We're definitely reaching a point where we feel too powerful lol
Game could really use some defensive abilities within the neutral game. Stuff like the reflect boots but within the class itself.

D2 Vanilla, Booo, Bungo, you nerfed our guardians!!
D2Y2, Bungo please, these fuckers are too stronk!!!
Yeah, they seem to over-correct, but that seems to be the nature of the game.

Don't get me wrong, I am glad they are going all out with these changes, but this is what Vanilla D2 should have been from the getgo. The fact that they want another games worth of money to benefit from these changes is lolwut given what Vanilla D2 came with. I'm also peeved that they still haven't resolved pretty huge glaring fundamental issues, either: matchmaking, maps, Crucible mode-types (casual and competitive suck for different reasons), class imbalances, and my biggest gripe: loading times. They built a brand new engine for D2 and the loading times are seemingly worse than D1.
When? If so, I'll check it out but it takes 10mins or so just to get into the game. Need to hit up any worlds to acquire bounties and what not? Add another 5mins to load that planet or tower. Want to hit up PVP? Add another 5-10mins for matchmaking and loading. You're looking at 20mins+ just to actually play the game.
Looked it up, and sounds like they did improve it, finallyt, but it also sounds like that improvement means getting it back to launch times lol:
Your new engines codebase is so bad that you can't implement deleting multiple shaders at once, amazing.
Over time players started to collectively notice that in Destiny 2: Forsaken, long times were significantly longer in some cases on consoles. Perhaps it's a sign of the underlying problems with Destiny 2's code (a factor Bungie has brought up multiple times in regards to why the shader deletion feature is taking so long to implement), but either way, Bungie is looking into it.https://www.destructoid.com/bungie-is-paying-close-attention-to-the-longer-destiny-2-console-load-times-that-were-introduced-in-forsaken-530641.phtml
During their This Week at Bungie recap, Bungie engineer Ben Thompson confirmed that the game does have three hangups: logging in/starting the game, loading into activities, and navigating menus. That three-fold load increase is a problem, but Thompson says that in the upcoming season 5 update, players should see a "significant improvement" for activities.
Thompson says, strangely, that the reason for the loads is because they've brought in "new content, bug fixes and patches at a cadence more frequent than they had accounted for," which has "translated into some unexpected overhead within the code." That seems to be a very nice way of saying that the code is a giant Jenga Tower.

back to the power creep I think it's fine. Game is in a great place right now. A lot of these crazy good exotic and legendaries tend to have high skill ceiling (pvp).
By Bold 2 in One Go To PostYOURS, NOT MINEliterally moist
The grind for these weapons are literally going to be mathematically designed to take until season of the drifter aren't they
This is the most insulting thing bungie has ever done and it's saying something.
The level of grind you have to do....before you can get a single legendary....my God

By reilo Go To PostHow bad is it?
Like six hours of grind before you can access horde. Assuming you're 600 already
By Bold 2 in One Go To PostIf you have some podcasts to catch up on I can recommend a great game fo y'allDiablo?
By Hitch Go To PostDiablo?wrong D, but close
full raid clear and 90% of milestones not enough to reach suggested power level to access content I've paid for :)

"godforbid you CASUALS have to actually grind 10 hours before you can access paid content"
Effective immediately, we’ve made some changes to the Power requirements for the Lost Forges of the Black Armory.
In previous conversations about the Season of the Forge, we discussed our new development goals. With the Annual Pass, we set out to deliver an extension to the Destiny 2 endgame. We want to create a series of aspirational challenges to keep your hobby fresh.
Over the past day, we’ve been taking in your feedback. It's become clear that we made the initial Power requirements for the Lost Forges too high, keeping those sweet new rewards out of reach. Some players at 600 Power have been unable to dive in and beat the final boss without grinding for new Power first.
We have just delivered a server-side update to reduce the Power requirements for all the encounters in the Lost Forges by five. We fully acknowledge that this is a small move, but it is the one that we can make today. This is not the full extent of the changes to the player experience that we are investigating, but it should give Guardians at 600 Power a better chance at completing the activity.
This response doesn’t answer all of your questions. There are still many of you asking how you can catch up and acquire the Power you need to join the quests to recover these Lost Forges. The answers to those questions are coming. We have some existing plans and some new ideas in the pipeline. That conversation will continue tomorrow in “This Week At Bungie.”
Thanks for playing. Thanks for your feedback. Keep reporting on your experiences out there in the wild.

By DY_nasty Go To Postoh btw the gwysin is glitched for infinite supers now so have fun with that guys
" Forge: Need hunter with gwisin vest and must KWTD"
By DY_nasty Go To Posthigh impact scouts are a thing again lolPVE or
PvPing a bit, it's alright but the maps are still terrible. Also 6v6 burnout why is this still a thing.
It's all random rolls on stuff now. If you're new just level and don't worry about it figure out what are good rolls for your playstyle and don't dismantle those purples, just keep them to level later. Also every weekend starting you can hit up Xur if you have enough legendary marks for an exotic.
By DominicanPower Go To PostI'm new to this shit. How do you get good gear? This game is overwhelming for new players.Get comfortable with a class, weapon type, subclass, and build and you'll git gud naturally
By DY_nasty Go To Postthat raid is assHave you done it?
Spectral Blades don't last a mere 2 seconds anymore and seemingly you're harder to be hit while in that mode. What a time.

it'd be fine if they had just called it a raid lair, which it absolutely is
By Bold 2 in One Go To PostHave you done it?My friend and I took turns earlier this week.
Should've just brought back SRL. You can't kill taken space dragon then do this thing and not be disappointed. I actually like the first area, but not really a fan of it as a full raid. Seems like it'd be a dope PVE event or something...
By Dark PhaZe Go To Postit'd be fine if they had just called it a raid lair, which it absolutely isThere it is
interesting, I did think it was a short run time when I heard it had been completed.
But then again, I never expected Last Wish size raid 3 months later, that would absurd - but a short-ish romp in the last city - no matter what its called is a decent proposition for value.
Its longer than Crota and thats a raid.
Looking forward to running it
