Who else can they get at that quality at the moment?
By batong Go To PostLukaku never scores in the big games. Go ahead United.United need a flat track bully to score against weaker sides. That's Big Rom.
The Lukaku v. big sides thing is incorrect.
He was joint top scorer against top 6 last season and he was in a much shitter team.

By Zabojnik Go To PostI'm pretty sure there are at least a couple of keepers on significantly higer wages. Neuer makes around 9M€, I think. I'm sure there's others.Oh yeah, now that you mention Courtoius is on more than £100k/week I think I read it here.
Cuadrado? You should be so lucky. Seriously, he gets much more flak than he deserves. When on form, he's can be absolutely brilliant.
Really? He strikes me as a player who only can run fast and make bad decisions. Oh with shoddy finishing too. But the more important thing is that he plays on Suso's position and I want Suso to stay.

Yep, and is afforded more space because of it. Teams don't set out to stifle Everton the way they do, and will, United. Lukaku's first touch, while improved slightly, will be exposed even more.
Not arguing that he doesn't do it against the top teams, but we need to stop pretending that being in a worse team means his performances are limited.
It might be because I know one article well and I don't really know the other, but if United were my club, right now I'd much rather have Lukaku than Morata. Especially if the captain is indeed leaving. Lukaku strikes me as someone you can build a team around. Morata, not so much.
Incredible. I was already preparing the Troopz "Where Lacazette at, blud?" speech.
Lukaku a great deal for United. Way better than Morata. Not because he's better, but because he's proven in the league, has height and fills exactly the gap Ibra left behind.

Weren't Chelsea rumoured to be paying £100m for Lukaku? £75m is a decent drop. Surely Everton want that extra £25m to continue their spending spree/pay Rooney's wages.
Maybe this is all an Everton ploy to get as much out of Lukaku as possible

I think Lukaku has the same agent as Pogba. Can understand that guy pushing to do more negotiations with Woodward.
By Laboured Go To PostDoubt it. It's a win win for Everton and United.
The Chelsea sources have been in contact.
By Cleff Go To PostThis journalist is good for Everton news.
Yeah, if Chelsea came in and offered more it's not like Everton would say no.
Any big deal Man Utd do is going to drag out for a month. Adidas need time to prepare their promotional videos for the big announcement.

Llorente is a decent player for Chelsea. At this stage in his career he won't care about starting every game, just heading in a late goal here and there will keep him plenty happy. Experience with the manager, a playstyle that doesn't require him to be super fast, etc.
Big price for the lad, but I'm happy enough. Needs to take that next step, glad it'll be with us and not Chelsea.
United fans (not top 4 lest we forget) not being happy with Lukaku is as silly as Gooners not happy with The Cassette

Lukaku for United is a signing that doesn't really scare me, as a rival fan. But he's one of the most reliable goalscorers in the league and still has some room to improve.
Not that I care which of United or Chelsea sign him, but a fee agreed doesn't always guarantee the player goes there. Would enjoy a nice hectic tug of war between the two.

Everton clearly at pains to say no deal agreed yet. Bit concerned Wooders has prematurely blown his load.
Would defo take Weigl and of course Fabinho over Matic. Not happy with buying players Chelsea don't mind getting rid of, really. Mata was a bit of an exception in that he didn't fit tactically, but Matic is being replaced by Bakayoko for quality reasons.
