3 minute YouTube scouting report
Ryan Sessegnon (18/5/2000), leftback, possible future left winger
Decent pace. Severe case of Raheem syndrome, legs are so thin that he struggles to hit the ball with any degree of power.
Not sure what we'd do with him if we got him. The way Milner's season went, our backup leftback will surely be playing a fair bit if not become first choice within the season, which would mean putting a lot of faith in the boy. But if we sign an experienced leftback and Sessegnon, the latter might barely play at all.
Seems so much easier to judge these things when the player has come through your own system. I've seen enough of TAA that I'm happy for him to be our deputy rightback even if he's been a little naive defensively, but bringing in someone who's barely 17 from another club and asking for the same role seems more hopeful.
You know what, fuck it. Bring him in and put him straight in the first 11. I want a left footed player at leftback. Milner's done an admirable job there, but the energy required for the role and nature of attacking from that position has seen him become less and less effective as the season has gone on. When he puts it on his right it gives the defense the 2 seconds they need to get their men, and when he gets to the byline on his left, the best he can do is float one into an area which is fair enough on his part, but not what we need when our forward line already consists of 2 midgets, a softbody and a player who isn't small but isn't likely to win an aerial battle against the average CB

By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostVAR is awful. It's not. It saved Portugal this morning as the ref went back on his penalty decision against us. The game against Costa Rica didn't matter for Zambia, they were already qualified in first and are probably one of the favorites to win it.
Fuck it.
So... Who are we rooting for this evening? What's the narrative.
It would be sensational if Arsenal could do it, considering their recent injury blows at the back.
The potential banter is immense.

That CL Final thread on GAF.
3 games lost.
in ruins.
What Zidane has done is incredible.
He became coach half way last year when the team was in ruins and nobody expected anything, and then won the 11th CL. And this year he wins the league.
Alegri has also been incredible, managing this Juve to back to back leagues and now a CL final. He had to pick it up after Conte, which is no easy feat.

zidane lost 3 matches the entire season
By Mister0079 Go To Postyeah? rafa benitez lost 3 matches in half a seasonand I still think it wasn't in ruins. It's fine to say that the players didnt warm up to Benitez but it's another to say that your whole team was in ruins after just half a season.

disqualified from the copa del rey, horrible position in the league, lots of complaints towards rafa's tactics and horrible man management.

Real were 3rd and 4 points behind Atlético in 1st when Benítez got the sack.
2 off Barça at 2nd.
I'm in no position to judge here, but "ruins"? Isn't that a smidgen overblown.
