By Silky Go To PostBattlefield 4 is laughably bad holy shit lmao. This campaign is cheeks.
You don't play BF for campaign. If you do it should be on PC for the graphics and that's the extent of it.
By Mister0079 Go To Posteveryone should be playing r6: siege
amazing game
What operators you running bub
on defense i use Castle on tighter maps, and Smoke on more open ones
attack i'm using Thatcher or Ash. Sometimes Glaz depending on my team and the map

But but Bad Company ;~;
I only played it because I was waiting on MP to finish, which is good. The campaign does pick up tho. The scene with the drowning sailors had me shook.
By DY_nasty Go To PostI want to love R6 but its deadddddddddd
The servers can be shit for sure. But haven't been so bad recently

By Esch Go To PostWhat operators you running bub

attack i'm using Thatcher or Ash. Sometimes Glaz depending on my team and the map
on defense:
Rook: if nobody else selects him since his armor can make a big difference
Castle: good for blocking windows on some of the maps
Kapkan: roaming around with his silenced shotgun weeeew
Jager: put down a few of his ADS and then break a window, his weapon is good for taking out a few of the enemies before they even enter the building. also never pick him on hostage maps, his ability is useless since you WANT the enemy to accidentally grenade the hostage
Pulse: scan the most likely enemy entry point near a breachable wall, put a nitro cell when they get close to the wall, boom free kill
on attack:
Blitz: good against disorganized opponents with no nitro cells, his flash shield is hilariously overpowering against single enemies
Thatcher: balanced, can take out signal disruptors and scan the area with your drone. his L85 is one of the strongest rifles in the game
Twitch: nearly the same role as Thatcher but her Famas is better for close range engagements
Fuze: cluster charge, high armor, AK12 = best pure assault role operator
Glaz: for the airplane map
i use the other operators if my team is winning easily
iq is the most useless operator in the entire game never pick her
By blackace Go To PostThank you so much!!!No problem. Hope you like it, it's a very interesting piece of interactive storytelling. I recommend having a piece of paper and a pencil when you are playing so you can take note of important things to search on the database.
By Mister0079 Go To Postiq is the most useless operator in the entire game never pick her
Only good thing about IQ is her AUG is a good weapon. She's situationally useless compared to Thatcher. They should just rework the character. I also think Tachanka is overall pretty shit and only sorta useful on the plane map when you're in the cargo bay... Kapkan has great weapons but his traps are so easy to see unless you're a moron 😕
lol
Man I have no desire to play anything on consoles right now outside of Madden or 2k
Waiting on that ROTTR on the 28th..

Just spent some time watching those old videos from when the Wii first released of proeple wrecking their TVs and other dumb shit.
By blackace Go To PostDragons Dogma was ALMOST great. Are they making a new one too?they are but it's a washed down mmo version that looks awful but they're porting the original to PC.
Never got to play it last gen since my PS3 died, It'd be cool if they could bring it to PS4.

Two thirds of the way through Assassins Creed: Syndicate
Have no idea whatsoever whether I consider it good or bad. The good things about it are only pretty good. The bad things about it are terrible, and there are a lot of them. It is incredibly repetitive. It very rarely captures the oppressive side of Victorian London, which is where the draw is. It controls like shit when climbing, driving or fighting. Traversal takes ages. It's rife with long loading screens. There are dozens on small NPC glitches every hour. Combat is brass. Stealth is complete dogshit. The lack of enemy appearance variety is a joke, especially when it extends to your own gang looking exactly the same as their's, only in different coloured jackets
The dichotomy even extends to the main characters. Evie is pretty good, nothing more, while Jacob is an absolutely cretinous jebend.
But there's something about the loop and setting that just keeps me in it. Overall, it's astonishingly average.
Think I'm good for one game like this every two years.
Objectively I'd give it a 6 at best, but I couldn't really disagree with anyone giving it a 2.

Man... AC3 did a number on me. I don't think I've ever been so done with a franchise after that.
Maybe Fable.

I hated that game with passion. Really, really just fucked up my ability to just love games for being games lol
ever since then, i've never been able to trust anything i put into my console
By blackace Go To PostA lot of these open world games control so badlyPeople who think GTAV has fantastic gunplay are lunatics
Wish they'd dial back the momentum in sharp directional changes as well, even if it shows off the adaptive Euphoria stuff
GTA and Saint's Row are mediocore control wise...
the only open world game that I felt had tight controls are the Batmans

I really like the shooting controls in the first 2 Infamous games, and the movement controls in Second Son
edit; oh yeah SD has awful driving
By DY_nasty Go To Postspeaking of…. where the hell is the REAL next gen infamous?SS really did feel like a graphics showcase rather than an Infamous game imo
ive been quite patient about this :o
The side missions were just completely thrown out the window to be replaced by awful sidetasks
The city is dull even compared to those of 1 and 2, and being based on a real city is not a valid excuse for a boring world
The combat in Sleeping Dogs is excellent. Melee is a joy to control and the guns have incredible feedback that is matched with the onscreen violence. Just great stuff.
I found the driving to be garbage though. Far too arcady for my tastes. I need something a bit more grounded in physics. This is one area that the last two GTA's have really hit on. A combination of the two would be great. Hell, having full time onscreen crosshairs in GTA would make a huge difference alone. Having to hold down a shoulder button to aim and then press another to fire is so misguided.

My Ryu Ga Gotoku backlog is pretty big... way too much time playing 4 and 5 for the 100% completion on both New Game+ I think 250 hours total to do a complete 100% finish last year...
working on Ryu Ga Gotoku Ishin and Zero the past couple months and both are really fun. I like both settings in each of these and I really like how Ishin focused more and changed the combat up. even tho i just play as kiryu in ishin the controls feel fine and i have more options. I just really miss playing as Akiyama since he is my favorite character in series.
I think 5 is the best game in the series period, but Ishin is second best and zero is pretty good too. These two had a different focus tho and it was a nice change of pace for how huge 5 was as a game. I will not get PS4 anytime soon but I have hope for 6 and how it carries on after the cliffhanger ending in 5.

Only tried Assault Horizon because it had Macross and imas collaborations. I'm not really heavily invested in the franchise as I am with other bandai namco franchises like Gundam, imas, tekken, or wangan midnight.
It was okay but I like robots like gundam and macross more i am not really a miliota like much of the audience for this type of game.

also sucks that macross is suffering a fate worse than death :\
I should check the PS2 games out but the premise of ace combat never really appealed to me to be honest. i saw it as miliota kind of game.
My preferred genre of game is mostly RPG, hunting action, puzzle game, and action game or arcade game genre like fighting game or otoge (jubeat/beatmania) or shooting game like musashihime and space harrier. I don't really like first person shooting. I usually prefer spend 40-50% of my leisure game time on my iPhone or handhelds. If I have time I play on PS3 or Wii U. or preferably at a game center if possible where I can play gundam, blazblue, guilty gear, jubeat.
Macross just doesn't know what it wants to be anymore since a lot of what makes up Macross does not overlap with what newer fans want.
I watch the preview over new years, it was different it wasn't bad. Macross was always more about the music and idols and the sub themes rather than the actual horrors of space and war like Gundam. Much of it is just old fans being catered to and clinging on to older stuff and not knowing what to bring in to expand the franchise. It was really big with 7 and Frontier got sales because anniversary. new anime isn't bad, at least not yet it might be good.

Delta? That preview was more like funeral lol
But Ace Combat 4 and on (not counting Horizon at all) is great cheesy gaming.

I used to like just mucking around in those games. But they managed to make just hanging about steadily less enjoyable - to the point where merely existing, so to speak, in an AC game is like driving a shit car in a shit game.
