so listen, I was never a fan of Twin Peaks, it was weird for the sake of being weird, you know? And I fucking hated most of it. It was like if efukt was somehow serialized into a TV show, truly. The biggest sin however was how aimless it was, you never get the feeling that they knew what they were doing, there was no purpose to the weirdness. And worst of all it was grating and just not fun.

you have people turning into door knobs, bad BAD acting and then some odd soap opera plots that wasn't engaging nor even funny. It says it all really that Wooden is a big fan.

Now season 3, on the other side of the Lynch shaped coin, is weird with a PURPOSE! The blueprint is clear, you can see the pieces moving towards something. Granted we're only 8 episodes in but fuck me if it isn't wildly entertaining. As I was saying the other day, the good thing about a Lynch 'mystery' is that you don't have to even bother trying to solve it, you can't, only Lynch has the key. So just sit back and enjoy!

By Punished Go To PostSo is this new season of Twin Peaks particularly crazy? Haven't seen it. Only ever saw the first season but after Inland Empire I feel Lynch could go way out there.

The last episode was proper crazy, like I can't imagine any executive at Showtime thinking that this was a good idea.
Abstract, surreal, metaphoric and still telling more than enough for those that are actually paying attention.

Overall the show is a mixed bag in terms of crazyness. We had 8 episodes from 18 yet, and there are like 3 episodes that go above the usual bar of both Twin Peaks and TV series.
The last episode was certainly the peak (ha) yet and I wonder what they're going to do in the next.
Rest of the season was a mixture of old places and characters that hit the right amount of nostalgia, while also presenting more than enough new point. However they still need to put a bit more time into that.
The new places and new characters were a bit overwhelming at first due ALOT of characters and places being introduced, but they slowly started to connect these and you're getting a bigger picture.

Original Twin Peaks was already a bit over the top and partly a caricature of certain stereotypes of television and characters.
Lynch and Frost did the same and adjusted it to the TV landscape of today.
The most important thing is, you can't judge it properly as TV series as it feels like one very long movie actually. New cast is pretty great by the way and fuck me, but Matthew Lillard had some great scenes.

It's great that we got a show like that in the age of people with an attention span that isn't longer than a few seconds.

I tried the no shampoo thing. I really missed having clean hair.

I tried no shampoo, and for my type of hair it actually could work as my hair doesn't really get dirty that easily and smells fine.

If you consider the vary real 30% tax, it's a more digestible sub £20m figure. Not counting against the foreign player total is the real appeal to me. I don't think Chamberlain does any one thing in particular brilliantly well, but he has his moments. I feel the same way about Matic actually. Hard players to breakdown but luckily I don't have to make a decision on handing them millions of someone else money.

Arsenal are really in such an interesting position this summer and they're being linked with good players for a change. Matuidi would be a great option for them.
