Really hoping the gameplay of Infamous: Second Son lives up to the visuals.

I started playing the previous two and am enjoying them, but they're definitely a bit rough around the edges. Not nearly as refined gameplay-wise as they could be.

ff13 is the internet's favorite targets for irrational hate in all of last gen. "worst game of all time" is bs. people sucking on nostalgia's tit for the past decade couldn't point out a good rpg anyways. hell, most people hating on ME3 didn't even know the ending wasn't even what fucked up the game. in ff13's case, its still one of the best battle systems in an rpg. "the game is a hallway" - okay, but every game is a hallway. they just were more blunt about it. and its one of the best looking hallways you've ever seen. "all the characters sucked" all characters suck. if you want a good story, read a book. the only reason i'm pushed to my limit by ff13-3 is that its legit offensive in the way that it bludgeons you with a narrative that you HAVE to swallow in order to understand the game mechanics - mechanics that are just stupid in the first place. "the game doesn't even start until 13 hours in" 2 things. some games suck no matter how much you play them and tons of games have the same exact wall in place. tales of vesperia is arguably the best rpg of the generation and you don't even get access to the tutorial of a GLIMPSE of the full battle system until 12 hours in. i could go on and on but its not worse than what your mother did to get you into college.

My thoughts on Titanfall is that if it was F2P it would be awesome. But it is not $60 up front awesome.

Also the release of the new Thief game made me realize I had never played any of them. I grabbed the old ones from GoG but haven't sunk much time in.

Sadly my most played game lately is the very awesome Threes on iOS (now out on Android too), designed by a kid I worked with on a project back in college.

I was planning on getting Titanfall on launch day but before I bought it I sat and watched some streams and the giantbomb quick look and after really didn't feel like spending the money on it. I guess it is something you have to play to get (of course I am not a huge COD fan so it might just be that it isn't my kind of game).

Don't play Planet Side 2 then. Until you join a good outfit, you end up in the pub PUGS and oh god. It makes no sense. Some of the shit people do is just dumb.

It's even funnier on Briggs, the AU server, because we get a lot of asians on there too. And the pinoy's screaming over proximity chat can be hillarious.

SO I finally got Dark Souls 2 and I still havent booted it up yet. But I have been on that Walking Dead. Such a fantastic game, but glitchy and unresponsive as fuck. And DY I concur about Dynasty Warriors its simple and solid.(Ding Feng and Zhou Tai FTW) but the game I was enjoying for a minute was One Piece Musou 2. Took away all of the bullshit and gave you a DW game with One Piece characters that felt like you were utilizing them. Hard to explain. And My boy is importing the Basara sequel. Can not fucking wait.

To put it plainly, anything Basara-related is fucking dope.

And back to the Dynasty Warrirors thing... DW7:Empires finally got the empires side right after god knows how many attempts. Best create a character of the series, you can legit win a map on chaos without swinging your weapon once because stratagems actually work, strat side is about as good as you could ask for, online play and sharing is solid. If 8 ever gets an Empires release, I expect great things.
