By Kibner Go To Postdesign principles and goals matter from before production startsAs D1 and D2 have shown us time and time again. Bungie literally doesn't get it. Either we are being trolled or they are repeating the same mistake for a third fucking time.
By DY_nasty Go To PostI don't mind the rpg stuff if they get it rightMore RPG stuff would be great! However, it seems the changes they made in Forsaken to make it more 'hardcore' than Year 1 D2 is add a much steeper grind. So, if they say that D3 is going to be even more of a difference from D2 in the same respects Forsaken is, then I'm worried about how close to a Korean MMO the grind is going to get.
The grind in Forsaken is just about right, but the because the loot pool is shallow af, the drop rates suffer making the grind seem harsher than it actually is.

Totally agree.
I'm looking at it more as more class / build customization.

Grind ain't bad at all, the issue is drop rates and RNG. Exotic drops at the moment are discouraging af too. Dupes out the ass.

I guess I just kinda separate grind from RPG elements then
if the current perks and mod system are a blueprint, then im for it tbh

Loot dropping is one of the many dials to turn when you want to adjust the grind.Well leveling has improved as well as all the different options and PVE encounters to get stuff along with prime engrams it's just getting exotic dupes or a very specific weapon other than Edge Transit can be tedious.
Looks like I’m running Leviathan for the first time tonight. Got a group and midnight coup is on sale at the vendor I haven’t unlocked yet lol.

interested in your thoughts on it
By Dark PhaZe Go To Postinterested in your thoughts on itWell only got 28 tokens but got the midnight coup at bathes lol. Then got alone as a god MW after gauntlet.
Anyway raid was pretty fun I just don’t like how unforgiving it is. Gauntlet in particular is cruel and unusual punishment. I was shooting bottom and on punching psion duty.
Otherwise everything seemed pretty straight forward. And Bungie doubled down on symbols for LW.
One thing is becoming clear : the whole do a puzzle flawlessly and then damage phase thing is getting old. Riven was the absolute extreme end of that. Its time for bungie to find a way to mix things up.
On another note I got the Sturm master work and it's my preferred hand canon now for PVP. It just feels super crispy. The less bullets I need to fire the better, as I think destiny on console is prone to ghost bullets at high rates of fire.

About to buy the Destiny 2: Forsaken reduced price bundle that gives you the two expansions.
Just so you know, I hate you guys.

Midnight coup is amazing. Idk how I raided without this. I can see why it’s still so beloved.

RDR2 coming out, RIP destiny
black armory in december with a raid lair? Kudos to bungie, didn't think they'd have new content to that extent this quickly

By EldritchTrapStar Go To PostAre there any raids that are straight up boss raids? Kinda setup like Borderlands' bosses were?Strikes lol
Sorry breh but prepare for people to look at you funny when you look at raids like utter nonsense instead of the peak FPS form
what we really need is Dvision x Lost Planet 2 :
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RtJ8mbUIg8g
Division virus turning into some Resident Evil shit should have been on the table from jump street for the sequel along with more verticality. Give us the grappling hooks and mini jetpacks to justify it.
As for Destiny--borderlands does nothing special lol. A good example of what a good "just kill this shit" raid boss would be in Destiny would be Riven minus all the bullshit puzzle mechanics with a ton more ads, and incorporating the need for some of the players to get swallowed up and complete the heart run a couple of times as a way to do more damage. Combined with more platforming and verticality like argos' final form from the first raid lair.

I'm gonna raise hell with my wavesplitter now.

Hey Franky wanna be my referral? Lol
Hey Franky wanna be my referral? Lol
Update 2.0.5 brings more than just quality-of-life updates to the game. Starting October 30, the Destiny 2: Forsaken Refer-a-Friend program becomes available! Veteran players may begin to refer new players to Forsaken, via a link on Bungie.net, and embark on the Refer-a-Friend quest.
NOTE: As we have recently updated Destiny 2: Forsaken to also include Curse of Osiris and Warmind, we are extending new player qualifications. Players who purchased Forsaken between October 16th-30th will qualify as a new player and be eligible for referral up to November 7, 2018.
By DY_nasty Go To PostRAU refer me broWhen it hits sure. Get me that referral loot.
I'm surprised Division has such a sizeable following.
Pumping magazine after magazine into dudes wearing hoodies was silly. Like its been suggested, normal human enemies, no matter how much armour they're wearing are still normal human enemies.
At least in Destiny and Anthem you shoot monsters and can justify the ridiculous nature of it all, Division wrote itself into a corner.
Also, what is going with the Warframe community? I am getting youtube recommendations and its content creators are not happy something about long content droughts and the community is split?
Wasn't Warframe being touted as the greatest thing ever since the Fortuna reveal?

Warframe has literally never had a content drought lol and that community is fine arguing with itself about fashionframe or whatever else...
I wish more people gave that game a shot TBH. Especially the PvE only guys. It's more tailored to them than Destiny ever will be
edit: i'll back off of 'literally never' a bit, but kibner can speak on how content drought + warframe does not compute as well
there's more game there than there ever was in division, destiny, or even diablo 3

the warframe devs themselves admitted to a content drought in their dev stream.
But whatevs, I hope Fortuna drops soon.

Compared to any other MMO or multiplayer action rpg out they've fed their players better than just about anyone. I can't think of anything else in the genre that's better supported - can you? Their fans can whine about content because they have that level of communication.
Every Dev stream needs context. Just look at the average person checking out any bungie stream. We lost our shit over a clan system ffs

They should really work on Haunted Forest and doing more with this. It's easily the most fun I have in Destiny, even with randos.

Prison of elders
Court of oryx
Archon's forge
Etc

I guess Warframe may have a content drought in that a new thing hasn't been dropped as quickly as previous new things, but if you are coming into the game new, it will take you like a year to get through what's already there.

By Nelo Ice Go To PostHey Phaze you wanna join a clan raid on Sunday?. I think we need 1 more.
Sure if you still need one
By Dark PhaZe Go To PostSure if you still need oneYeah check the clan discord. Looks like it’s at 11am est Sunday.
good run, my bad for fuking us on the taken strength for the queens walk, I thought the taken strength x2 mechanic was still a thing for that last run, but it's not even a thing there. smh
anyway, ez run next weekend
also with the guys killing themselves with 1k voices--it's making me realize that its probably going to be a gun everyone wants and rarely uses for serious PVE content. It's like I've said before--the ikelos SG + sleeper meta is too strong. there's no reason to run much of anything else :///

No worries and yeah 1K is dope but it’s really only a monster in gambit and PvE if everyone has it.
Like if we had 6k voices instead of cluster it would still work.

most of my queens walks are actually pretty smooth lol, todays was by far my worst
on the other hand, today was the first time i've had a single run shiro clear--shit was clean

Yeah morning run was a miracle run with alll those mistakes lol. The afternoon run on my hunter was smooth as fuck. First try for nearly everything, got all the eggs, and did the Morgeth challenge.

Protip if y'all start pvping again: you can win games by just not repeatedly dying and giving the other team kills. It's a "no duh" but.... You keep a better spawn and if they have control points you're not giving them a bunch more score.
I legit hate pvp but Dy knows why. There comes a point where the game just doesn't even offer you anything. I pump out my dailies/weeklies then run off now. The fucked thing is the pvp on a weapons/ability level is the best its been in ages but it's just tedious shit the way the teams are thrown together, the game types, the maps, etc.
