you're looking at the wrong stat breh. Look at defensive efficiency.
Knicks were the 24th worst team in the league on defense. The reason why the Knicks allowed 98.6 PPG was because the Knicks played at the second slowest pace in the entire league, not that many possessions so not that many points.
