No. Because it doesn't mean you're champions of england like a league does.
Mbappe on Wengers hitlist with a 100 million transfer kitty. lmfao.
Agreed
By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostYou are in a lucky position. As an Arsenal fan I want it more than anything. Winning the CL does not make you an elite club, but when you have the history of Arsenal it is the one thing that is stopping us from being put into the elite of European history.

By Laboured Go To PostTbf to Corbyn (I'm not a huge fan) he's done May here.
I think he makes May look shit but runs into danger regarding everyone else gunning for him.
Said it before but winning the CL without winning your league is pointless. May aswell win Europa.

Winning the league to get into the competition and then winning the CL is where it is at.
Winning the World Cup when you haven't won the continental championships prior is pointless
calling it the champions league is a little silly

Madrid have done it the right way this year. In Carlo's season they prioritised 13 games over 38 and came third. Third in their own country yet champions of Europe. Not rite.
Same with us this year. We won a European trophy and that's fucking class, but we're only the sixth best team in our own country.

By Hitch Go To PostThe Europa League is meant for teams who aren't amongst the best in their country.
Kind of, but CL teams coming down into the competition later on does vitiate that point somewhat.

And yes, England links to the wiki page of Manchester United.
By FlutterPuffs Go To PostYes?
We were the 6th best team in the country when we got into that tournament, and the 8th best when we lost the final. You won't find a more second-rate trophy without moving into the lower leagues.
You can argue all day about whether UEFA have devalued it with its structure, CL group failures dropping into it, that kind of thing. But at the end of the day its always been a trophy that you're only eligible for if you're not very good. People want it to be something that it can't be, it can never be a first-rate competition. Just look at how big a deal it has become because the winner gets CL qualification. In an ideal world, you'd assume that the winner would have earnt that through their league standing anyway.
Miggy D is making it sound like it's a race between Untied signing Fabinho and Chelsea signing Bakayoko as Monaco don't want to sell both.
Our back up options are Dier and Matic.
I really am not interested in Matic.

I'm so happy the season is over, I've not even bothered watching a compilation of Solanke yet. Something about a season where you spend the last few months just hoping not to drop any places, as opposed to looking upwards. Obviously we've ended up in a better spot than we've become accustomed to, but I've been going into every match with a worse mentality.
Raiola says Ibra wants to stay in England and at United, but nothing is concrete yet.
Fingers crossed. I don't think letting Zlatan go is the right option. Despite his injury.
Help him with recovery and then bring him back into play. Best non-signing signing during the January window ever.

By Vivalapizza Go To PostSome chap called Enes Unal who I’ve never heard of is leaving City to join Villareal for £12m.Either he's been on loan and impressed in some backwater, or something dodgy is going on there.

By Hitch Go To PostEither he's been on loan and impressed in some backwater, or something dodgy is going on there. He was the 4th best goalscorer in the Dutch league this season despite only just turning 20 (the others ahead of him were all in their late 20s). Scored some absolute bangers -- kid is the real deal. I'll post a video when I get to work.
I would have expected we'd get the €20m buy back price for him but this is a pretty good deal for all involved.

United need to jump on this bandwagon of buying ‘talented’ kids, sending them to rubbish league so they can look ‘talented’ and then banking a £10m profit on them.
I’m sure we could find a way to get a Western Union sponsorship deal out of it, too.

By Hitch Go To PostBring me the DT update'It's never gonna change robbie, never. We won the FA Cup, but so what? The board can say we won the FA Cup like it means something when it doesn't mean shit.'
United don't need to massage their financials like City and Chelsea which is probably why they haven't bothered to follow them

They lost the league with 3,2, and 1 points in the past three years. Atleti and Barca were just marginally better in those years. Its not like they put all their focus on CL. The bench carried Madrid for a lot of games this year while in previous years it was just the first team playing every game until they were gassed out by the end.
I've heard good things about Enes Unal actually. Still dont know if he can hit his potential or not.
Twente had 3 City players as a front 3 this season. Now that NAC is promoted, it'll be interesting to see if we keep having guys play for them as well. We are contractually obligated to have 4 at least at NAC.
Announcing the news, our majority owner Stan Kroenke said: “Our ambition is to win the Premier League and other major trophies in Europe. It’s what the fans, players, staff, manager and board expect and we won’t rest until that is achieved. Arsène is the best person to help us make that happen. He has a fantastic track record and has our full backing.”Oh do fuck off Kroenke you couldn't give a shit about this club.
By Plasma Go To PostOh do fuck off Kroenke you couldn't give a shit about this club.
Idk how he say with a straight face that a guy who hasn't won the league in 13 years is the best man to do it.
