By Nelo Ice Go To PostNah she’s elderly I’m guessing mid 60s. Anyway just still in awe I actually have one of those mythical do nothing office jobs. Never thought they existed or that I’d get one. I’m starting to believe my temp agency when they said I was one of their top candidates since they gift wrapped me this cushy office job and told me how easy it is.
congrats fam
it gets old after awhile tbh
happy for you!

I knew about the black track girl and ny fashion designer
have a similar bbq issue, but the other way around. Like, i'll take some sensually prepared and season kofte and assorted shish meats, some turkish-cypriot salad plus other assorted vegatables for grilling, whilst they'll be there burning fucking bulk supermarket pre-fab burgers and sausages.
Some old English guy tried to block me cycling on a bike path earlier. Saw me coming and just stepped infront of me. Thought he was trying to scam injury compensation or something until I heard the "fucking foreigner" shout as I rode off.

By s y Go To PostAnybody keep a diary? I'm considering it as I don't remember much these days.I don't, sorry.
e: I have some friends who keep dream diaries, though. It's the only way they can remember their dreams and also helps them with lucid dreaming.
By s y Go To PostAnybody keep a diary? I'm considering it as I don't remember much these days.Honestly, my memory is usually fine. So i don't bother.
I did keep one when i was younger and in university. Shit got a little depressing where my mind went on stuff.
I keep a diary.
from my post in the Life thread. I try and spend just a few minutes a day writing some shit down. I aminly do it because I love using fountain pens, so it gives me an excuse to do so.
I am thinking of starting a running diary, too. While listening to the Elluid Kipchoge(the GOAT marathon runner) Nike guided run, he says he writes down about every single run he has down. If it is good enough for him then it is good enough for me.

i don't have a diary exactly, but i write all my half assed themes, short stories, offshoots, etc in a different notebook each year - when i dig them up its always some shit to discover how my mind worked at the time
a pure diary would horrify me tbh. anyone who keeps one is a g tbh

Finally had the teeth falling out dream and it felt real as fuck
Good God that was horrifying. I've been killed several times in my dreams so I'm used to that.

Usually I'm chasing someone or being chased like it's a Tom Cruise movie in my dreams. I'll wake up out of breath and sweating.
Either that or funny situations involving people I know, but in combos of people thatve never met.

Thankfully, I haven't had my end-of-Terminator-1-but-no-escape-for-me dream in quite a while. Being stalked by an unfeeling machine/monster inside a giant, but cramped building with no other life or movement, and being unable to escape or hide is quite terrifying.
I think it's my most hated recurring dream, just topping out the one where each of my friends slip through my fingers on their way to a gruesome death.
I do have kinda cool ones, though. Like the world is in a post-apocalyptic state due to a shadow creature invasion and now me and my friends are part of the resistance who have been trained in how to use our own shadows as weapons against the invaders. All combat takes place at night, though, for some reason.

worst dream i had was a girl taking a drill to my penis and it crumbling like wet sand.
It's a lot of dick so it lasted a while.

Man...
Naming the victims
Their findings yielded a roll call of names that have never had a place in the public memory or the public accounting of what happened:
General Lee, lynched in 1904, for knocking on a white woman's door in Reevesville, South Carolina.
Jeff Brown, lynched in 1916, for accidentally bumping into a white girl as he was trying to catch a train in Cedarbluff, Mississippi.
Sam Cates, lynched in 1917, for "annoying white girls" in England, Arkansas.
Jesse Thornton, lynched in 1940, for failing to address a police officer as "mister," in Luverne, Alabama.
"If I asked the question, "Name one African American lynched between 1877 and 1950," Stevenson said, most people can't name one person. "Thousands of black people were lynched. Can't name one. Why?"
"Because we haven't talked about it," he said. "And there are names that we can call from history for all of these other things. But not that."
Man...
Not that far removed from the first Lincoln memorial in DC.
Go and be free negro.
Such a weird statue. Was built not long after his assassination but it's always struck me as tactless.

I used to.
No joke I would write down everything in a small notebook I kept in my back pocket. One time at the arclight in Hollywood I dropped it. A few weeks later someone calls to tell me she found it (I had my name and phone number in it) and she was in love with some of my stories. So she asked me to meet up with her so I could get it back. Of course I prepared myself in case she was a bigger girl. Ended up being a solid 7 that was a writer on a TV show. We chilled and walked around DTLA all night. In the morning when I left her place she said "I know you won't call" and I asked how then she replied "I read your diary"
So I stopped using one right then and there.

What
Earthquakes aren't as scary as Tornadoes or Hurricanes and I have no idea who you east coast / mid west people deal.
You have plenty of time to prepare for hurricanes, though, and you can ride out a lot of them. (If you're not in a flood zone.)
Nor'easters can be a lot worse. Random blizzard conditions on very little notice.

With you in tornadoes, but hurricanes don't sneak up on you. I ain't never seen a forecast track on an earthquake, though.
