Reported by @RuizAntonito that Atleti have a huge problem; they know Griezmann wants out, and can't stop him. The €100m clause and he leaves.
#Griezday
Everyone better start raising those release clauses
By GQman2121 Go To PostI always assumed it would take €100m to get it done anyway. That's around the cost of Pogba, no?Yes, just under. £87m.
1 - Paul Pogba, £89m
2 - Gareth Bale, £86m
3 - Cristiano Ronaldo, £80m
4 - Gonzalo Higuain, £75m
5 - Luis Suarez, £65m
6 - James Rodriguez, £63m
7 - Oscar, £60m
8 - Angel Di Maria, £59m
9 - Kaka, £56m
10 - Kevin de Bruyne, £55m
In £ Zidane is like 20th on the all time list now, but in € he's still in the top 10.
By Elchele Go To PostKevin De Bruyne was a steal in comparisonBoth overrated.
Oscar lol
Was Kaka broken before his move to Madrid?
Ronaldo is the true bargain.
Of course goals aren't everything but in his 8 seasons since joining Madrid he's scored 404 goals.
All the other players on that list scored a combined 323 goals for the clubs they joined, in a combined 21 seasons.

By Lunatic Go To PostAre those prices in real terms? No. But with the exception of Ronaldo and Kaka they're all recent enough for it to hardly make a difference. Somebody like Zidane however would probably be pretty high on this list in real terms.
By Vivalapizza Go To PostRonaldo is the true bargain. He's a legend of the game. Forever the one who couldn't be as good as Messi.

The Nadal to Federer.
Of the players on that top ten, Ronaldo is certainly the only one who's a generational player.
Pogba is the only one still young enough to have a chance.

Edit: Ohh, on that list.
Manchester City's Nigeria striker Kelechi Iheanacho, 20, will reject offers from Paris St-Germain and Borussia Dortmund to stay in England. (ESPN)lol. enjoy irrelevance at West Ham
By Killer7 Go To PostThat list is incorrect.
He is missing.
Alonso jr? Shame it didn't work out but happy he had a killer season this year, he was their MVP.
By Elchele Go To Postlol. enjoy irrelevance at West HamTbf he'd probably sit on the bench at both those clubs. Needs to play regularly.
By Frustrated_me Go To PostKroos was £20m, now that's a steal if I ever seen one.Would had been free 12 months later
By Killer7 Go To PostTbf he'd probably sit on the bench at both those clubs. Needs to play regularly.not if BVB ends up selling Auba. Nacho is pretty good and fast striker for what I've seen
If Favre wants him, he should take the chance

Madrid should have waited 3 more years to sign Ronaldo. He would have been free.
By Wengward Go To PostMadrid should have waited 3 more years to sign Ronaldo. He would have been free.meh, he wanted to leave. We didn't want to give him more money and he wanted RM. Could have had him for free in 12 months. Was decent business for both parties to sell him for €30M
kind of what is going to happen with Sanchez innit
By Vivalapizza Go To PostYes, just under. £87m.Neymar was more expensive than all of them

I am sorry ESPN, but anything less thanall of the top 10 most famous athletes in the world all being football players is ridiculous.

Now,
1. Ronaldo
2. LeBron
3. Messi
4. Federer
5. Michelson
6. Neymar
7.
8.
9. Nadal
10. Woods
I forgot who was 7 and 8 of the top of my head, I think one was Bolt. Fuck their statistics and methods.
I am sure there are tons of children growing up in poverty around the world who watch the telly and want to grow up to be Phil Michelson.
Lists like these are only done to give relevancy to other sports.
Messi being below Lebron is crazy too
like NBA is watched in other countries, but kids in Africa watch Messi, not Lebron

It is also crazy to have Messi below Ronaldo, I mean everytime a Madrid fan talks about Ronaldo they have to mention Messi at lest a dozen times.

The world cup final is the single biggest sporting event in the world. It isn't about who is the more popular is, I still say Messi, but who is the most well known, which again I would say is Messi.
Cristiano Ronaldo is more popular Shanks. He's more active in endorsements, and is a much more popular public figure to boot.
Messi Vs Ronaldo has literally come to the point of a popularity contest now?
Crazy thought: they're equally as popular. Shocking.
One thing I know personally since I cut the cord, dropped cable and stopped playing fantasy NFL football eight years ago is l can't name many athletes in US sports. Not like I used to anyway. I still follow my two local teams and Notre Dame football closely, but everything else? Nope.
Can't name more than ten NBA players; have no clue who is on the Vikings defensive line during OTAs; and no idea what the Dodgers starting rotation looks like this season.
These are all things I knew very, very well and wasted a sizeable portion of my life on when I was in my twenties. Dropping cable and having no interest in how US sports are currently covered with talking clowns is largely to blame. People must be eating that shit up though because it's only gotten worse over the years.

Messi doean't need to do endorsements.
Everyone just knows him for being the best footballer in the world.
That is where he gets his popularity :p

Ronaldo is more popular because he's taller.
More people get to see him.
Yeah it's morning, so what.

....It's not due to a stupid Messi vs CR7 argument, there's various studies shown how popular Cristiano Ronaldo is, and it edges Messi.
