From what I've heard the captcha is given to people from invites. The process is to get the members who went to the discord channels in first then eventually open up registration for everyone. Invites are happening in waves so its gonna take some time which I don't have a problem with since I was just a lurker on gaf I decided to join here since I heard good things about the community until I can register there.

Ay mate, don't spend too much time focusing about the bad parts of life. I'm coming from that place, but for different reasons. I can't stress this enough, but it WILL get better. Adopting a cat. Seriously. This motherfuckers are godsend. Reach out to people that rescue stray cats, try to find yourself an abandoned puppy, give him love and take care of him. He will reward you with company and friendship, even though they get very independent when they grow up (that's a plus for me, but some people are a bit more lonely and might be sad when their cat gets a little too independent).
There are other alternatives though. You can start hitting the gym (it actually works for most people), you can start a new hobby (programming is recommended if you like logical thinking. Writing is pretty good too. You can express your feelings by projecting them into the characters you write and actually discover a lot about yourself when viewing things from an outside perspective).
But do not do anything drastic, for the love of god. Permanent solutions to temporary problems are NOT an option. Don't even think about them.
