Interesting plan from Sky for the TV subscription service. They're getting rid of Sky Sports 1, 2, 3 and 4 and replacing them with channels specific to a sport eg Sky Football, Sky F1 etc. You subscribe to these channels individually instead of taking them all as a package so you'll only get the sports you want to watch. Good for the mainline sports Sky broadcasts, but Rugby, boxing and maybe even NFL are in trouble imo. They won't get their own dedicated channel and will.knstead be out into a catch all channel. Signals that Sky don't value them as much and may eventually drop it's coverage for it altogether.

Thats actually good value for the customer I thnk, I hope virgin follow suit. I've been thinking about my package (hhhhheeeeyy ) and I pay way to much, sky movies is shit value, I stream everything through Kodi and the quality of their "HD" makes me want to throw up. I havent tested the 4k service yet but it's bloody criminal that they get away with calling that dross full HD.

Sky's cheapest sports package is £45 per month though, so this new subs service, where you pick just what you want, will still average out as cheaper.
