Bungie probably deserved it tbf
Was however hilarious when he went off on rants about keepers, and claimed to have authority over the topic, due to playing Five-a-side football in the weekends.

By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostIf he was Italian then he would learn to play for the team ;p
Both Fabregas and RVP were more important because they played for the team.
What does Sanchez bring to the team? Fantastic individual goals and a far view assists, however, when you look past the numbers what does he bring?
Henry was not about the numbers, Henry's overall played allow the team to achieve what it did because he rarely tried to force the issue and take over. He passed when he saw an option.
You can say what you like about the overall quality of the squad, but as lets not pretend that the rest of the squad is made up of complete scrubs who deserve not to be passed to.
RVP and Fabregas werent more important than him.
Sanchez basically gives what both of those players did summed up. Assists and goals. He's a winner. Amazing workrate. Winning mentality. World class fitness levels. If you see these qualities on a teammate and this does not drive you forward, then that's not Sanchez problem.
Sanchez has the likes of Walcott, Giroud, Ox around him to pass the ball. Even Welbeck who i love, is not that good of a finisher.
You talk about Henry, but look at his teammates. I'm not comparing both btw, Henry clearly was more important. Our squad back then was so much better than todays.

By ATTICUS H Go To PostArshavin
Is this in relation to what I posted the other day about Arshavin being the best Arsenal player?
he was arguably the best player we had for that first half season of his, but again he wasn't exactly a team player, but he should have started that semi final against Chelsea because in 90 minutes he could have been a difference maker.

By il Diavolo Go To PostNo one doubts we hired competent people to handle the sporting side of things. But the concern around our new ownership is completely valid. People in China dont even know who the fuck Yonghong Li is :lolPrecisely.
Li has a shady past, the buyout process was a shudder-inducing imbroglio, and immense uncertainties still shroud the entire ordeal.
Hiring big names isn't necessarily the way the matter will be solved. Milan has been haemorrhaging money for several years, and slopping more expenses atop that won't alleviate anything. When the debt to Elliot is due in a year, and we see the same slinking characteristic of the buyout negotiations, don't be surprised.
And I don't type this because I'm anticipating some savory schadenfreude. I'd actually much prefer that Milan recover from their several years of incompetence, failure, and ignominy - for the future of the Abyss.
By Pele.gif Go To PostEveryone would love to have a player that "disrupts the balance of the team" so much if he brought what Sanchez does to this team.
He is our most important player for at least the last decade. He is absolute carrying us for at least 2 seasons. I completely disagree with you on what you are saying. If we had better players around him (and a better manager, of course) we would de challenging for everything, and maybe push for a decent ucl campain. If we had players with his desire, his fittnes, his grinta, his quality overall, we would be a respectable side.
If my jokes about you loving him if he was italian annoys you that much, i apologize, i thought you were fine with the banter. I wont do it anymore.
Good debate actually, I do really think RvP REALLY carried us that season .
Fabregas at times.

I remember this semifinal very clearly
We scored the opener and Chelsea remuntaded us in the end with an amazing fuck up by Fabianski
Leaving Arshavin out was one of the biggest mistakes ive ever seen from Wenger. Like he did this season benching Sanchez against LIVERPOOL, the club we actually lost the ucl spot for
It worries me how normal this banter is to me now, I remember being mortified when I joined years ago, mortified.
By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostIs this in relation to what I posted the other day about Arshavin being the best Arsenal player?Oh no lol I meant to write a long post on Arshavin's impact on that strange Arsenal team but it cut out and I couldn't be bothered because I'd rather have this cider and this already is too much mental time spent on Andrey Arshavin

By Kidjr Go To PostGood debate actually, I do really think RvP REALLY carried us that season .

RvP did carry us on his last season. But it was the only season we had him fit for the most part. He barely played for us in the previous ones, that's one of the motives i was pissed at him for leaving. We stand by him during all those injury years and after he gave us one good season, he left us for United.
Even if i can understand why he did it, still think he shouldve gone to another league in respect for what we did for him.

Again, you are looking at numbers. Football isn't about the individual stats of players.
Our players are not world class, but Leicester won a title with players with players man for man worse than ours.
Sanchez is the problem because what is the point of working your arse off when you know you it isn't gonna be repaid, you have played Killer in clubs, you know what it is like.
Sanchez might have great workrate, but again when you are playing for your own personal glory at the expense of the team then who cares. It is why I said about Totti, it was the first time I had ever seen him flat out play for himself and it wasn't the send off I wanted to see.

The worst thing was Wenger's decision making behind Arshavin. I actually have respect for Wenger's decision on Sanchez. Right or wrong, he made a decision based on the what he thought was disrespect.
Arshavin though, cup tied a few days later and playing against his national team manger, wenger thought it was too risky to play.
Made no sense.

Fry8's favourite City player Adam Johnson has been great so far. Cutting in, leaving defenders for dead, etc. YOU CANT HAVE HIM.
I think he should be a starter, he would grow into a beast of a player.
