Fated engram. Hope for like a Forsaken exotic or at least something I don't have a random roll on. Get another knucklehead. SMFH.
By Random Ass Username Go To PostFated engram. Hope for like a Forsaken exotic or at least something I don't have a random roll on. Get another knucklehead. SMFH.Xur doesn't sell Forsaken exotics AFAIK. You can see what's in the roll pool for the fated that week by clicking on it to know if it'll be worth it for you ahead of time.
Yeah, for people who've been playing regularly since vanilla he's probably only good if you're going for that full collections badge. I joined late and he just sold me a Tractor Cannon though, so I appreciate that.
I'm sour the Ikelos SMG just wouldn't drop for me last week, it looks like exactly the kind of thing I'd get a ton of use from. The sniper hasn't dropped for me yet either, tonight I think I'm just going to run EP until I get it.

What’s everyone doing for reset this week?. Nearly all my chars can do shattered throne so I’m probably gonna do that, festival, and hopefully start malfeasance if the boss ever spawns for me. Was thinking about IB about I’m not exactly hurting for powerful rewards.
By Bold 2 in One Go To PostWhats the recommended LL for ST?I believe 580+.
None of the quest exotics are really drawing me. Might do Wish Ender just for reasons, but both Wish Ender and Malfeasance are getting some poor reviews.
Goals this week are to get Horror Story, achieve LL 600, and get another Raid completion.

I wanna at least start wish ender and malfeasance since it’s strongest curse week. Otherwise I’m thinking it’ll be best grinding for the limited time festival stuff. Like I need that Shaxx mask and cat ghost.
The existence of the sleeper is really fucking up the exotic chase. Messing around with certain guns is "fun", but at the end of the day you have the most fun when you're feeling the most powerful, and that = sleeper in your heavy slot, or whisper of the worm.
I've got a really good idea that Bungie should consider...start banning certain weapons out right for certain activities or bounties. Perhaps "challenges" for a raid boss or strike, disallowing use of x weapons. Earn strange coins for doing so which you can turn into Xur to buy missing exotics or curated legendaries.

They keep kinda went something close to that with locking certain raid encounters with particular loadouts.
But I'm quite happy they abandoned raid lairs. Everything about Leviathan was fucking trash.

By Random Ass Username Go To PostI like many things in Forsaken but I'm so over the platforming/jumping crap.only thing worse than standing on plates is other people telling me what plates to stand on using hieroglyphic references as a template
By Random Ass Username Go To PostRaiding in Destiny is so lol, every time I do it I remember why I'm content to just not bother.the only thing that looks fun to me is the heart run :/
not "wooooo i mastered the chart and stood still while unloading into a big face"

By Bold 2 in One Go To PostI like the raids,Borderlands 2 shouldn't have better bosses than Destiny man :/ I just like the idea of an actual challenge activity rather than a puzzle, walking turret, or communications/friendship stress test
Its pinnacle activity, unique to Destiny in the fps stage
Strike bosses are better. Its so backwards to me. Let me fight two hive worms at the same time. Stuff like the bridge run in Crota, the wall in Rise of Iron, and heart run are awesome. git gud, move and shoot, actually cover your teammates in motion. The different phases are awesome, but I wish they'd just hand over the keys and let players drive the action instead of throwing an advanced yoga class at you.
Dy said pretty much about how I feel. Let the game shine with what it's best at: shooting the shit out of things and using your abilities and movement skills to continue to do so.
By Bold 2 in One Go To PostLast Wish is getting a Raid Lair for Black ArmouryPenumbra will have one too. Joker’s Wild is the only dlc that won’t. There are raid clans who want stuff to do.
By DY_nasty Go To PostBorderlands 2 shouldn't have better bosses than Destiny man :/ I just like the idea of an actual challenge activity rather than a puzzle, walking turret, or communications/friendship stress testI agree, but then the raid would just be a really long strike.

What I think is the problem is that the raid team is coming up with mechanics that the game engine and physics aren't fully optimised to utilise. So it can be a stressful ordeal doing platforming and the such.
As much as I love shooting things, a nice detour sometimes is good.
Woo played some comp with my clan and reached heroic briefly lol. Down to like 900 something but went on a 7 game winning streak even with the top guy on our team being 2600+.

the issue is how to balance it--6 guardians really aren't going to be troubled much by non DPS phase "just kill everything and the boss" situations. That's why they throw in the fukkery to make it hard.
If you want a raid to basically be a really hard strike for 6 players, you're going to have to add a lot of fukkery---bullet sponge enemies, maybe boot to orbit on wipes, and other shit that people would also quickly get annoyed about.
I'm okay with certain mechanical fights. Stuff like the dogs in Leviathan is just....unacceptable. The plates are also meant to serve as a way to separate each player and test their ability to stay alive without getting carried.
Man, I just want a boss or events that move more than anything. Not teleport around, something that is actually out to kill instead of just sitting there being a turret. I don't think you need sponges or wipe punishment. It's a map and encounter design issue. The vault is okay, but deciphering terminology isn't a substitute for basic stuff. Even Warframe doesn't do this.
I can't believe you can go an entire raid and not circle strafe once. Outside of the platform sections, do you ever even need to jump?

Worth watching through just for the disrespect at the end.
Please tell me what cybernetic implants I need to get to play like this. This build is so cool but running it just results in me getting shot to ribbons. I don't know how he doesn't get a shotgun to the face in every single one of those sidearm engagements, or get insta-snuffed by a 180 rpm hand cannon or Bygones in half those snipes.

That's why they throw in the fukkery to make it hard.Yeah pretty much this. I got bored with every fight in the division because it was the same exact thing. Bullet sponges and finding cover and staying behind it so you don’t die. Strikes can be boring too when you can easily burst everything down. At least with raids you have to coordinate and force people to pay attention.

don't think its really a flat choice between two models of poor game design..... division has some of the worst 'bosses' in gaming
hell, actually dodging attacks would be better than pretty much every platforming section

This raid is really dumb Jesus

Another night of Escalation Protocol, another goose egg - this is going on 3 weeks now. The first week I did it I got like 5 shotguns, then nothing ever since. Fortunately once you get 5-6 people going off it’s one of the most fun and chaotic modes in this game, but it would still be nice to finally complete this weapon set.
It wasn’t all bad though, the level 7 boss dropped a Cerberus +1 for me, which is the only Forsaken exotic drop I’ve ever had. It’s a seriously fun weapon, really feels like you’re just chewing through whatever you’re shooting at.

Can’t decide what to do this week. So much to do and I still need the EP smg. Then all my chars can do the content. Damn you Bungie.
IB, ST, FOL
Yup, it's overkill
At least I got my final subclass for my warlock main 🧙♂️
Nova warp in town baby
Y'all should go see Mars this week, for lore reasons.

Inaugural Address (Pulse - Kill Clip, Outlaw) , Supremacy Sniper (Kill Clip, Snapshot sights), and Wardcoil + Golden gun.

soooooo im really trying to understand bungie's framework here
chaos reach's damage was bugged due to framerate? as in, higher FPS meant a significantly higher damage output
like how do you even get yourself into that hole lmao

Probably the same reason if you have a higher fps you can die after being shot through one of the lifts.
Really trying to understand what bungie was trying to achieve with some of these maps
For the love of god just give me a fair one

Friendship ended with Sweet Business
Now Cerberus +1 is my best friend
Aside from a lack of range, it does everything I was using the Tigerspite for better. It absolutely shreds ads in PvE. In PvP it’s the shotgun ape crusher I’ve been seeking for so long.
I got a Right Side of Wrong with rangefinder + zen moment fitted with a counterbalance mod to pair with it as my long range weapon. With all those perks paired with a pulse targeting helmet it has stupid bullet magnetism. People are running around corners and I’m still getting them. If I can get a range or stability masterwork on it (dropped with handling, meh) it’ll be awesome.

Cerberus +1 is probably one of the most underrated pvp weapons in the game man. Decent range as an AR, but once people are within the optimal range it gets super ugly and no one seems ready for it. Some weird ass Universal Remote bastard son.
Why would you not want a AR/SMG/Shotgun hybrid that does proper work in the air?
