By Perfect Blue Go To PostAs a Spurs fan, you don't know what it feels like to actually a win a trophy so I understand why you'd feel this way.
I thought on posting something like this but i'm too good of a lad to do this kind of savagery on my boi Bungie the finsbury park legend
Since Totti joined Roma in 1989
Gonna add one myself. In the year Totti joined, Chelsea have been promoted, won every possible trophy in England, and won every possible UEFA trophy.
Wait why am I posting this? It started out as a dig to Chelsea being shit and spiralled out of control.
Five men have been President of the United States: George H.W Bush, Bill Clinton, George W Bush, Barack Obama and Donald Trump.
Palermo have had 55 Coaches, including Francesco Guidolin on four occasions and Gian Piero Gasperini twice.
Nelson Mandela was released from prison, became President of South Africa, was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize and died.
There have been seven World Cups, with Totti helping Italy to lift the trophy in 2006. The other winners are West Germany, Brazil, France, Brazil, Spain and Germany.
Totti made his Roma debut on March 28, 1993. The previous day, Jiang Zemin was appointed as President of the People’s Republic of China. There have been a further two Presidents since then, Hu Jintao and Xi Jinping.
When Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma was born, Totti was in the midst of his sixth Serie A season. He scored 12 goals in 1998-99.
Er Pupone is the King of Rome, and he’s seen three popes in the Vatican since joining the Lupi in 1989 - John Paul II, Benedict XVI and Francis.
Since Totti joined the Roma youth system in 1989, the pop singer Taylor Swift was born, grew up and released an album called 1989 - her fifth.
Almost one-third - 32 per cent - of this season’s Serie A players weren’t even born when Totti made his Roma debut.
Napoli won Serie A in 1989-90, when Totti was in the Roma youth team. Since then the Partenopei have gone bankrupt, been demoted to Serie C, returned to Serie A and played in the Champions League.
There have been seven Italian general elections, with 15 Prime Ministers. Silvio Berlusconi has been Prime Minister on three non-consecutive occasions since Totti’s debut.
Totti is known for his friendship with tennis legend Roger Federer - Totti won the Scudetto two years before his friend's first Grand Slam triumph.
The Stone Roses' first, self-titled album was released in the year Totti joined Roma. Since then they've released a second album, broken up and reunited.
The first 'Jurassic Park' film was released three months after Totti's debut. The fifth film in the franchise is currently in development.
According to the timeline of James Cameron's 'Terminator' movies, Francesco Totti has played through the apocalypse twice - Skynet was said to become sentient in both 1997 and 2003.
There have been six Prime Ministers of the United Kingdom since Francesco Totti joined Roma - Margaret Thatcher, John Major, Tony Blair, Gordon Brown, David Cameron and Theresa May.
Gonna add one myself. In the year Totti joined, Chelsea have been promoted, won every possible trophy in England, and won every possible UEFA trophy.

Honestly though, want great football and trophies, but if football is about the moment, then I've had a lot of great moments this season.
I also love when people complain about how shit was won. The true indication of a loser.

By Bungie Go To PostIs it? I was arguing about this today at work. Is the destination more important the journey? This doesn't just apply to United, but United fans would have had to watch a lot of shit football this season. Was it worth it? I can't really answer that myself, but I do feel like I wouldn't trade decent football for some silverware, especially considering how much of my life I dedicate to this.
I get what you mean here to a degree, but last night (and the FA and League Cups before it) reminded me how fucking nice it is to actually win a trophy. It's genuine euphoria that would in no way be replicated by a season of playing good football and finishing in 2nd. I'd love for our team to be playing Tottenham's footy and be winning these things as well but I certainly wouldn't trade our seasons in isolation.
Leeds's resurgence was nice while it lasted. At least they've now gotten rid of MC.
I wonder where Monk will end up, because he's presumably lined up a new job, probably in the EPL.

Maybe Sunderland?
By Pele.gif Go To PostTotti only won 3 titles with Roma on 25 years?
Incredible.
Say what you want about the man's trophy haul, but Roma wouldn't have finished 2nd on 8 occasions without the man.
And if football is all about the moments, then this guy has produced more than anyone.
I wish I could find good gifs :(((
By Pele.gif Go To PostMaybe Sunderland?Perhaps, but trading Leeds for them? It makes very little sense to me. They're in a right state at the moment.

to actually answer seriously, it was absolutely worth it. i've been frustrated, annoyed and pissed at times this season. but never bored. there was never a point like the end of LVG where it didn't matter to me if i saw the game or not.
watching the celebrations last night with a big ass grin on my face, after having to sit through the media (unfairly imo) dragging the club and Mourinho all season, really does feel a lot better than just looking at the table and being happy about a spot. i'll take that feeling anyway i can get it.
Heres the thing I genuinely wonder if Mourinho sees, who are the people who step up to the pressure in the team? Never shirk, always try, among those are Rashford, Pogba, Lingard, Axel, Fosu, players brought through the youth system, not phased, always on point. During the last match in the PL none of the youth hid, they came to play in what might be for many their only senior game. I hope he realises this, its a huge asset to us and always has been to develop youth who can cope at the highest level.
Just heard a warning on the radio, that a kangaroo has escaped a local zoo. Location unknown. I'm going hunting, bois.

I was surprised that it was such a low number.
I expected more from the best player of all time.
Maradona won 2 leagues, 1 UEFA Cup and one cup with Napoli in 7 years. I dont know much about this Napoli team or the italian league at the time, but wasnt Maradona carrying them all the way?
Well i know they had Careca, that was one of our top strikers at the time.
By Francis Go To PostPerhaps, but trading Leeds for them? It makes very little sense to me. They're in a right state at the moment.
Yeah that makes no sense. I could see Boro being a lot more likely.
But if Sunderland are wise, they'll go all-out to get him

They had a quality team without him, not gonna have won what they did without him, but they still would have been competing. Also, the Serie A of the 90s were as a lot better quality than the Maradona years, except that Milan team.
Roma have produced some pure dogshit teams. Imagine playing with Taddei and Mancini as the guys servicing you. In 25 years, how many top Roma players can anyone name? Batigol, Cafu, Candela, Aldair, and Samuel. And they all were there in the one year Totti won the scudetto. Roma are not a historically successful club. Totti has kept them relevant for three decades lol

That's only in the cartoons.
By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostTotti confirms it will be his last game for Roma.An ITK close to Totti was saying he could go to Arabia, join Maradona's team.
I wonder f the rumour of another Serie A club is true.
Make it happen Juve.

I am in two minds. Does going off to another club in a different club tarnish his one club legacy?
He is just a guy who loves playing football and wants to keep playing.

Also helped that Mitchell and Tuanzebe had been very solid in the few games they had been in.
Tuanzebe even did well as a holding midfielder. Really liking that kid.

Pinch of salt there lad

How terribly unsporting of United to not allow Ajax the space to play their total football circa 2010.
How terribly unsporting of United to not allow Ajax the space to play their total football circa 2010.
Rooney leaving:
The 31-year-old said he has made a decision on his future, that he ‘knows’ what he will do - but intimated that he still has to make up his mind on his actual destination with his family over the next two weeks, following United's 2-0 Europa League final win over Ajax.
Old Trafford sources say it is virtually inevitable he will leave, and there remains a strong belief Everton is his preferred football destination, but Rooney said he will weigh up a number of factors with his family.
The United captain confirmed he had "lots of offers on the table" from England and abroad. Rooney turned down a move to the Chinese Super League in February, and it is understood that is because he feels he has more to give at the top level, as he also seeks to weigh up what is the best decision for his family. He meanwhile confirmed that the only Premier League clubs he would ever play for are United or Everton.
By Slizz Go To PostEverton would be a bad move for Rooney, so would China. Just come to MLS
Those portions lol.
Genuinely wouldnt be half as invested in a Griezman saga as I would Pogba, could give less of a shit frankly, more interested in who else we are actually after and if we can get them in quick.
By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostThose portions lol.I mean if he went to China he could probably afford to order food directly from the US to him and not see a dent in his account.
