In betas, I tend to look at things that aren't just number tweaks or other small bits of polish. Base mechanics, map design, progression system (again, looking for things that number changes won't fix), game modes, various system integrations, and things like that.
There are some things I like (ARs not melting everything in sight), some I'll need to get used to, (Primary lyfe), and some things I can't understand (Hunter abilities). But overall it's a WAY better foundation than D1 had
The thing that scares me about Destiny 2 is I think we might end up looking back at Destiny 1 has having far more customization in terms of playstyles....and it was still a game that felt limiting in terms of playstyle.
There's stuff in Destiny 2 that really makes me laugh out loud--nerfs that have no reason to exist. Stuff like not being able to one shot off striker charge that ALREADY has an added nerf cooldown, sticking someone with a fusion grenade and it NOT being a one hit kill...
these maps are woefully mediocre even by destiny standards too, let alone GOAT quality maps like lockout, gulch, midship, etc from Halo series
dawnblade super is horrific btw
shrugging off supers right now is easier than its ever been--we spent years learning how to defend and avoid the ridiculous threats of Destiny 1 supers and now its like..yeah, you aint killing me with that bruh

Seriously. Especially when they are class specific. I hated having to pull three moves to get a kill as a Hunter only for another class to roll through and be able to just off me with a one-hit nade.
fuck that
if I stick you with a grenade, it should be the end, sticky grenades have complete trash AOE damage otherwise--they are all or nothing options because they don't do damage unless you actually stick someone
if you want to argue that there's too much magnetism or its too easy to stick someone then thats another thing

By Dark PhaZe Go To Postfuck thatI'd work with that IF grenade recharge wasn't fast and buffable through other abilities, there was no burn, and the magnetism got turned waaaay down.

Out here getting stuck mid blink and shit as is
Okay if that's true then why does my Hunter's knife to the head only do 170dmg and takes twice as long to recharge and is even harder to land?
Sticky nades needed to go and thank god they are gone - that insta kill nonsense was so bereft of skill, it was COD4 martyrdom levels of BS
Those alpha effects are nasty.
Also think the lighting on some objects is really uneven in that in some scenes things look really rich in depth and in others the lighting looks incredibly basic.
And the frame rate. My God the frame rate.

we really gonna complain about sticky nades of all things given the plethora of bullshit at one time or another in Destiny OG?
-- blade dancer invincible unlimited airdash tracking fukkery
- sunsinger "touched by GAWD" nades
- "peekaboo" thorn
- "your goldengun aint shit" sunbreaker
but I stick you with a fukin grenade that has a 5 minute cooldown in destiny 2 that only takes your shields off and its "thank gawd its balanced now"

By Dark PhaZe Go To Postwe really gonna complain about sticky nades of all things given the plethora of bullshit at one time or another in Destiny OG?The one thing that legit pissed me off most was the 1shot nades ironically. It got nerfed in both directions but I'm glad Bungie has options for handling it in either direction.

Supers are free now. There's nothing super about them (maybe sentinel, but that's because of multipurpose utility). I legit have no concern regarding them at all. They're barely a threat and they barely happen.
The weapons... hit registry is wonky. I'm not sure what's going on, but it feels different. Its subtle, but its significant enough to make me miss shots I KNOW would've hit in D1 - and I can't tell when I get kills either which is a problem too.
I'm not sure where they're headed with customization but I almost feel like I NEED to see something on that front now. I agreed with their concerns about only a few builds being serviceable, but I don't think reducing variation across the board is the answer (could be a really dumb comment considering these loadouts are basically nil)
Man, solid 30fps is a joy to play coming from PUBG, looks great too . Not much point downgrading the graphics, 60fps would be a bit pointless given how well it plays already.

Stop it.
man they gotta do something about PvE for real because inverted spire on nightfall is gonna have people looking for a receipt
By Dark PhaZe Go To PostThink I'm a titan main again. Was hoping for a new direction this time but nopei want to be hunter again but golden gun and dodge is shit and i don't fuck with 3rd person roaming supers. never used bladedancer once.
By Laboured Go To PostAnyone playing PC beta?I played a little

I only play with UKers who went to private school in the south east m8.

Should be able to region lock the rest of the UK tbh. If I wanted to play with Welsh people, I'd move to Wales.

By Laboured Go To PostWelsh people can't operate computers m8.
You're both cunts.
On a serious note, this seems ready for prime time. Very, very strange it's not out until end of October. Almost like it's artificial.

But, yeah, most companies who have a beta within a month or two of release have a stable product that is just about ready for release. If the devs knew there was an abundance of jank or other issues, they would prefer not to release the beta.
I'm not sure how the clan stuff is gonna work between platforms, but shoot me info today and I'll make sure you're in.
By Laboured Go To PostBnet is Laboured#1710We had a pretty active one. Whole group was awesome.
You gunna set a up a SLAENT clan then?
I'm just not sure how the PC side is going to work. I'm also slightly butthurt about the character progression being brought over to D2 the way it has.

They won't be playing video games, m8. We know they get their jollies hunting minorities on horseback

If only I could I could increase my dexterity stats to be able to use kb/m

Open beta for PC users who did not buy the game starts to day at noon CST.
only thing I'm jealous of the pc version about is the FOV slider--it's just too close up on the console version for no reason

Reason for getting Quake Champions on PS4?
By Kibner Go To PostHDR isn't just for Pro. It's for both.
Assumed it will be available for PC version since its apparently already up and running in beta.
Game plays incredibly smooth at 60fps, and KB/M is a dream. First thing I did was change the FOV to like 95 or so, able to run everything at High at 2560x1600 and hold 60fps.
There's really no reason to go PS4 if you have the option between the two, imo. Feels like a completely different game.

By Smokey Go To PostReason for getting Quake Champions on PS4?No, I mean, playing Quake Champions on PC with a huge FoV and extremely fast game play to Destiny 2 on PS4 with much narrower FoV and slower play.

isnt quake exclusive to pc anyway
game is smooth af on pc. i know slaent and my friends all play on ps4 but it feels so good to play on pc.
