Pep Guardiola: "Manchester City are a great club, they've played in Champions League for 5 straight years, they're the only EPL club to have done that. But it will take 10 years to reach the level of Barça, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Juventus. You need time, it's very complicated."
By Cleff Go To PostThe Sun is an awful newspaper. But a good reporter is a good reporter no matter what publication he works for. Neil Custis has contacts at United.Didnt know that, alright.

So are we finally really rid of Rooney
By Laboured Go To PostYou want to thank us now or?The idea of him staying at Man Utd as an unwelcome benchwarmer appealed to me, but I'll take him going to Everton on a free and lumbering about on the half way line for a year or two
He isn't a top half standard player, in any position imo. Wherever they play him, he'll be poorer than what they want.

He isn't.
Its like the people who decide at Everton have chosen to ignore every Rooney performance last season.
Anyway, not always been his biggest fan, but he had been a major part of the success of United over the last decade. Part of one of the best United teams over 2007-2009 and his partnership with Ronaldo was amazing to watch.
Good for him to move to Everton before he probably ends up in the MLS

I reckon Morata will surprise a lot of people
he was never truly terrible with us, just incredibly emo due to a recent break up and to Allegri being clinically insane.

Mad Max....glad you stayed
By Zabojnik Go To PostOne of the POTS for sure. Was insturumental in our shift to 4-2-3-1.I mean just think back to our best moments
all of them had Mandzukic doing something. That double save remember :lol
I'm just saying, are we absolutely sure he's Croatian? We can blood test him ya know. He bleeds like in every single week, bless him, so that won't be too hard.
sure they all had their standout moments/months but not as consistently as him. And yeah, most importantly, the switch.
I think of all the players in the immediate sense we need a striker bedded in, Morata has to be the priority, over the course of a season a DM could prove their weight in gold but if we start with Rash/Martial and nothing else, thats bad.
Oh man I just remembered that we have Pjaca coming back from injury HELL too ;_; if he comes back as good as new then it's gonna be a riot upfront when you add up Blondpiero as well

Can see why Everton have gone for it.
They have the money now, and obv a big 'emotional' element to it but it'll also raise the profile of the club.
And I'm not sure he is entirely finished just yet. Rooney is still a clinical finisher and despite the drop in his general play he is still a pretty regular contributor in terms of goals and assists. For a team like Everton that could still be of great value.
