By LFMartins86 Go To PostActions speak louder than words. Crackdown is one of the few truly exclusive first party games Microsoft had and it was relegated to just a short trailer when it's finally coming out after many years of waiting. That doesn't show confidence in the title from Microsoft's part.
You may or may not know but we're fully playable on the E3 show floor,
Not sure what more action you want. You can play the game.
MS must be making a shit ton of money from XBL, Halo req packs and Gear packs to care this little about their first party output.
They really don't give a shit about AAA exclusives and it's mindboggling. Console gamers don't care about powerful systems, whichever is cheaper is the one they're going to go with. When one system has The Last of Us, God of War, Horizon, etc. and the other has Forza, Crackdown, Halo and Gears it's no wonder Sony is basically outselling them 2:1

Looks like they didn't really update it at all. A shame. I just wanted a controller with the same general shape, size, and layout but with good sticks, d-pad, and triggers + bumpers.

By rvy Go To Postwho the fuck is trying to buy that shit
there's a reason this controller was removed from the market
OG Xbox bc + duke = MS version of the NES classic?
By RobNBanks Go To PostMS must be making a shit ton of money from XBL, Halo req packs and Gear packs to care this little about their first party output.Halo and Gears used to be bigger than any Sony exlusive aside from Gran Turismo iirc

MS have well and truly dropped the ball though, especially with Halo. Obviously you can't sustain a franchise's popularity forever, but 343 don't seem to be up to the task of getting anywhere near.
By RobNBanks Go To PostThe one thing MS has done right is controllers, why remind people of that abomination.
People at MS have often spoken fondly of it, and it's got its fans. The controller S was a compromise for the Japanese market, the duke maintained a following among people with big hands and lovers of Big Giant American Manly Man stuff. For the most part, I found it better than the S for most things. Those black & white buttons on the S were terrible for Capcom 6-button fighters, and the d-pad was junk too.
Still find it crazy how bad the 360 dpad is
It seems like a fault with the parts/board, but if that was the case it would surely have been fixed after the first run of controllers. The bloody thing just doesn't know what direction you're pressing half the time.

The second biggest tragedy of the 360, after red ring. It actually has a pretty good collection of fighters & shmups but they're all unplayable without an arcade stick.
Sounds like the eagle in Assassins Creed does indeed tag enemies for you
What a bold prediction that was 😏

I picked up a Blanka Street Fighter IV one years ago at a Quakecon for like $20 or $30.

thought that happened yesterday?
Crackdown 2 looked like the kind of game that you could buy because you liked the first one without keeping up with it, and then get supremely angry when you actually play it. Wasn't it basically same city but worse+zombies? Looked like DLC.
Why you'd expect 3 to be any good given 2 and the lack of exposure MS has given it is beyond me.

New X-Com 2 expansion.

By Switchpro Go To Postthey are literally burning money with how they handled that franchise.Like we expect people to buy an Xbox One X for $499 to play Sea of Thieves, Crackdown 3, and Forza 7? This games lineup for the X launch is worse than even the pre-announcement expectations and those were already low.

Because it had been held up as the marquee Scorpio title that wasn't just yet another Forza xerox. I really would have thought they'd put money into making it look spectacular rather than blowing the budget on Terry Crews.
I like the format of the PC Gaming show but unfortunately I can't possibly give a shit about Xcom, let alone an expansion pack for Xcom.
BJ is the best likeable meathead protagonist in New Order. Which isn't really something you'd expect from a Wolfenstein game but when you give Ex-Starbreeze a campaign in a shooter, they do good shit.

they don't have that many studios anymore.

I remember MS being keen to point out how it'd make use of the cloud, but don't recall them linking Scorpio to Crackdown 3 at all.

It's a thing that's supposed to use a ton of processing power and they're putting it out on the exact same day. What else would they have to say?
By livefromkyoto Go To PostIt's a thing that's supposed to use a ton of processing power and they're putting it out on the exact same day. What else would they have to say?Oh, didn't realise they launched on the same day, thought they were just in the same window. That's unfortunate for Crackdown. Watched some footage, it looks like a bad standard-bearer.
By Kabro Go To PostI like this PC conference. no fluff, no piano or stupid screeching dude doing play by play. The best part is the presenters go for like 30 seconds max and go straight to the game
Spencer has confirmed in post conference interviews that the OG Xbox compatibility will work with disc based games (put disk in and download a small patch like file to play on Xbone) as well as what they'll be offering on the store to download.
Expected to launch before the X model on November 7th.
No titles confirmed besides Crimson Skies.

By rvy Go To PostNGB is being sold in the marketplace and playable on 360, so I'll just assume it'll be there.I would expect most marquee titles to be a priority. Ninja Gaiden would definitely qualify.

By rvy Go To PostHave they mentioned was sort of improvements we can expect on these games? I'm not expecting NGB Tecmo bullshot quality here, but still.Naw. They're being careful with their wording but at a minimum you would think faster load times and a bit of sharper image quality aa.
These games are going to look like shit on a 4k set without something smoothing things out. We'll see.
