I slowly but surely learning to enjoy the added desktop screen real estate. I've only been able to try a couple of games in UW (had 0 time over the past couple of weeks since I bought the Predator), but so far I'm only seeing positives. Battlefield 1 runs great and adding 21:9 support to Dark Souls 3 took less than a minute. The added immersion is great ... other than that it really changes nothing in terms of how you play games. 3440x1440 is pretty much ideal on 34" UW / 27" 16:9 (~110ppi). If I had to choose between 21:9 and 4K for gaming ... it's not even a contest, imo.
Having said that, much like g-sync, it's a great feature, but hardly something I'd consider essential.
