Still won more silverware than Tottenham, Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal.

Now that's my kind of reasoned and intelligent discussion. Delicious.

You are United. You are the bigget clib in the land. You shouldn't have to feel satisfied that you have won more than those lower than you.
You won't see me posting stuff like, despite Arsenal being shit, we have still won more than Spurs the last five years, and are one game away from ending the season with a trophy, unlike the greatest Spurs side since they invented colour TV.
You just won't see me posting that because it is beneath Arsenal. We shouldn't concern ourselves with what Spurs have done.

I REALLY want United to win the EPL again, but some have a point when they say that 2nd place or 3rd place wont be remembered much other than the winner.
I remember how incredible Liverpool were in their last season with Suarez, but not winning anything means that the team is only a footnote in their history, despite probably being the most lethal group of players in the EPL in the last 5 years.
Of course, this United could turn out the same way next season, and something I've been pondering on in the last 3 or 4 months.
By Phlebas Go To PostHow much do you expect to spend?
What happened with Dahoud , still in for him?
125m GBP or so if we can get everyone we want.
Dahoud is off to Dortmund, I think he's already signed a contract there?
Uh, morning lads. 3 am here but I cant sleep so lets do something constructive like watching highlight videos I guess.

I am so jealous
Congrats United fans.
Think we left Europe with our heads up high. Too bad we weren't good enough to break trough the defense. Especially after that early goal it was gonna be incredibly hard. After the second goal everyone knew it was done. Hopefully this squad can stay together for a bit longer so we can try and reach the CL trough the qualifiers and have a good season.

Ten years ago, Arsenal fans would say it doesn't matter if we didn't win the league because we played the best football in the country. I said right then and there it did. Nobody remembers how good we played. All everyone remembers is ten years of failure.
Winning is the most important thing. People only remember the teams that play pretty football when they win something, otherwise it is pointless.
Nobody will remember that Liverpool side in ten years, same with Spurs.
As much as I dislike Wenger, he still has us on course for a third FA Cup in four years, which is a fantastic achievement.

Dortmund buys De Liegt and loans him to your club for 2-3 years.

God I was so impressed with De Ligt last night. Was totally calm and composed even after a goal down. Some great tackles and bodyshots too.

It's how I feel about Rooney too. I get absolutely annoyed when he plays, but a few years from now I'll look at his glory years in United as one of the best players ever to play for it.
Yup, De Ligt and Sanchez were mostly excellent, especially considering their age. Think this is the most impressive young Ajax team I've seen in a while.

Not gonna get into it, but George Graham is the man responsible for modern Arsenal along with David Dean. If there was no GG Arsenal would have continued its fall into irrelevancy. Wenger's Arsenal legacy is thanks to the work of GG.
It's crazy that we have to worry about losing De Ligt and Sanchez. De Ligt started this season in a youth squad. Then got promoted to our reserves and then got bumped up to the first team almost right after. Only 17 years old. Sanchez only came to us this past summer and is still very young as well. These two should be the heart of our defense for the next three years but that's never going to happen.
We'll also have to fear to lose Dolberg, who also only has one season in our first team. The only player it would make sense for to make a move would be Klaassen. He's been with us long enough and he can make the step up to a bigger league. Sub top probably. But other than him none of these players should leave already.

He still needs to grow and there's barely a better place than Ajax for him.Sanchez was also pretty good, but his passing still needs to become alot better.
Both are still miles better than fucking Westermann, still can't believe that you got him.
United folks, Varela isn't the smartest guy around isn't he ?
Merely days before the cup finale he decides to get a tattoo and will most likely be thrown out of the team for that.
Oh Westermann was transfer free and costs us next to nothing. We take those kind of gambles every now and then. Schöne came in a similar situation for example and he worked out fine.
And no, I don't care about loanee constructions. I just want Ajax players to be Ajax players. That's also the most worthy way for us. If we can develop him longer he'll only cost more on the market if it comes to a transfer in a few seasons.

I just meant it's the best possible scenario for him to grow, if he stays at Ajax one way or another.
Would be a shame if a talent like that, is sitting on some bench or plays at a shit club that doesn't help him to grow.

Whoever takes the Porto job might have a tough time ahead of them.
They reportedly need to do around 100M€ in sales to comply with UEFA's financial fair play.
After 3 years of going all in with big transfers and without winning a single title, this year they will be forced to tighten the belt.

It was pretty embarrassing that Mourinho was doing that whole three finger thing and calling it a great season.

Do you think we would've gotten at least closer to fourth if we had Rojo and Ibra fit? I do. I know injuries are somewhat a bad excuse but given how key those players were I think 6th became almost an inevitability.
Hey ho, expecting better next season.
By Vivalapizza Go To PostIt was pretty embarrassing that Mourinho was doing that whole three finger thing and calling it a great season.Winning the Europa League is better than finishing 4th as it qualifies you directly to the Group Stage while the 4th place has to play the playoff right after the start of the Premier League and risks missing out on the Group Stage.

Displaying all the players in crutches was such a Mou move lol
