"Homegrown" is an objective category in English football. What you're talking about seems to be a largely indefinable class of football academy graduate. Wires crossed I suspect.

It is why I laugh at people who think Arsenal have a priven track record with our academy. Since 2000, the only players our academy has produced are Cole, Gibbs, Wilshere.

It is a UEFA requirement, FAs might have their own, but all UEFA squads have homegrown requirements. A certain amount from the club and another amount that can be from within the country.

Why did City sign Mooy? A 25 year-old from the A league who they immediately loan to Huddersfield for the season and then proceed to sell him the next summer.
I think the only thing holding the city transfer happening is like Ivan said, there is a disconnect between the board and the fans. Wenger and Ivan knows there is absoloutely no chance we go into next season united if we sell him to city, not without replacing him which I just don't think we have the capability of doing.
