This is the greatest post on this forum. Thank you for humouring me this one time.

By Killer7 Go To PostLooks like they'll go for Mendy too for LBMendy at LB, Kyle Walker at RB. Otamendi might go to Real so then we'd have to replace him.. Bonucci please. I guess there is still the chance we'll get Alex Sandro which would then end up with Mendy at Juve instead.
Fabinho is I guess a DM primarily now but he can still play as a RB. He and Fernandinho can swap from DM to RB as necessary.
Have to think Silva could do better than Watford. Leicester or even Palace seem to have better pieces already in place.
And Sandro and Bonucci? Huh?

By Hitch Go To PostOtamendi isn't good enough for Madrid. Poundshop Ramos. He looks really good when played with Kompany. But most defenders do. Just need to keep Kompany fit...somehow..
By flinbad the flailer Go To PostI suppose that makes Napoli a winning club this decade, too?
We both know that's the we-weren't-totally-shit-this-season award (even if Wedward hasn't figured that out yet).
That is because Napoli won the coppa, Arsenal won the Cup of Magic ;p
By Wengward Go To PostHe also finished 4th.He finished 5th the FA Cup season tho.
Good manager.
#notgoodenoughforArsenal
By batong Go To PostSeeing some Keita Balde rumours. He doesn't seem very gegen.
I thought you were in for the Keita in Germany.
City fattening up makes sense. The winter schedule is brutal, and after an embarassing season Pep will be adamant to win EVERYTHING.
More interested who they have lined up as their goalkeeper though. Any good sweeper keepers around?

By flinbad the flailer Go To PostBring me a defence.
I don't know whom I want. Just don't let them all be shit.
Moreno and Klavan, two for the price of none
By Plasma Go To PostNo defenders and Ospina in goal, this will end well.
Holding will win it for us.
By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostI thought you were in for the Keita in Germany.Double swoop.
By Hitch Go To PostwutRumours about Arsenal asking for 60M (lol) and offering Sanchez a huge salary bump to stay. We won't compete with that given the 1 year left of his contract and his age. Bayern won't spend more than €30-40M for Sanchez.
1- Lewandowski is still great by all accounts
2- Sanchez is available near enough every match
3- Ribery/Robben will surely need phasing out of the team soon, and Costa doesn't look like being the player to do that anymore

Naby, Balde, Seydou

By FlutterPuffs Go To PostHis headbutt in the 2014 WC vs Croatia was amazing.
However, a transfer fee of £50m could tempt them into reconsidering and would shatter Liverpool’s current record spend of £35m for Andy Carroll in January 2011.
The Reds are prepared to surpass that figure multiple times in the summer to enhance the quality and competition in the squad.
Liverpool's transfers are so bizarre sometimes to me. Looking at summer 2014 they bought 8 players for a total of 117m... similar to how Spurs bought so many mediocre players with the Bale transfer. Football isn't like baseball where you can make up a player's contributions simply by quantity. The same thing happened the summer after where they bought 6 players of middling quality when it would have made much more sense to just buy 3 players of great quality. Last summer was good though, Gini and Mane took up like 90% of their spending and IMO they were better for it.

It's not really that weird. They did that because no players of that quality wanted to join them, and they had to hope one of them eventually developed into the quality of players Suarez or Bale.
Dybala is training his right foot by writing with it. "“I take a pen every day and I try to write, but with my right foot, I put it between my big toe and the little one."I..
um.
fuck if it works United needs to do the same with Valencia.
By FlutterPuffs Go To PostDon't we all.
Balotelli
Lambert
Moreno
Markovic
Shocking
At least Lallana, Lovren and Can have somewhat come good. When Suarez left we definitely needed a bigger squad, but we spent it on the wrong players. £20m was still a decent amount of transfer money even 3 years ago.

Players like Costa, Salah, and so forth were constantly linked with them. Liverpool may not have the same kind of pull as United, City, Chelsea, but they're still a top 4-6 club in the richest football league on earth with massive financial banking (despite the Red Sox being evil incarnate).

In all fairness you had an absolute joke list of teams to face to get there. Just like us in 14-15.

Liverpool may not have the same kind of pull as United, City, Chelsea, but they're still a top 4-6 club in the richest football league on earth. It was clearly a one-off of a season though given how poor our league finishes had been before it, plus our star player in Suarez had left. We weren't a sure bet to carry on fighting for titles in the slightest.
By Perfect Blue Go To PostOrigi was bought that summer too.Origi is in a middle category for me. Hasn't come good yet, but he doesn't deserve to be in the list with those flops either.

By Perfect Blue Go To PostThat's a good point. Similar to Kante leaving Leicester for a club not in CL.In hindsight I'd obviously rather have spent whatever it would have taken to get as close as possible to replacing Suarez, and to have not bothered with the likes of Markovic and Balotelli.
At the time I thought it was the right idea, even though I wasn't particularly impressed with the players we were bringing in. Didn't help that Sturridge had what must have been the worst season of his career for fitness.
Evra is true love.
I'm gonna retroactively put his name on one of my United blanks. Probably from 2010 since I got 2
