By rvy Go To PostWe could have won.paging el chele. he can still get his argentinian lupita, and maybe that call center job.
If she was Lupita Hermosa from Argentina.
Not Lupita Hermosa from the Honduras.
By Wedward Go To PostI like him but he is a really poor finisher. Don't think that will change.
Yup. He can't play up front alone, so you're stuck playing him out wide to... run around a bit, chase down loose balls, and press full backs? He's a useful body to have, I suppose, but very expendable in my book.

Walcott is a good attacking player. He can score and create goals.

I respect your opinion but this is literally one of the most alien things I've ever heard.
Does he have his uses, sure, but arsenal accepting a player of walcotts performance and ability as a standard is part of why we're so shit.
Walcott is Newcastle tier.

€40∼ million.
😶
Walcott has 19 goals in 33 games this season. He was pretty bad last season and kind of shit before that but he's been pretty good this season. It's not like Arsenal is flowing with attacking talent that it'll let someone leave who scores more than a goal every two games.

From the british core, he's by far the best one. Good squad player to have.

Aside from Sanchez he is our best finisher.
Definitely a luxury player because he doesn't do enough, but he can be very dangerous.
By Perfect Blue Go To PostSomeone give me the ELI5 version of what Neymar and co. did because I haven't followed it.As far as I can tell, Neymar's playing rights were in large part owned by one or more third-parties, and Santos. Barcelona and Santos (or one of the third parties) claimed that they'd agreed to sign him for something stupid like £25m, so if a third party owned say 20% of his rights, only £5m would go to them. Really though, the deal was for something like £80m, meaning they owed the third party £16m in relative terms, its probably actually a lot more than that.
Its ridiculously muddy though since his rights were spread across like 4 or more different entities, one of which is his father who is also his agent iirc. Bottom line is that Barcelona blatantly lied about the amount they'd paid for him so they wouldn't have to pay what he was worth to the companies that they had to acquire his playing rights from. They did a piss-poor job of hiding it as well, think Rosell let the cat out of the bag in a radio interview when he actually said 'we paid 80 million for Neymar' while the club was still saying they'd paid the fraudulent amount.
I got a job offer before leaving Rosario, in advertising, but I had planned to move to Buenos Aires already so I decided to turn it down. Was good money for a first job, but wanted to try Buenos Aires before giving up
Buenos Aires is fucking great. But more expensive :(

Walcott is very strange.
He's scored 19 goals this season, but I don't think he's been any better than usual.

Fuck third party ownership, though.
Walcott being at the club for almost 12 years now makes my blood boil. You see other clubs like Chelsea having Terry/Lampard, Liverpool Gerrard, United Giggs/scholes/Rooney (hes shit for a couple of years at least) and we have... him.
I don't like Welbeck, but to be honest, he's the kind of player that shouldn't have been sold, at least at the point he was. With the club since very young, English, works his ass off, permanent bench option and roster filler. Take Lingard, for instance: giving him a decent contract was a good move, the next contract is the one that should probably not be given, but at that point you would expect a new academy product taking his place.
By Perfect Blue Go To PostHey, thanks! That makes sense. Shitty situation.Indeed

Must be absolute shit to be a quality player who actually wants to win things, but your club moves are being decided by some suits in South America who are just trying to make as much quick money out of you as they can.

Neymar's father took the biggest pizza pie there, close to 40m euros. Santos made him what he is and took less than half of that lol
What a business man.

I can think he's both not good enough (I've got no problem selling him if we get a decent bid) and think that he's one of our best players. Not much to choose from, tbh.
And I can definitely think that he's better than Welbeck, because Welbeck is shit.
Everything about Neymar is something of a damning indictment of football, as good as he is
Third party ownership, family member living vicariously through him, diving, feigning injury, petulance, corruption, crazy focus on social media, marketing and sponsorship
Really hope he doesn't replace Messi when the time comes tbh. And even he's a tax-cheating cunt.
