Its still overpriced, but it offers a HELL of a lot more content than TDB and laid out the framework for what should be a host of other positive changes in the future. Kinda like the D3 1.4(?) patch

2 and 3 have VASTLY improved combat mechanics but they're in very different directions tbh. i like each game for different reasons tho.

glad you enjoyed it though. if you really liked theme, check out the concept art. pure piffery. the story is all over the place as the game goes on (tbh, it never really made sense in the first one if you bothered to check the timelines) but it still has its high points here and there.

It is the best strike in the game. The new crucible maps are the best in the game. The story missions are the best in the game too. PoE is the best end-game content as well and is matchmade in the level 28 version. The weapon re-roll stuff at the Gunsmith back in the tower allows you to eventually create the perfect weapons for whatever situation (PvP be damned). The Wolves in Patrol are particularly dope when they spawn against a Daily Event (they've been changed a bit too) or force on force battle. Upgrade requirements fell off by a TON. Connection issues in raids have been handled in a great way. Crucible rewards have been doubled.

No raid though - but I fucking hated Crota's End anyways. I've never been a real fan of matchmaking for that type of stuff either because a bad raid group is easily one of the worst experiences in gaming right now.

But w/e. its a good expansion that laid out some solid stuff to work with in the future.

Trials of Osiris is literally everything wrong with Destiny's PvP condensed into a potent and tiny package. If you aren't rocking a ridiculously OP weapon such as The Last Word, Thorn, Hawkmoon, Mythoclast, or Red Death, have Last Round snipers, or are well-versed in the arts of Blink+Shotgun fighting, then you're in for some shit.

If you do have those things, its kinda fun lol

oh. well with level/power advantages enabled you guys probably weren't even doing damage lol. imo, if you aren't within 1 (2 if you're decent) of max level, you shouldn't be anywhere near 'open' pvp. just too much of a power difference

open PVP is garbage and i think the mode would be better with no revives.
but i guess they had to have something for the new gear if they have no raid.

PoE's got new gear too.

My hate for Raids is because all the gear is entirely RNG dependent and, if you're unlucky, you can be stuck with complete idiots/douchebags/bad players for however long it takes you to finish or tap out

TBF, its had a ton of updates since release. Its come a LONG way since it dropped - but the biggest issues were that it didn't separate itself from Civ and a lot of people were expecting Alpha Centauri 2. It got hit hard.

the interface feels clumsy compared to Civ but I think they nailed it fairly good

AC was just a Civ clone itself.

I haven't put enough hours in it yet to rank it among the Civs but might rank high for me

The Vaut of Glass is actually awesome, and its worth the time looking for a group to run it. All Raids aren't created equal though. Crota is shit. Its worth running once on normal and that's about it.

I'm trying to grind out some Vanguard Marks for vendor gear, but shit is tedious.

with enough marks between pvp and pve you can hit 32 between two resets (today and tomorrow basically, with resets being on tuesday and all). crucible gives double marks now, has the daily crucible thing as well. daily story missions give our more marks, strike playist dragon drops good gear and gives up moderately quick marks too. PoE28 is also full of decent drops all things considered

but yeah.... 32 is rough if you aren't within a level. all of the PoE arenas are.

Edit: does dismantling an exotic weapon give you an exotic shard? I have a thorn at 300, I just need the shard.

Not strong enough. Not the throwaway buggies in BL, but your own unique vehicle that you customize and level up as well. Like an armored van/truck big enough for everyone to fit in. Preferably 3rd person shooting/melee, maybe your own bases/territory to defend as well. Less story-focused, more battle for survival/resources. You could choose to join form alliances with other squads, or challenge squad leaders to a duel for some spoils.

Mad Max?

I doubt the Mad Max game is going to be that in depth. And preferably it would be a new IP to avoid being tied down by preexisting lore or expectations. There would probably unavoidably be similar elements because the Mad Max aesthetic is so well-known, but the scale of the in-game world itself would be global.
