By Scum Go To PostMeier, pls. I still believe that Moyes would have made matters worse for Sunderland in the Championship.Honestly, you're probably right -- but I just think from the perspective of appreciating what Rafa did, that it feels like a very cowardly act especially given the time proximity.

Not sure if he's angling for a move but theres better players, maybe not in skill but by just not being a cunt out there.
By Cleff Go To PostIs Bernardo Silva so good that we're willing to throw huge amounts at Monaco?Yes.

I mean just the other day
Juventus general manager Giuseppe Marotta confirms they try to look at the personality of a player before signing him.
The Bianconeri are holding an open day for members this afternoon, and the transfer chief took questions from fans.
“It’s normal that when we decide to buy a player, we look at two fundamental parameters,” Marotta noted.
“We look at the cost, the value of the player, but we also look at it from a personal point of view.
“It’s difficult to get into the psychology of a subject, in a normal company there are interview and entrance exams.
“Football moves so quickly that that it’s not possible to do that, you only have to be an hour or two late to lose a player.
“A clear example would be [Paulo] Dybala, there were top Italian and foreign clubs on the Argentine, so we had to accelerate and close the deal, in agreement with President [Andrea] Agnelli.
“Fortunately it was a good market operation.”
Well I guess I better add whats his face into our 2018 XI

I get it
Just seen that Martial is 10 days older than Josh Harrop, should that provide some context to the criticism he's received this season.
I suppose the main thing to consider her is the perception effect when you pay so much for potential. People just kinda forget that what's being bought is long-term potential.

Highly dependent on whether Atletico dodge their transfer ban. They're not selling anyone if they don't

Well yeah there is that too, and let's face it we're all guilty of it.
By Fergie Go To PostSo considering the Griezmann news.
A lot of stuff is heavily reliant on Wednesday.
You ain't fucking kidding. I'm shitting it and there's still 2 days to go.
By Cleff Go To PostIs Bernardo Silva so good that we're willing to throw huge amounts at Monaco? He's earned comparisons to David Silva.
And from what I've seen of him, he's incredibly talented.

If he feels obliged to stay an extra season because of the ban that's entirely up to him.

By domino Go To Postoh wow Griezmann himself said 6. i love it but why would you even answer that lolBecause he is a wanker.
To the United Bros getting shook about Wednesday, relax. Enjoy the glorious weather, what wil be will be.
By Cleff Go To PostIs Bernardo Silva so good that we're willing to throw huge amounts at Monaco?Dude is really, really good. Looks like an heir apparent to David Silva if you ask me -- I was blown away when watching him play us. Would be a great buy by any team especially because he's quite young. 22 or something at most, if I recall.

Cards on the table, i genuinely dont see us winning wednesday, if only because I have become used to failure now
By Hitch Go To PostEugh, another Hazardish WUMathon incoming
They're a good laugh when you're in the running tho.
From the MLS thread on GAF. Behind the goal view of a FK.. Tim Howard was absolutely raging at his wall, lol.
By Ciaran Go To Postcan we talk about the state of Griezmann's hairIt's very bad as is his facial hair. Which is a shame because he's actually a very handsome man when he tries.
the side I was most looking forward to facing in Europe again was United and for one reason or another we never met. It's like when one of us is FINALLY good again the other dies in his place, something oddly romantic about that.
so you guys better batter the shit outta Ajax so we can finally finally meet in the Supercup
now after careful consideration, I'm pretty damn sure one of us will win and the other will flop
and well
of course

Not sure how so many people are still not aware of the quality in Monaco's team. If you can find the time please go and watch some of their league games at http://www.fullmatchesandshows.com/?s=monaco
Mbappe, Bernardo, Lemar, Bakayoko, Fabinho, Moutinho, Mendy and Sidibe are all really good players.
Their defenders are a little harder to gauge because of the quality of their opposition, but going forward from the middle, wide or fullbacks they did it all this year at different times.

I'm feeling cautiously optimistic about Wednesday night. Ajax are a good side, no doubt about that, but they've already reached CL qualification via the Eredivisie and essentially only have a trophy to play for while United have much more riding on it - considering it's this or nothing for them.
I do think the game will reflect that. Though I guess you could argue the latter part is also a hindrance (mentally) rather than something positive.
Very nervous still... but I want to believe in my team.

I think you're under estimating how big of a scalp United still are if you don't think Ajax are going to be running themselves ragged for every ball.
