She risked everything for that fat ass Paris check.... :lol
It's crazy how her leaving NWSL has made her pretty irrelevant when it comes to exposure back over here. Pugh, Dunn, Rose are all ballin in forward positions for the NT now.

So it is like a reverse of the men's game.

I am so glad I can count on your support, after all, you can't spell Shanks without Perfect.
By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostSo it is like a reverse of the men's game.Pretty much, I said it was a stupid move at the time because she in turn is devaluing the product at home by going abroad. Carli Lloyd took a check too to go to Man City, but it was a partial contract and Lloyd herself doesn't have anywhere near the amount of years left that Morgan does..... Or the sponsorships so I don't fault her.
But Morgan leaves NWSL as soon as they get a fucking TV contract, thats impacting her, her money, NWSL and the other female players IMO

thats what i went for it
When we last played Juventus in the CL we didn't have Modric, Casemiro or Navas. Instead we had a very flacky Casillas in goal, a 4-3-3 formation with no destroyer in the mid to help out the back 4. The BBC were nullified and we couldn't cross for shit. Our bench was Jese, Illara, Hernandez (Atleti-kiler), an injured Pepe and an old Arbeloa.
My word how we've changed.
Now we have a Ronaldo and Isco in super form, probably the most on-form players in the competition (Alves included).
Our bench is ridiculously filled with talent (I'm more concerned about who doesn't play - Vasquez? James? Asensio? Morata? Danilo?).
Modric and Kroos look like poetry, akin to Xavi and Iniesta in their golden days.
We're probably going to line-up with a 4-3-1-2 formation which allows for a) more control of the ball thanks to Isco and b) 2 strikers who can head the ball with crosses coming in the flanks via Marcelo and Carvajal (who are excellent in crossing).
Navas in form again.
Super substitutes with either Bale, James or Asensio depending on how the match is going.
I guess what I'm saying is if we lose then it's 100% on us and Juventus deserve it. It's going to be a cagey game but I hope we take the game to them and show off our attacking power form the get go. The more we have the ball in their half the better IMO, we can still rely on counter's when chances are given. To be the first team to potentially win back to back CL titles would be something truly special, it would be one of the best days of my Madrid supporting life.

By FortuneFaded Go To PostIt's nothing worth celebrating over.Unless you are a 70+ year old man. Being able to finish and get yourself up that high (on the table) is an achievement in itself. Especially without using (financial) doping like these others clubs do.
O Jogo and Record both say Lindelof to United is close. It might finally be happening. A signing from Benfica.

By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostRonaldo is a fantastic player, but he is just noway on the same level as Totti and Messi. They are players who go beyond mere positions and roles and redefine football.
Ronaldo is basically an AI, he might be able to imitate, but he can't truly express himself.
He is a fantastic winner, but when you just want to enjoy the art of football then you know where he belongs.
Ronaldo redefined football as well. he is the absolute zenith of aggressive attacking wing players.
I agree that he has become increasingly mechanical and direct, but you are forgetting the flair and panache he played with in his younger years. He was not always this way.
By LFMartins86 Go To PostUnfortunately Europe is still way behind the USA in terms of female football. But they pay better IIRC. But yeah, NWSL getting a damn TV contract here is a HUGE deal even it is on Lifetime and arguably the biggest star left.

lmfao. people are going to miss the neons they had this year.
Surprised at how lacking EA PGA Tour on PS4 is compared to the PS2 and last gen versions. At least it was only £3
By Auto Simeone Go To Postbut I thought Lukaku is not good enough for United
People who say that are as silly as the people who say he's not good enough for Arsenal.
By Laboured Go To Postthat would be fine too tbh.
Seems more and more like this deal was contingent on the transfer ban being overturned.
By Auto Simeone Go To Postbut I thought Lukaku is not good enough for UnitedNo, the claim was that his "attitude is bad", which makes no sense to me considering who that club currently employs on their squad and management positions.
By Perfect Blue Go To PostNo, the claim was that his "attitude is bad", which makes no sense to me considering who that club currently employs on their squad and management positions. Not to mention legends like Roy Keane, Ruud Van Nistlerooy, Peter Schmeichel, Eric Cantona etc.
If we got Lukaku i would consider this a very successful window, young, talented, ready to burst out
By Slizz Go To PostBut they pay better IIRC. But yeah, NWSL getting a damn TV contract here is a HUGE deal even it is on Lifetime and arguably the biggest star left.In Portugal, this year was a big one for female football. The female league had 14 clubs (including two big names in Sporting and Braga), which allowed it to be a proper league and not like it was before, where the league was divided in to two mini-leagues after all 10 teams had played each other twice and with the top 4 playing on a mini league for the title and bottom 6 doing the same for relegation.
People expected Braga to win the league as they had the more experienced squad but Sporting managed to win, in big part to the last minute win against Braga in Alvalade, where 9000+ people broke the attendance record for a female match in Portugal.
That record will most likely be shattered once again on the Portuguese Cup final where Sporting and Braga will meet once again. Sporting already gave more than 9000 tickets for the match and that was just for season pass holders, membership owners can pick them up today and tomorrow, on the weekend it will be open for everyone.

They're good but they're not even on the same planet as Xavi and Iniesta in their golden age.
By FlutterPuffs Go To PostNot to mention legends like Roy Keane, Ruud Van Nistlerooy, Peter Schmeichel, Eric Cantona etc.
Lukaku attitude problems are not the same as Keane's or Cantona's. don't like how much he whines at team mates for not giving him the ball at literally every opportunity.
I dont think he is a sure thing, but I dont see any better gettable (?) targets, and I have similar issues over his attitude, could sink or swim.
By n8 dogg Go To PostLukaku attitude problems are not the same as Keane's or Cantona's. don't like how much he whines at team mates for not giving him the ball at literally every opportunity.Shouldn't this be a positive? Not necessarily the whining but always being hungry for the ball.
By Kidjr Go To PostThey're good but they're not even on the same planet as Xavi and Iniesta in their golden age.Well to be fair they had Biscuits and Messi surrounding them. We have Casemiro and the BBC (for the most part). I think they're equally as good, the best duo to play the midfield at the moment anyways.

So that's why I like him, like how I like Cristiano. Cunts who want the ball and score.

Haha yeah comparing bad attitude to them is silly. They had their own problems with attitude, but mostly it came from being winners. Lukaku got a loser mentality, that consists of constantly whining to team m8's, throwing him arms in the air, not bothering fighting for it when things goes bad.... Pretty much the opposite of those listed, who would work harder and demand more from the players around them. Even if they were also actual cunts.
One thing Lukaku isnt doing is replacing Ibra's leadership, there is still a gaping hole in our team when it comes to leaders, characters.

Herrera's getting there, so is Pogba. I hope Mkhi could lead the pack too but man, sometimes he seems like a bit player in some games.

Modric is close. Best creative midfielder in the world for many years running now.

I suspect he wont have these kinds of issues playing for a huge club where he's not the best player
I want Lukaku, but if he's the best attacker we bring in then this window is a bust and we won't playing for the title next year.
Woodward promised jetpacks so I expect jetpacks.
Mhki might be the furthest thing from a leader on the team.

Ander is our leader. I would have said Tony V but after 7 years in the country the cunt still speak a word of English.

I think this will be a great litmus test just too see how good they are.
Personally I've never seen a duo with THAT much ability, the time, spatial awareness, touch, technique, vision is a blueprint for how you dominate a midfield.
