Talisca trying to make people believe we want him is becoming one of my favourite stories of the transfer window.
Foreigner looks pretty good but why does Brosnan want him dead? And do the Irish have any other methods besides car bombs? Bit on the nose isn't it?
I don't care about the money at all. I just want to be rid of him.
By Vivalapizza Go To PostHe wasn't even particularly good as a disruptor for Chelsea last season.Or the year and a half before that...

Matic is fine.
By all accounts, Bakayoko is bit shit so Chelsea are actually worsening next season. Especially with Costa leaving.

Matic for £40m is hilarious. Roman and co. making off like bandits. Matic isn't even worth half that.
Matic has won 2 league titles in his 3 full seasons.
I'm fine with him going but he's a perfectly good player.

Stop horsing it.
Matic is a guy who cost more than 20mil when he signed several years ago, and since then has been a mainstay in 2 title winning sides. In this market 40m seems pretty fair.

40m for Matic is almost as big a laugh as the extortion Inter are trying to pull with Perisic.
however if he's our Fellaini upgrade and it's not an either/or thing with him and Fabinho then cut the check

Crystal Palace Football Club are delighted to announce Frank de Boer as the club’s new Manager on a three year contract.
De Boer has previously managed Ajax and Inter Milan, and his managerial honours include four consecutive Eredivisie titles.
De Boer was unveiled as the new manager at the club’s training ground today in front of the world’s media, on what is an historic day for the club as it also revealed its new main sponsor, ManBetX, in a record deal for the club.
Chairman Steve Parish said: “We have undertaken a thorough interview process to ensure we are in a position to appoint a manager of the calibre and experience that Frank brings with him. I am pleased to welcome him to Crystal Palace and I know he cannot wait to get started and prepare for our record breaking fifth season in the top flight."
De Boer pictured with the club’s new home shirt, is excited to be taking charge at a Premier League club for the first time. He said: “I am thrilled to be appointed as manager of Crystal Palace Football Club. It is a great honour to take charge of such an historic club, a club that is known around the world for its hugely proud and passionate fan base. This role is a hugely exciting opportunity for me, and I cannot wait to get started in the Premier League with the players and staff here in south London.”

Guardian, Mirror and Sun also reporting the Matic story.
One one hand any sort of transfer gets the juices flowing. On t'other it's for an extremely limited midfield destroyer whose best years may be past him.

Aké must be ready to play full-time at any cost because Matic leaving opens up a huge opportunity for him in midfield even with Bakayoko joining. I don't blame him for wanting to move forward with his career but I was hoping he'd stick around.
Matic will sit behind Pogba and whomever lines up next to him in a mid three. He won't be mixing it up in the box or even crossing the half line much at all.
Personally think Fellaini is still useful as a forward player.

Thanks for making me laugh. I fucking need it today.
When you think about our platform and what we need, Matic is a disappointing signing no matter how you look at it, doubly so that once again we are being forced to pay well over the odds for an ok-ish player.
From Griezmann and Fabinho to Perisic and Matic, ouch. Who knows it may turn out well like Marquis Alonso and David Luiz.
So long as Mou gets the players in I am not overly bothered, not expecting to win the title next season I just want to see a marked improvement.
With Matic gone I hope we sign another quality midfielder. Him and Bakayoko are one in, one out but to compete in 4 competitions we will need more players regardless if Conte is notoriously anti-rotation. Someone more offensive-minded like Fabregas with a high work rate would be ideal.

And that was my point earlier regarding Aké staying on but it sounds like he's angling to rejoin Howe.
I think it's an extraordinarily mundane signing, but then he has won the league twice in three years. Think he was far better in his first year whereas last season Kante did everyone's job for them and Matic was just a body. If we spend 40m on him when Fabinho would probably be 10m more max (if that) and we don't get him I will be thoroughly perturbed.

I see a lot of people rave about him but I always forget he exists since I've never seen him play. Hope he manages to impress and earns a spot on the team.
So Juve will be playing PSG in Miami and the tickets are of course REMARKABLY cheaper than the Clasico tickets in Miami. Pretty sure I'm gonna go to that one as tickets I want range $45-60.
Matic is a good player. It's a very good signing. Bakayoko is probably better than him or at least has the capacity to become it in short order so no big loss for Chelsea.
Starting to think Keita will happen, if and only if we're willing to give up on VVD
Really can't see us spending £60m+ on 2 occasions in the same window. Would be happy enough with that, as long as we do sign a centreback.

New NASL team announced in San Diego...... The weird thing is the athletes affiliated with the club..... Demba Ba, Eden Hazard and Cabaye.... I think they might have some sort of stake in the club??
I didn't realize Depay's fiance is Steve Harvey's step daughter. How the hell did they meet? She is bad...
