Lost Odyssey was zzzzz.
Ground Zeroes was... Good. Not worth the $20 but I got it through PS+ so it was worth it through that. Kojima still has it, not huge on Kiefer as Snake and I adore Kiefer as an actor but his voice acting leaves a lot to be desired. Some of the gameplay changes are very welcome and the gameplay feels pretty fluid. It feels open but you get a sense that you can pick and choose how to get to the destination. Most definitely got big tanker intro vibes from MGS2.

i truly believe that lost odyssey is damn near unplayable now. it was unplayable 3 years ago. that game aged worse than almost any other game released since then.
I played LO in December 2009 and thought it was unplayable then. It truly didn't help that I played ToV first and the charm and gameplay was just so much more fun.

Lost Odyssey is slow for a SNES Turn-based RPG. You can't even go from Xenogears or FF10 into LO and not start playing with your hair. When LO dropped, it had a lot going for it because it looked fucking amazing at the time and ppl could fap to the graphics... but now? Man, no.
I eagerly dream of a proper Xenogears remake or re-release that fixes its two biggest flaws: the super slow loading times and the unfinished disc 2.

it wasn't the animations, just the overall stiffness of it all. then there was changing equipment too... random encounters didn't help.
