Is it normal to cry?
I mean.
My eyes let tears out when I watch some movies.
I also get teary when I'm scared, I don't know why.
But serious crying, I haven't in 10 years. And it's not like my life is a walk in a field of flowers. I just think I missed a train to cry some years ago and now I just.. don't anymore. I feel like I should wait for something HUGE to happen, like getting kicked out of our PES tournament because I feel crying out 10 years might be a little tiring.
How do you manage?

The last time I really cried was probably about a year and a half ago. Since then I have felt nothing but apathy about everything.
i wish i could feel again
i wish i could feel again
Some people just seem to cry more than others.
I don't think any frequency is especially more normal than others.
That said, personally, I don't cry very often. The last time I can recall was a few years ago when my dog was diagnosed with cancer and euthanized.

I can tear up easily with movies and whatnot, and I can cry once in a while with life situations. People you miss, people you feel for. It's all normal. Everyone has its own way of dealing with one's own emotions though.
Is it normal? No.
Should it be? Yes.
Unfortunately if you're a male and you cry it's seen as being weak and that you should man up. Now that doesn't mean run to the bathroom every time because you're co-worker called you fat or said some other mean things, but people also shouldn't think twice about it.
I've seen people try to fight back the tears and I'm just like let it all out.

i cried when i finished dark souls.
Ricky you motherfucker, are you saying you didn't CRY LIKE A BITCH in 2006 when Cannavaro lifted the World Cup? Or when Zanetti stole our fucking title
in all seriousness, I do get quite emotional watching movies, even if the movie isn't that good really. Like last time I was on the VERGE of tearing up while watching The Theory of Everything.
don't get me wrong, I don't care about Stephen Hawking, I just felt so bad for my baby Felicity Jones :( seeing her cry on screen killed me mate
and I almost cried during The Imitation Game, because I can't understand how any self respecting woman or man can find Benedict Cumberbatch attractive, he looks like a fucking diglett

i cried that day, but it wasn't out of joy.
I don't think I cried once, outside of being a baby, my entire life until I was 18. I haven't stopped since.
I thought it was meant to work in reverse.
I thought it was meant to work in reverse.
i don't think people consider it normal, but it's certainly ok to do it if something is really emotional to you. no shame in it.
Let's see. I actually meant "is it normal to use it as a way to let heavy burdens out?".
I feel like I'd be lighter if I could cry, and nobody believes me when I say I haven't cried in a decade. Even men aren't that reluctant to say they cry every now and then, and not because of movies.
During that match I was at home with my mom, and I was just like "oh, ok". I was still upset for Juve I guess. I went to bed like an hour later.
I just let a tear out whenever Marchisio scores.
I probably got teary eyes for TLOU too. Those first 15 minutes. Baby jesus.
And about movies.. I get emotional for those dad-son things.
Out of Time KILLED ME. I must've cried like for half an hour at the cinema. I immediately bought the blu-ray and I'll probably never have the guts to see it.
The Lion King too. I never cried for that as a kid, but now, oh man. Once I was away with other couples for New Year's and the day after they put the fucking Lion King on TV. I had to hide in the bathroom because I started crying after 15 minutes on my then-gf's lap.
The theory of everything didn't make me cry. I laughed several times, like when he got stuck in the jumper, or when he did the SpiderMan hand gesture in the tub, so the atmosphere was ruined to me.
I always avoided that movie, it's just tears-bait.

By Prototype Viktorif you don't cry to the ending of Season 1 of "The Big C" you are not human to meWhat the fuck is The Big C
By no fun allowedi don't cryYeah, I usually punch the fridge. Shit hurts, and it's full of marks now. It's not even mine, it's my landlord's. When people notices I just say I accidentally hit it.
i do punch the wall till my hands bleed like shit tho
By OmegaIs it normal? No.It's really weird seeing a man cry actually. I'm used to with women (yadda yadda misoginism), but crying men usually make me want to cry too.

By LegoI don't think I cried once, outside of being a baby, my entire life until I was 18. I haven't stopped since.Yeah that might seem weird, but "men don't cry" is probably a thing that belongs in the past, and when you're a teen you try not to be too awkward so maybe that's why..?
I thought it was meant to work in reverse.
By LabouredSubterfugeI only usually cry when I edge for hours on end.
By WoodenlungWhen watching Hachi: A Dog's Tale
I always avoided that movie, it's just tears-bait.
I cried when Bayern won the CL in 2013. I cried because I was happy. I never cried because of happiness before. I watched it with my family. My mum was so surprised lol
God, I cried so much.
God, I cried so much.
Forrest Gump killed me out of nowhere. I finally watched it from start to finish a couple years ago (I already knew what happened way before that, I just never had the time to watch it in its entirety), and the scene where he's talking to Jenny's tombstone did it.
As for the topic question, of course it's normal to cry. There's just that stigma of males crying that makes things more awkward than it should be.
