iphone 5 dropped, screen cracked help
sigh, after 18 months and never dropping my phone, it happened. Yes, I go naked. Yeah, I know it is probably a mistake. Give me flak. Anyway, here's the deal:
Everything works fine. Speaker, microphone, all buttons, even the screen itself still works. It functions no differently than before. Only issue is it's cracked. And not just a corner or something. Enough that I need it replaced.
No applecare.
So, I can take it to a cell phone repair place, but if I can do it myself I will. I just want to make sure I get the right thing.

Is this all I need? I do have an iphone 5 black that is fully 100% functional with a cracked screen. I know there's some tech savvy people here, which is why I'm asking.

I've not done it my self, but i'm told it's relatively simple. at a normal non-apple place though, will probably be cheap enough anyway.
I found a highly repped place for $60 and sucked it up. for $20 extra, rather not wait and let someone else who knows what they're doing do it. He did it in like 5 minutes too.
Lesson learned.

Eh.
I carry my phone "naked" too. And i've seen people with big ass rubber cases crack their screen just as easily. A lot of it has to do with luck of it dropping and hitting the wrong angle when it lands.
And gorilla glass is so strong by default any extra cases are usually just wasting your time.
