Dream is over lads.
I'm surprised Monaco would sell at all to them. They can be better than them

By Ciaran Go To PostOmg what took them so long :(I want to do a rewatch of S1 and S2, even if it kinda goes against my policy and I don't have the time.
I might go for selected episodes only, starting with the memory parasites one. What an episode.

Mourinho said afterwards that often this season he's been made to feel that United were "the worst team in the world". That he was "the worst manager in the world". Do you feel you've proved some people wrong?
"Pogba: We're the worst team in the world, yeah. But we have three trophies. So [laughs] people can say what they want. Are we the worst? OK, no problem, I accept that. I accept that we didn't play well, we didn't do this, we didn't do that. I know what we did — we won three trophies. That's all I know. And that's all that matters. Because you can be the best team in the world, you can play great football and you win zero trophies. And who remembers them? No one. Right?"
That Pogba quote works great if you read it in Trump's voice especially if the last word is changed to "OK".

I'm not a fan of some of the mods at GAF, but thinking it's a cesspit of worst in human behavior is ridiculous.
Was Opiate a paedophile? Struck me as someone who would try to discuss a topic completely rationally no matter how controversial that subject matter was. So when talking about paedophilia he came across as very odd.
Morning all.
Have we signed Lukaku/Belotti/Bonnucci/Sandro/Sanchez/Messi/Ronaldo/Oxlade-Chamberlain yet?

Sky are reporting it's £20m which has been rumored the last week.
So that's Defoe, Begovic and Aké in so far. Not bad for Howe.
£30m for Chelsea too which is half an Alex Sandro.

It's a shame that Ake didn't work out. He made a lot of progress under Benitez but then his career got Jose'd.
By Diego! Go To PostFairly sure he is homegrown which will inflate his price.

It is him
You'd think we've sold a 22 year old Tony Adams or Pallister for £20m if you read Twitter.
Also, every player under the age of 25 years old must now have a buyback clause written into their contract, lest we not have another Lukaku or Kevin De Bruyne situation years later to dwell on repeatedly while simultaneously ignoring that both players were sold for a combined £45m at the time netting a profit of nearly £30m in the process.
No, no, no that, and all the trophies since they've gone, is not good enough. If we had only given them a chance we could have had two superstars or even sold them for more money!
This is the shit that is repeated everywhere ad nauseam. People are really the worst.

By Kidjr Go To PostWasnt Nathan Ake brilliant last season when he was on loan?He was about as brilliant as you could ask for a left footed centerback starting for Bournemouth.
This transfer likely only happened because of the world cup next summer. He wants that more than he wants club glory.
By GQman2121 Go To PostHe was about as brilliant as you could ask for a left footed centerback starting for Bournemouth.Maybe he just wants to play?

You recalled him and sat him on the bench for the rest of the season. He wasn't going to get a chance at Chelsea.
Btw - why is him being left footed relevant?
By Vivalapizza Go To PostMaybe he just wants to play?Oh definitely. He wants to play so he can play next summer. He's not expecting to win anything at Bournemouth.

I should have phrased it as leftsided CB. He is very one footed.
20m doesn't sound too far off for Ake. Young, homegrown, versatile and acquitted himself well while on loan. 15-20m would be the ballpark I'd expect because of the way transfer fees are.
It's all the same to PL clubs now innit. A bloke with 10 quid that spends 2 pounds will feel it exactly the same as a bloke with 100 mil who spends 20.

So, apparently if Mbappe goes to RM, Monaco want to replace him with... Stoke City's Julien N'Goy...

Not sure why that's funny.
Well if two years of being in Chelsea's academy makes him a Chelsea product you guys have very low standards for homegrown players I suppose.
