams in the following round.
- In the first two rounds, the teams that will play the Super Cup (Benfica and Guimarães) can't play against the team that's playing the Champions League play-off (Sporting)
- On the third round, the team that's playing the Champions League play-off (Sporting) can't play against the teams that will play the Europa League play-off (Braga and Marítimo)
- The second half of the league will mirror the first half of the league
- The schedule must avoid having teams playing two games in a row away or at home, if possible
- Benfica, Porto and Sporting can't face each other on the first two rounds.

By Cleff Go To PostI've read the article twice and nowhere does it say what Catherine Kelly actually wrote. If it was defamatory the lawyers would be onto her though. So for now I'm viewing this as a Minister throwing about her weight because she can. Fuck that like.Nothing defamatory in it. Article is a summary of her various business failings and failure to disclose her interests.

Martins it sounds like it was done for the good of the league, as if you don't do that there's a possibility that one of those three can wrap up the league way too soon. Viewers and attendances might suffer, no?

Must of those changes are to appease the broadcaster so the big matches are more distributed.
Just as United were happy for people to assume they were going to sign Alvaro Morata while they worked on a deal for Lukaku, there is a sense that stories claiming they were on the verge of securing Matic may also have been convenient.
While United’s interest in Matic is genuine and they could yet try to convince Chelsea to sell to them, the Serb has only ever been third choice on their list of targets.
Heh.

By Perfect Blue Go To PostAlso in the article;
Finally some good news
Now, if you’ve followed our coverage from the European press for long enough, you’ll know that ‘coming hours’ can mean various things.
Sometimes it does mean ‘coming hours’, but mostly it should be translated as ‘coming days’ or ‘sometime next week’.
All we’re saying is, while it looks promising, don’t hold your breath just yet. You might need to wait a little bit longer.

By Laboured Go To PostLol fucking plebs. They thought they'd get 75m for a player who has never scored 20 league goals
I dont get why arsenal are dithering with Lemar (news that 40million has been rejected).
We're either going to much closer to 80 million or just go for Mahrez, 35 million plus another 10 mill in add ons, done!

United fans upset they aren't in for Lemar. Think they're kidding themselves if they think Mourinho would ever sign anyone who's 5'6"
By Barzul Go To PostThink Lemar at 21 has much higher ceiling
You really feel he has a much higher ceiling that Mahrez? Do you remember 2015/16? Mahrez was one of the best players in the EPL, I'm not sure Lemar ceiling is much higher.
By Kidjr Go To PostPretty sure FortunateIs that mine & n8's couple name?
At least Mahrez is purchasable. Fucking around with £40 million for Lemar when Monaco want at least double is an utter waste of everyone's time.

Yep and I really dont think there's that much difference between them in terms of quality.
Attitude and commitment yeah for sure (I'm under no illusion mahrez would fuck us as soon a bigger club came knocking).
