By Baconsaurus Go To PostHouse of Cards is pulp. Delicious delicious pulp.If Game of Thrones was "what if history had dragons and shit?", House of Cards was somewhat hilariously "what if Game of Thrones was real and relatable?"
And despite that, the premise wasn't entirely terrible. The execution, however, is. They've done it more clumsily than a primary school production of Macbeth.
You know what similarly-themed show would be the greatest ever? Stalin's Story, with Matthew Weiner as showrunner and Soderbergh directing.

No, because he's a attacking midfielder. Even Pep is not that crazy.

Thanks for the read, I remember back in the day thinking how amazing it was winning the double back in 98.
Crazy how Allegri has won the double three years in a row and I forget when the last time Juve did it with all their previous great sides. I think a few decades had gone by since Juve had previously won the double.
£43m sounds like a bargain these days
Meanwhile Spurs spent about a fiver on Dele Alli and Harry Kane combined. Cunts.

Ah. Tim Sherwood's nemesis.
We got Dembele, Son, Alli, Eriksen and Wanyama for about £60m combined. The world has gone mad, we should take City to the cleaners over Walker.
I was expecting Silva to be better in the goal and assist department for that kind of money, though though 17 over a season is still really good for any AM or winger.
Also apparently Bosszilla is a young Brazilian who plays for Monaco.

By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostThanks for the read, I remember back in the day thinking how amazing it was winning the double back in 98.Winning the double in the Abyss isn't even an accomplishment any more. It hasn't been for years. And if Conte wasn't incompetent in knockouts, Juve would probably have 6 consecutive doubles.

Juventini will inevitably continue to attribute their success to internal causes, but the reality is that everyone else who once challenged them has collapsed.

I'm really at a loss as to what strikers we could possibly bring in, with them most likely hitting the ground running. From the highlight I watched of Timo Werner, I'm not even sure he's an out and out striker. And all of his goals looked like they came from teams giving Liepzig a ridiculous amount of space to attack, or headers from set pieces.
If City are willing to spend that much on their attack, I can only imagine what they will spend on their defence. They need two FBs, one CB and two GKs as the bare minimum.
I don't know if this is fake news but apparently Redknapp wants to bring Assou-Ekotto to Birmingham, although the player has other irons in the fire:
Please be true.

“The only trouble is that he’s admitted he wants to be a pornstar.
“Maybe I can get another year out of him before he decides to do that.
“What a good player. He could well end up in the Birmingham colours next year, Benoit.”
Please be true.

Yes, the Milano clubs have collapsed, but if Napoli and especially Roma were better run, then I think both could have challenged better. Not saying they would have wn, but they would have made it a lot tougher.

By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostYes, the Milano clubs have collapsed, but if Napoli and especially Roma were better run, then I think both could have challenged better. Not saying they would have wn, but they would have made it a lot tougher.Napoli was returning from utter financial ruin in the midst of everyone else's successes last decade. It's fairly absurd to expect a team under those conditions to challenge a club that'd been relatively consistently successful for decades (and this is not ignoring the fact that we finished above Juve twice before the scudetti run, because we both know that had more to do with Juve's uncharacteristic foibles and failures than Napoli's successes).
That we won the coppa twice during Juve's run is quite an accomplishment in and of itself.
To your argument's credit, though, appointing Rafa was a colossal mistake. It set our project back several years.
