The way bungie has done pinnacle weapons they really ruined PVP. It's not even shit earned by the best it's just account recovs and laggy clowns with the best stuff. Nothing more fun than getting blown away by jerks who don't even strafe ugh.
I give them props for the pinnacle weapon idea, it was misguided though giving the top 1% who have infinite time to play the game OP weapons to go on stomping sprees.
I am fabled level away from getting my Luna but its suicide as a solo player.
On topic, drop Countdonw, bring back Rift, its mind-blowing how that mode is still on the shelf

All I can say about these destiny 3 leaks fake or not is that I don't care unless they can just give me a D1/D1 like experience but with way way more content from day one and support going forward. Just way more transparency (lol we ask but lololololool). D3 has to suck fuck and swallow, bungie has to hard sell me especially for day one. I got so nostalgic about D1 today idk why, I miss it. I feel like I hate everything about D2 save the 30 second loop when you're in it. It feels good to shoot monsters in this man, so good. I just despise the way everything else works/connects. I hope D3 is simple, and just rewards me for playing, all the time, constantly, for everything.
shit is gonna be horribly convoluted lol
kibner saw this shit coming even before black armory. their 'hardcore rpg systems' are a pain the ass for anyone with a life outside of the game

Who am I kidding. Their gonna hit us with some deep lore bullshit in a hot cgi trailer and I'm gonna be too curious because I'm sick in the head.

By Kibner Go To PostMore RPG stuff would be great! However, it seems the changes they made in Forsaken to make it more 'hardcore' than Year 1 D2 is add a much steeper grind. So, if they say that D3 is going to be even more of a difference from D2 in the same respects Forsaken is, then I'm worried about how close to a Korean MMO the grind is going to get.
The worst part of destiny grinds is you don't even get anything it's all rng bullshit or tedious kills up until you get something and then the roll sucks.
Glitches are fine. I can live with that. Games have more moving pieces than an actual car. Things happen.
My inventory is full of shit that I will NEVER have a clue about what it's purpose is. They expect you to comb the desert for what should be in a tooltip.

They've nailed the lore.
Forsaken will most likely be their template moving forward.
Carry over the current locations - Its wasteful and inefficient to trash the Dreaming City for D3, thats lost value.
Carry over weapon and armour by utilising the collections system and tripling vault space.
Dedicated servers, where PVP can be balanced separately with leader-boards and other modern PVP components
60FPS and wider FOV on next gen consoles.
Deeper endgame at launch
Do all of this and Bold will go missing.

By Bold 2 in One Go To PostThey've nailed the lore.I'm forever unamused with how long matchmaking takes just to have a lopsided af game. Who knew I'd be pining for the days of over 10 fucking years ago when it comes to halo matchmaking.

By Random Ass Username Go To PostI got shaxxs last partition and its been doing work. What do you have to do to get that?
Josh Hamrick (Senior Game Designer) and Jon Weisnewski (Senior Gameplay Designer) both gone from Bungie this week and I take this as a very good sign tbh.
By Random Ass Username Go To PostYes and yes.Still don't quite understand what they hoped to achieve by changing the core weapon set-up for D2. There was nothing wrong with it in the first place.
If redditors are to believed we can thank them both for dual primary system.

I was thinking earlier how D2 started.
Team shot meta, 4 man teams, 2 primary slots and slow af ability regen.
Destiny definitely needs some new people at the helm.

By Random Ass Username Go To PostI was thinking earlier how D2 started.Yeah, it's why I'm not sad, obviously, props to them for righting the ship though, I know we bitch and moan, but the game is is a much much more better place than vanilla

How can we give them props when they steered it away from the correct course to begin with?
"Props to that pilot for waking up from his drunken nap just in time to land the plane safely"
By reilo Go To PostDude noProps for eating shit for a year from all and sundry, they fucked up and fixed it... Sort of, yeah I think it's deserving of some recognition.

They shoulda, woulda coulda etc, all part of life's great sorrow. They get to leave the game in a better place.
If those were the same PVP guys I'm thinking of, they were notorious for laughing while dismissing community complaints and doubling down on issues that no one was for. Except streamers, the holiest of us.
I can't even be excited because that type of stuff echoes through all of the development decisions. It's not like this is a tonal shift imo. That was apparent and obvious regarding the Eververse course correction. These guys may be responsible for the sandbox problems, but the same types of issues exist throughout the game.

I hope they bring in some people from the blizzard team, one thing overwatch nailed in the beginning was its rock, paper, scissors style where everything could be countered.
Good luck countering a spec blade in the current set up

Oh God no anything but the overwatch development...
Between their inability to balance bullets, games dependent solely on team ult timing, seasonal events that should be a part of the actual game continuously, loot boxes for fucking voice packs, even worse map design than we already have, reactionary PR that's even worse than Destiny's response to Kek gear, etc - please no and never.

I think too many devs don't recognize when they get some things right - how they fuck themselves into a mattress is what really makes it easy to identify the ones who can't get out of their own way.
imo

I really enjoy even now how my nade is just never available when I truly need it. Or how long it takes just to recover from a fight so I can't even help my team mates out while I cower behind a wall like a bitch.
I can't believe they centered an entire content drop around Gambit prime
That's just crazy to me
It's not just the sandbox guys sipping their own koolaid.

Here's to hoping they just clear out more people who have made solo playing anything in Destiny worse than uphill skating. Whoever decided the game needed to cater to the .01% of the playerbase really fucked Destiny 2 up from the onset.
By toku Go To Postgotta learn to love yourself enough not to play this game king.
