well done wedward and GSW, cavs fans saying the chip was bought is fucking laughable.
and yes the dubs do still get rings without KD.
and an even bigger yes, CP3 to spurs means we're probably the best team the nba.

Didnt the celtics technically start this "mess"?
By Kidjr Go To PostDidnt the celtics technically start this "mess"?Well, yeah. But KG, Piru P and Ray Allen aren't LeBron.
By Kidjr Go To PostDidnt the celtics technically start this "mess"?
Celtics traded a ton of youth and picks, and were starting second year players at PG and C. Even then, all of the assembled players were coming from downright bad teams.
Wolves 32-50
Celtics 24-58
Allen, Pierce, and KG were all considered underachievers or at the very least, a tier below players like Shaq, Kobe, Duncan, Dirk, Nash, LeBron, & Wade. Not really comparable to Wade & Lebron both being top 3 players, or Curry & Durant both being top 5.

By the time they do, it will be irrelevant to everyone but hardcore basketball fans like yall.
NBA taking a que from baseball, lol.
By KingGondo Go To PostAwesome that the entire offseason discussion will now revolve around unrealistic acquisitions for the Spurs and Cavs that probably wouldn't even get them over the hump against GS.Spurs picking up CP3 or another good point guard (if one is even available, haven't paid attention to free agency) would easily put them over the hump.
Lets not forget they were up 20+ before they decided to take out the real mvp

Best chance for any team other than the Warriors to win is for Durant or Curry to get hurt and even then they could still do it.
Steph own CP3 soul. That won't help them.
Just be a hater and pray for an injury. They aren't losing any other way

but it would never happen

Please dont mention LMA
And on the celtics point I mean, just cus your team isnt as super as heat or gsw, they still started it imo.
I dont get how ray, pierce and KG get treated as some second rate players who were squabbled together in some attempt to mount a challenge for the league.

i don't consider them a super team at all. at the time they were a bunch of "late in their prime" dudes who all had a rap for not being able to get it done.

the warriors would win that series in 5 or 6.
People keep bringing up the Spurs being up by 20 for some odd reason. They still would win the series. And they'll still win with or without CP0

The modern equivalent (hard to believe that team was 10 years ago) would be a team of like, Wall/Melo/Gasol coming together, plugging in Thon Maker and Buddy Hield, and winning 65 games and crushing the Cavs in the finals. There was a lot of speculation at the time that it wouldn't work.

I mean the Spurs won 60 games with just Kawhi carrying them and utter dead weight at PG.
They could definitely snatch the #1 seed with CP3.

CP3 is 33?
Ok Ima back track that up a little, we may not be the out and out best team per say the point I'm trying to make though is like PSY said, we got 60 games with Kwahi and a fossil for a PG. We still would probably get number seed with CP3 because he's better than parker atm but would prefer someone younger.
If we had a PG that was nice as fuck I believe we become the best team in the league.

Melo to Paul MAYBE 4 years ago,, but Gasol to KG common man, thats just sacrilege.
We won 73 games with Harrison Barnes.
If Spurs were pushing us I don't think we would have a problem keeping the #1 seed.
Even if you replace a 35 year old pg with a 33 year old pg.

Contrary to early reports, the Golden State Warriors have not made a decision on visiting the White House after winning the 2017 NBA championship.
Early on Tuesday, word began spreading that the Warriors had "unanimously" decided not to visit the Donald Trump White House.
However, the initial reports seemed unverified, and both the San Francisco Chronicle's Connor Letourneau and USA Today's Jeff Zillgitt reported that the team had not made a decision yet.

I've heard so many people saying this and it doesn't seem to be backed up by anything other than Durant playing great.
But they didn't win with that line-up last year. They barely made it to the Finals.
Warriors without Durant but with barnes are a tough-out, but still beatable. With Durant? Well, you get 16-1.

Only beatable by like 3 other teams playing at their peaks, one of whom had Durant, the Spurs have Pop/Kawhi, and the Cavs have Bron and Kyrie.
So much had to go right for anyone to have a chance agaisnt *last year's* Warriors. Thunder stole game 1, found a new gear in the playoffs, got up 3-1 and still lost. Cavs would have lost if Draymond wasn't an idiot and if Bron wasn't a god.

And Gasol is 2 years older and made the playoffs. Not really that blasphemous. 10 years ago KG was a healthy Chris Webber with less playoff runs under his belt. His stint with the Cs totally changed his legacy.
As an aside, Melo could probably do the same if he changed his situation before he turned 35.
