Destiny 2 | Lightfall: No Carpenter Brut, no Sale

I feel like Destiny has so many weird design decisions. I'd write more, but I'm on my phone, which means I can't type as well as I would like to.
But, none of it makes any sense. Why focus on 4v4 over 6v6, why make power cooldowns long, why have things like tanks in the campaign and not in PvP? It feels disjointed, at best.

There's a lot of wtf. Right now I wish there was something 4-6 people could do or bigger fireteams to be allowed to jump between public events. I have a group of friends playing and as 4 we can only do pvp, someone has to drop for pve to be done. 5 we can't do anything really. 6 is raiding but it'd be nice to have a pvp with 6v6 so that group of 5 has something to do if we can't get enough for a raid but wanna have fun together. Then there's the whole endgame is only that raid for folks so you gotta get 5 other people together. Even just some shallow shit that you build up to would be nice. As of right now I'm just playing stupid RNG with the gunsmith for some mods. Another bone I have to pick since it seems every fucking thing is random drops off engrams and no vendor. I love the way it plays but there's so much stupid I dunno.

It's the same timeline as the first game, first DLC 3 months after release, second DLC 3 months after that and then a six month break until the next major DLC.

Really gonna depend on how visually different it is. Can't say much until I see more.

I kind of like everything I saw but it kind of means nothing without proper changes to the power fantasy of the exotics, meaningful loot chase, etc

In addition to the new areas shown, Bungie showed off a new kind of activity called a raid lair. It basically takes old raids and adds new, separate sections to them that can be completed on their own.

It's bad enough they recycled D1 sections and threw them into D2 as MP maps... but wtf?

Gonna go to 330 like the other expac. Then I imagine 365 the second one.

Gonna be some more adventures, strikes and raid content is all they're saying and that's old news.

I guess ps4 gets a pvp map.

HCR is basically a dud. The 450 RPM assault rifles are all more or less equally good. It's the biggest placebo thing ever. There are a number of videos on this that prove it.

Light level upgrade, but it seems like the game is still using a token system for the new vendors which hints at a similar kind of loot system. It seems like the loot worth getting will be coming from this strange vex mod thing they have going.

Trying to explain to friends who barely or didn't play Destiny pvp I end up sounding like a huge asshole but it's Destiny man.

Disengage from fights.
Let your shield/health bar go back up before you engage again.
Stop going to that part of the map.
Use your radar. Some guns and helmets also have them on scope.
Stop trying to get a read on "the best weapons" used by whatever streamer and get a read on how YOU play or want to play and gear up towards facilitating that. I can't cheese anymore I just find spots I can mida from and places to back my ass up to if they're aggressive.
Always hug some cover.
Check the flank.
Don't group up so bad you're inviting a super to take out the entire team.
Don't sit on my ass so I can't back up and disengage from a fight. Get your own cover too I don't want to be collateral damage to a nade or rocket intended for you.
STOP GOING TO THAT PART OF THE MAP. DO YOU WANT TO DIE.

The map one is the worst. They genuinely don't believe me about no go zones in Destiny maps.

I just chill at that big main building and let people show their ass. People don't get it and I'm like "let them show their ass man." They think it's CoD.

Okay, so that's...some good news, I guess. IGN just put up a video about it being a little flat, but I haven't watched it yet.
Also, I feel like I'm okay at pvp when I'm not using guns I hate. That's been the biggest change for me.

Pc is so fluid and the handling. Console would feel so weird and sluggish now.

Console auto-aim will legit fuck you up when shooting against two players and snatch onto the wrong guy.

Playing with a controller and wrecking things. The game is so streamlined for one even on PC. Sides I'm not trying to e-sports it up. I don't like keyboard. If they had mouse + stick I'd do that.

I'm a mida user and all but Vostok is legit the worst map imo. Just spend your time playing hide and seek to get shot from like 500 ft away. It's not fun Bungie, the fuck.

So many maps just don't have a flow to 'em or even a place to chill if you're relatively good that's not the best but will let you regroup. It's like you're either in THE spot or you fucked.
