By n8 dogg Go To PostMbappe not performing vs the best defence in the world is not an indictment of his quality.
True, he did well, but he should have been able to do more. I also don't think his performances so far against the quality that he has faced is an indication of how good he is.
It is not worth the risk of paying 100 million for a kid with half a season behind him. Pogba was blasted for his perfromances, but he has the personality to shrug it off. What if Mbappe doesn't deliver in his first season? Will he be able to keep going?
He might be the best player in the world in a few years, I just don't see it right now and that it is bet that should be played.
Shanks is semi right about Sanchez. He will not shine as much in a team that doesn't give him freedom like Arsenal will. He's basically the Chilean Ribery, no brains no positional discipline.
He's utterly wrong about the no serious bids bit though.

By Laboured Go To PostI fucking said this would happen the moment Monaco drew Juve. Utterly predictable.
Also, he actually performed well and caused real problems.
Stick to posting about what you know about, surely you have some Arsenal jokes to post.
By Lupercal Go To PostHe almost as good ?He's a completely different type of player.
It's like comparing Fabregas to Matic.
By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostOn what point, Sanchez? So if Chelsea came in and laid £40-50m down for him you would be okay with him leaving?
The guy has exhibited the same traits for all three teams he has played for in Europe.
There is a reason why Barca didn't want him and why no serious bids will come for him.
A collective team is what is needed to win championships. Not individuals who feel they need to carry the team on their shoulders.
It is bad enough we have a manager who has no idea what he is doing, lets not have a star player who does the same half the time.

He is only gonna go to PSG. I don't see Bayern, Chelsea, Man City, or Juve bidding for him. Those teams are about the team collective.

Likewise.

That isn't Arsenal news.

Bayern are secretly a bit desperate. They have fallen behind the other big 3 in recent years and will be willing to compromise/try to change him.

Yes, it's almost like you're wrong.
We sold Sahko to Leeds for 2M€ with another possible 1M€ in objectives and 20% of the value over 2M€ in a future sale.
Good riddance.

two games actually ;p
By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostStick to posting about what you know about, surely you have some Arsenal jokes to post.Thought Mbappe was quite good against Juve myself. The fact he has done all this at 18 is phenomenal.

Barzagli in particular was not having an especially fun time I thought.
By Laboured Go To PostBarzagli in particular was not having an especially fun time I thought.
The guy is a 35 year old defender who struggles with quick give and goes. Mbappe just tried to knocking it past him or run around him. Barzagli is comfortable with that because he is intelligent enough to know how to give a player a lack of space that will favour him. What you need to do is give quick give and goes that then leave him slow enough to turn around.

Just add something in there like holding on to Rooney as back up and I'd be about ready to top myself.

MEN has said Rooney is the only player so far who has actually been told he can go :lol

LOL, I love watching him. He is a highlight reel, but his overall play hurts the team. He overplays everything. I understand that it must not be fun for him to play with this team when he has come from Barca. However, he can't just decide he will do everything himself. He loses the ball way too much. A quick look at his stats and you see he is the 3rd most disposed player in the top 5 leagues. While only is the 12th most successful dribbler, he gets himself into unnecessary problems. Now a better coach might be able to handle him, but another year of Wenger really isn't worth seeing him earning crazy money.
By Laboured Go To PostMEN has said Rooney is the only player so far who has actually been told he can go :lolWell end up buying someone, who, fuck knows, but there is no way Mou will go into a new year relying on the strikers we had last, sans the only one who put it in the net for 6 months.
We have lost pretty much all negotiating power though, clubs know what we need.

By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostI am gonna echo what Flabber posted the other day.I'm not worried at all. Berlusconi and Galliani were driving the club into the ground, but I have to hope they did their due diligence and had the deal looked into by good people. The Chinese have already paid off Milan's debt and they are signing players that will still have value in 2-3 years and that Milan can sell in the worst case.
I am really worried for Milan. I just don't know how much money the owners really have. With Inter, the owners showed they have the money and have backed it up, if not too intelligently. However, Milan just seems like the owners have borrowed hoping on making a splash and getting CL football next year. I can see Milan being in serious financial trouble in the next few years.
Fucking hell, they are gonna make Morata the highest paid player in the league.
