By reilo Go To PostSteph does that move all the time, it just happens so quickly in real time that it looks like he's just switching hands. But since when could you pass the ball from one hand to the other between bounces? That would be a double dribble too. It's obvious that it's some BS form of pump fake and it makes Lebron jump.
By s y Go To PostWow the finals could be over by Friday.
Thank god.

yeah, there's no possible way a ref can call that live.

It's obvious that it's some BS form of pump fake and it makes Lebron jump.I agree with you, I'm not saying it's legal, but he just does it so quickly that I don't blame the refs for missing it especially when he's covered by a 6'11 260lb freak like Lebron.
Does the ball rotation change? He might have ghosted the ball and not touched it if so.
EDIT: Effing amazing how the rotation doesn't appear to change, but it definitely looks like he put his hand on the ball.

And this season:
20 games by 20 or more.
25 by 15 or more.
47 games by 10 or more.
It's pretty obvious this stems from a combination of unbalanced teams and the influence of 3-point shooting; one team gets hot, the other's not, and the gap gets large. I wonder if they're going to do anything to the way that defence on 3-point shooting is called to try & reduce this gap. I'm sure they love the increased scoring, I'm sure they love the storylines of players challenging historical highs and comparing favourably to the stat lines of past legends, but how long can you get away with removing drama from the conclusions of games like that?

By Method Go To PostGoing back to the cap spike vs cap smoothing decision (with all the TV money coming into the league) a few years ago:They did it because they didn't see a good reason for players to not make as much money as possible as soon as possible. Because it would have resulted in much larger Max Contracts for those guys.
Weren't Chris Paul and Lebron (the current Pres and VP or the Players Association, respectively) at the forefront of that decision? IIRC, they chose the Cap Spike for whatever reasons, but if they had chosen cap smoothing, we would not have KD right now. Definitely cost themselves with that decision.
Smoothing would only have benefited competitive balance. Not much else. And they weren't really interested in listening to suggestions on how it could be done such that the owners didn't keep the money.
By blackace Go To PostHaving stars as your rep and this is what happensParticularly ones later in the careers.
There really needs to be a permanent representative group of 5 that vote. With at most 2 being max contract / all stars.
But then, before these guys, it wasn't really much better.
By giririsss Go To PostParticularly ones later in the careers. This last deal only benefits stars tho.

As much as I like that... 50k to 75k contracts is pennies to what the stars can make now..
Why are the next two games back to back?Been following this sport for over 30 years and I still don't understand the dark magics of schedule making..
League showing mercy on Cavs?

Genuinely may see OKC blow them out on a b2b. Like ... 50 points.
LBJ may not recover in time.

in a discussion that has gone off an a tangent, but who would you take, prime dwayne wade or kevin durant?
By pilonv1 Go To PostDurant, Wade has no range and can't guard multiple positions. It's probably close thoPretty much. If you need one to be your primary ball-handler, I would give a slight edge to Wade. Otherwise, give me Durant.
e: Wade could guard multiple positions, it was just limited to perimeter positions.
Wade didnt fold game 6 and 7 of a conference final.
By blackace Go To PostWade was a killer tho..Yep. Hated him but dude stepped it up
By Kabro Go To PostWade didnt fold game 6 and 7 of a conference final.his knees did after a few years tho.. :(
By pilonv1 Go To PostDurant, Wade has no range and can't guard multiple positions. It's probably close thoPrime Wade was an amazing playmaker and passer. Couldn't defend bigs but he sure could block them, I believe the player he's blocked the most is Dwight Howard. His perimeter defense was elite. Prime Wade was as athletic as anyone who's ever played in the league and one of the smartest. His handle was great too, how he was able to operate in small spaces was crazy.
Yeah I'm leaning towards wade, Durant is probably more capable but wade was just nice as fuck, cross over was sooooooooooooooooo nasty,
By RobNBanks Go To Posti dont understand how you dont say prime wade

dumb point tho.
KD not breaking through until he was surrounded by the greatest supporting cast of all time is kind of sus

Wade put on one of the greatest finals series in his 3rd fucking year. Would have had another title in 05 if he didn't get injured.

By Kidjr Go To Postin a discussion that has gone off an a tangent, but who would you take, prime dwayne wade or kevin durant?
Easily Durant, and for me it's not particularly close. Durant's efficiency and defensive superiority can't be overcome by Wade's handles and dazzling brilliance at getting to the rim.

Before Curry dropped a 30PPG 50/40/90 season, KD had a 32/50/39/40 season just a year prior. That's dumb to ignore.
And let's not forget that KD had to deal with his own injuries and teammate's injuries (Westbrook's torn meniscus thanks to Beverly) in the playoffs as well. Not to mention the incompetent FO.
