All day everyday
The latency with picking up the engrams kills the mode
Can carry a team to victory in Supremacy. Control not so much. Plus the map sizes, point locations and spawns. You can basically spawn trap people on so many maps. Legion's Gulch is one such. Get A and C keep them at B and its the worst time to get out of there. Two lifts and a narrow bridge.

The spawns in Destiny are bad enough that any extra help towards directing action towards those locations is BAD
a lot of people don't even know when they're trapped either lol. they just keep dying and don't realize that skill isn't the reason they're getting stomped, its just the positioning and control point advantage

I mean I basically resort to not capturing control points because of all the reasons RAU listed but if I have to resort to that then doesn't that defeat the point of the objective? Just make it Clash all the time then.
And some maps are most definitely not meant for Control but they turn decent Clash maps into shitty Control maps. Bungie has a problem of trying to make one thing work for two things all the time. They just need to drop the pretense that they are capable of balancing it out.

The thing about control is that the control points are important, but honestly not the most important thing going on. They're bait for the average player. The placement of spawns in correlation to those control points is alllllways gonna be priority over taking a control point yourself...
The game type would be better if people didn't treat it like domination from call of duty. If you've got good map control, the points will take care of themselves. Points aren't worth dying over most of the time.

You can get up there with mods but there's a new system now. If it's like how it was, yeah you're only going to get about 7/8/9 depending on what you're wearing and what pieces you're modding. And there's not much in the way to get mods atm other than buying one of the two from gunsmith or landing some gear that's already got it. Though as a hunter you'll want some resil too anyway to be less squishy.
By reilo Go To PostSo Warlocks are the only ones that can get armor that maximizes recovery?Because Warlocks are the Traveler's one true chosen the other two are just there to make up the numbers

I will never understand why Bungie brought back sliding shotgun from thirty feet away cheese. We've been through this in D1 already lol
im sayin
mods are valuable af with the way the infusion economy is looking. good gear is a long term investment lol

So still surprised my groups got to Riven. Had so much turnover and pretty much everyone we got was new to the raid. And I'm guessing the I was the greenest yet I ended up leading most of the weekend. I had no raid experience prior to this past weekend.
By DY_nasty Go To PostDisgusting propaganda from Hive sympathizersOh please, that was one guy.
How many expansions does this game have? I have so much gear that's locked behind expansions and it's getting annoying.
There's a bunch of gear you won't have by virtue of it only dripping during past seasonal events too so chill.
I finally got The Jade Rabbit for the first time in either Destiny (and I loved scouts in D1 so that stung). It takes some getting used to, and I’m not sure it justifies the exotic slot in PvP, but it seems pretty great for PvE dps & long distance crowd control. It handles the Dreaming City better than just about anything I’ve got in kinetic.
Would have been happy with just the tangled shore as a location but the dreaming city is a game changer.
Seriously, you can see the effort. My only complaint is the blind well is a bit our of the way and should be matchmade to find peeps to do it.

By Bold 2 in One Go To PostWould have been happy with just the tangled shore as a location but the dreaming city is a game changer.I thought it was just a small area with the well in it, so I wasn’t in any rush to get there. When I finally did, it was like, holy shit. I thought I did everything in this expansion, but suddenly here’s probably the best sandbox they’ve ever put in Destiny (it’s this or the Dreadnaught) and it’s got way more in it than it first seems. Mind blown.

there are far more secrets, more layers, more mysteries - I can't tell you how happy I am Destiny is finally embracing its more fantastical elements, I hope they double down on it. It just makes things more interesting.
These are from before D1's release, yeah, they're concept art, but still, it evoked the things we are just getting now
They might as well go more mystical since they already wrote a story line in with built in resurrection.
nelo at what live level did you first try to raid?
thinking about seeing if i can at least get the first encounter or two done before reset. I'm 343 or something atm

So it is definitely doable in mid 540s but from what I understand 551 is the recommended bare minimum to not struggle raid lol.

Mag sizes being horrific for the best TTK is an issue

is a 100k nightfall possible at mid 540's?
did the featured dreaming city strike and shit was a a strugggggggle
By Dark PhaZe Go To PostMag sizes being horrific for the best TTK is an issuesmgs deserve to have the best perks if they're gonna exist in no mans land imo
mag size aside, i want -no- mid air accuracy reduction, faster melee cooldown, slide reloads, dragonfly/headseeker, all that shit
I've only done one 100k Nighttall. Did Savathun's song at 554 or something. Rest of my team was like 560 I think. Took us multiple attempts and we got across the finish line at like 107k.
By Dark PhaZe Go To PostMag sizes being horrific for the best TTK is an issueYes it's possible.

You know what? The exotic perk is still pointless in PvP, but Jade Rabbit does 66 on crits now so you can triple tap most players, and it feels way better to fire than Graviton to me. It’s really growing on me.
I got the EP warlock bond...uh, these things have no perks? This might be anti-climactic. Which sucks, cause the set is badass looking.
By DY_nasty Go To Postsmgs deserve to have the best perks if they're gonna exist in no mans land imoI just want MIDA Mini Tool to not be completely unusable.

Riskrunner is the only good smg I’ve ever used tbh. But even that’s really situational, for arc burn strikes etc.
By Dark PhaZe Go To PostAt least I got a kali kill before resetNope :(. Had to resort to randoms and I’ll be out of town starting Wednesday. So still have to pack tomorrow and probably won’t be able to play till Sunday.
Nelo did you get your Revin kill?
With that said all the random D2 app groups I had were chill and patient.
I'm not sure why Nightstalker is suggested for Kalli. You have to wipe the ads so quickly in the middle there's no time to get any orb generation. Much better to go blade barrage and get that extra damage for the boss DPS.
I suppose windguard might also work--depending on whether or not she can one shot melee you while in your super or not
