the good news is we never have to play true PVP ever again with gambit being a thing soon

I legit can't stand control but supremacy is the one they take out to put on rotation ok. Just make quickplay only clash ffs.
By Bold 2 in One Go To PostBut control is easier to funNo
Explains so much including why control is ultra terrible lately. How I'll have an insane kill count and kill death but its like some people on my team don't know right from left. Crucible devs are amazing at just killing off the pvp participation. There's only so much lowered skilled people want to get shit on.

By reilo Go To PostSo Spring 2020 we can expect D2 to be D1 again, coolJust in time for D3STINY.
By NinjaFridge Go To PostHow did they only notice this now? It's hard for me to believe it just started with that update. My games since d2 hit essentially have been lopsided trash. Guess it's worse since the patch. And regardless of what people think should happen in quickplay (CBMM, SBMM, combo of the two, nothing at all more social) I'm of the opinion I shouldn't be getting 3-20 kd for like 90% of my games in a working system.

more hilarity.
To me all of this is missing the forest for the trees.
Quickplay essentially became the de facto pvp for everything because competitive is a shitshow of a ranking system that doesn't even work right, there existed penalties for losing streaks and it's chock full of premades. At the end of day most of the population of any given shooter are solo players. Destiny 2/bungie actively shat on them from the onset and still does with things like the team shot meta and weapons only available from Trials or ranking up in Glory/Competitive.
The population dropped off Trials quickly after launch because anyone new to the fray basically got shit on by flawless trials teams right off. Real smart strat there.
Competitive basically has the same gametypes as trials but did not require a 4 man fireteam to play. I never bothered with it because I don't like Destiny without radar and the gametypes are a quasi elimination clash (team deathmatch) and countdown (a bomb/assault archetype). Once you exhaust the team lives in the former you don't spawn anymore and you can be revived in the latter but all the players only get a single revive. And there's rounds upon rounds of that crap. It just keeps going. It's now a premade haven so it's dead af too.
Quickplay is what I've been in since the start and what many have eventually gravitated to (if they have not outright quit pvp entirely) because the games are fast, any size party can join, radar exists and you get clash when it's not control. Even supremacy got rotated out so clash happens even more often now.
There are rotating playlists like Supremacy, Iron Banner, Doubles, Rumble but as I mentioned they're not permanent.
The end result is everyone is mostly in quickplay now and a lot of people want different things from it because they've given up with Trials and Competitive.
Quickplay could be like social from Halo, it probably should to be fair, but they need to rework pvp entirely so there's say a clash only, solo only team playlist. For whatever reason bungie seems content to wall off so much of pvp from people who just want to hop in and play some semi competitive close to the end games.

Can't wait to play Destiny 2 with random rolls and faster TTK PVP. It's like counting down the days of a prison sentence.
Because D2 was rebooted like 17 months before launch. Its clear all their main efforts went into Forsaken
So it sounds like D2 is going to redeem itself. I should finally get to opening the copy and year 1 pass that came with my Pro lol.
By Bold 2 in One Go To PostBecause D2 was rebooted like 17 months before launch. Its clear all their main efforts went into ForsakenThat's the how but not the why.
So long as they don't reset us back and get rid of all the QOL and sanbox improvements like they did for the start of D2 - they should be fine.
But D3 is still ways away - 2020 to coincide with the release of the new consoles.

there's nothing in destiny that's fun to shoot all the strikes are ass. somehow the pve is worse than waiting for doors to open in destiny 1

Come Forsaken I hope they get some of their crucible matchmaking shit together. The lower ttk, random perks on guns, and all the good fixes won't be shit if the game is still divvied up like it is and matchmaking is fucking awful.

lmao
Iron Banner change is dumb. Encourages the roving power play stupidity. Also it's definitely got their trash SBMM. If you're solo don't bother with that mess unless you have to.
By DY_nasty Go To Postsounds like typical iron bannerNah it's worse than last time, which is saying something.
By Dark PhaZe Go To Postdy has always loved iron banner the most for some reasonbecause i don't even slightly depend on my teammates in IB. the true solo experience
They f'ed that part up with D2 IB though. Light level means shit. The best place to not depend on team mates right now is Clash Quickplay but control is in there too. =/.
light level was always just shit outside of 2-4 weeks of an update. if you go into a level barrier'd instance under prepared you're just asking for Ls
seeing kids try IB in Destiny one getting 2 tapped was hilarious and depressing. i can deal with a lot and carry decently enough - but the death pace in most D2 games just means you're never going to win that battle unless you're churning through everyone at a ridiculous speed.
its just not fun. in D1 you could make plays on skill and timing. in D2 its all about power ammo management and actually keeping your team alive long enough to not hand out a dozen deaths a minute

By Bold 2 in One Go To Posttriple valor points, get in there if you want to max it out and IB tokens tooIf you need to get Legend for the solstice armor or resets for the ghost but at this point eh. Tokens are 2 for an L, 5 for a win. If you can guarantee wins I guess it's worth it to save up for next season but otherwise why torture yourself.

The other team has bronze - diamond too. Random but usually still more even than IB.

Iron Banner, my team is averaged out between whatever bullshit insane ELO I got myself to with my team mates being the lowest and we gotta play a premade of the middle between those two. Also technically I gotta carry but it's really NOT happening there.
But in both I basically have to outkill the person with .25 kd at the end of the game.
Also both are laggy as shit right now.
