PvE seems well suited for the long term. 3.0 light classes is really just huge in terms of build crafting, to say nothing of weapons crafting.
Elephant in the room is PVP. We need a PvP 2.0 badly, and hopefully the Sony acquisition will help them achieve the bandwidth to take that on.

I'll comment on that article after reading it. Looks juicy.
Story is finally progressing tomorrow boys! Surprised they didn't do this a week ago, but whatever.

are they referencing that nonsense that dropped yesterday?

Legendary solo while relying on blues is painful. Crutching invis hard rn.
Void dive making you invis + weakening/stunning enemies is satisfying AF.
When you forget to kill a ghost on high difficulty content...whew. That shit hits deep, especially if you drained good resources to get the job done.

I've been upgrading my MWed out stuff and wormhusk cause I got the glimmer and refuse to do the blues life
basically did a void set up where i can invis, get health, weapon reloaded (like the reload dodge atm) and been keeping around weapons that have auto-loading holster so they're ready to go if i need to switch
soon as I get a good primary non-exotic that I actually like I'm gonna strap on borealis for all the different shield types
love the new destination too, i just run around trying to find new shit, just gotta figure out how/when we get deepsight updates

Don't even need borealis anymore. Match game is gone and with how wells work you can basically do what you want along with the perks that just don't give a fuck about shields
plus the new gl has the same gimmick if multi element has to happen

Gotta basically do its bullshit at some point. I've been killing stuff without matching shields but it is quicker to do.

ATM I'm just doing random weapons to extract stuff or my old shit. Can't tell what I like or don't like yet. Stuff mostly has the same archetypes as before it just looks different. Unless I have a deepsight/leveling weapon to do I'm still just running around with AoS. Still bullshit good every season. At some point I'll really get into whatever this glaive crap is (I got one there's just so much going on right now lol it's a good thing though.)
Soon as I start doing more fireteam stuff though I might break out Omnio or Rigs and see how those fair. WH been doing more work than ever.
Far as new perks go Turnabout seems good as hell.

Will hopefully beat the campaign today. Said fukkit and pumped up some of my best gear lol. Legendary solo was like naw fam you aint finna use that blue grenade launcher with 40 second reload speed here.
Really enjoying it. New HDR implementation is great on Ps5--no longer washed out. This might be the first time in...a while, if not ever, that I've actually enjoyed Destiny PVE as a pure combat puzzle. The campaign arenas were clearly developed with legendary difficulty in mind--with all the different bail out paths, vertical spaces, etc.
Haven't touched PVP yet. Whole can of worms.

We haven't played in a couple days due to real life stuff, so we have only beaten the mission right after picking up the glaive. We've been playing it on the legendary setting, so far, and have been enjoying it. Definitely forgot to kill the ghost of a lightbearer mob on that last mission so it respawned and we ended up dying and having to do it all over again. lol

My biggest gripe of solo (or even fireteam play) before was how small the areas were.

Yea…. We’ve come a long way since D1 lol
Small Indie Dev Bungie back on top
Finally beat the main campaign on legendary in a marathon session today. Was good. 1520 light level now.
By Kibner Go To PostFinally beat the main campaign on legendary in a marathon session today. Was good. 1520 light level now.How was it considering you've been kinda away from things for a while?
By DY_nasty Go To PostHow was it considering you've been kinda away from things for a while?Positives:
- new class features aren't locked behind annoying weeklies
- I only got lost on where to go once
- mechanics were far less vague than I'm used to in this game
- lots of fun and interesting fights
- I like the pattern extraction thing
- story was mostly easy to follow and actually interesting for someone who has never been up-to-date with the lore
Negatives:
- there was one section of a particular mission that took forever and had no checkpoints in between, so it really fucking sucked if you died
- wish the drops for pattern extraction would prioritize what you haven't unlocked, yet
- still too many "fly to this planet, talk to person, fly to another planet, talk to person, go to mission" for my liking
- some buggy shit happened in the pen-ultimate fight where we both had black screens for several minutes; thankfully, changing character, rejoining fireteam, and going back to the mission put us right back at that checkpoint again
Some weapon recs for people for this expansion, will update if and when I feel.

Ok, I have spent just enough time with the pattern weapon system and I think I love it. It does a couple things that I really like.
1) If you find a weapon you like to use, you can keep using it! And even customize it to work how you want. And it gets stronger and more flexible the more you use it.
2) Encourages/forces you to experiment with other weapons in order to get the materials you need to change/upgrade your favorite weapons. This helps you possibly find a new favorite weapon!
The level of grind is still TBD, but I really like the bones of what is there. It seems like a good compromise between RNG and customization. Finding what you want but still encouraging experimentation and more playtime. And the grind has you also playing the game, i.e. shooting things and not some side activity.
Really happy with this system and hope it is a staple going forward.

The origin of that new Hive grenade launcher exotic is hilarious. Finished the quest line last night.
Loving how quickly the deepsight weapon drop rate in activities is being addressed. Can't believe this is the same Bungie that let Lord of Wolves run wild for months
