I don't get this notion where people are supposed to leave Sony and move to Xbox this late in the generation. If you have a 4K TV, then X will give you a better experience. It's not a new console or generation. Part of the problem with Pro and X is they will be held back by the base models. You're not going to get a "wow, that's worth x" through a monitor where the benefits of these iterative consoles are 4k and HDR. Stuff you have to see in person.I'm not even saying you need people to switch. I don't even see why someone who already owns an X1 will decide they need to upgrade.
Have to wait until next generation for a full on reboot.
Microsoft doesn't believe the X will be held back, that's why they kept mentioning that it'll improve already existing games and why they made such a huge deal about being the most powerful console.

Franchise entries like Mario kart and Smash games are very easily forgotten when thinking about GotY contenders tbf

Just now on Keighley's stage, the ID@Xbox head, Chris Charla mentioned that they showed 28 games on stage that fall under the ID program. Of the 28, 26 will be enhanced (4k, HDR, visual/frame bumps, etc...) for Xbox One X.
So it appears that there is no requirement for studios to make full use of the additional X hardware.
He also would not confirm or deny if Cuphead is included in the 26 games. The game releases on September 29th, but is not playable at the show in any form, which seems bizarre.
