On one occasion, a team-mate of mine wanted a move. He picked a day when we had a day off, then tipped off a local journalist that he'd been made to train away from the first-team squad, with the kids. They made sure there was a photographer there in the bushes. He wasn't even supposed to be in training at all but he came in specially, just for the photos! That story alerted a couple of people and a few days later he was beaming in the changing room, saying: "It worked: [top Premier League side] have been in for me."
Middlesbrough beating us with Giggs taking the managerial role the following week will be a hard thing to swallow
Shanks have you considered full-timing Juve
Just outta concern for your mental being and hairline
That first goal last night....Alves making an early jihadist run and Alex Sandro Del Piero delivering an obscenely early cross that would make even Totti proud
Can't buy that kinda chemistry

I wish I didn't give a fuck about my job.
Yesterday at lunch I had my finger on the purchase a CL final ticket. expensive as shit, but I could have made it to Cardiff in time.
Such a pain that Korea has a national holiday on the Tuesday, if it was on the Monday I would have gone. Heck, I am sure if I had asked my boss she would have given me the day off, but I just didn't want to fuck everyone else over.
Juve have been the primary team I have followed this season.
Wenger has killed my joy for Arsenal. When you hear him come out and say it doesn't matter about all the empty seats because they sold out then you know the club is beyond repair. I will never feel about Juve the same way as I have about Arsenal, I grew up next to stadium and breathed Arsenal every day from my earliest moments, but Juve is the only footballing joy I get.
I am not very articulate, but I do like to talk about things with a passion. Today I explained to a bemused 12 year old Korean boy who said he was excited about the weekend, why I was overjoyed for the weekened getting to see Mandingo, the new Berardi, and Romagna.
I really don't know if the damage that Wenger has done can be repaired, especially being thousands of mile from home. I consume Juve on a daily basis, Arsenal is an afterthought most of the time.
Shame about Chris Cornell, that was very unexpected. Now I'm stuck listening to grunge for the rest of the day probably.

Did he really say this.
And I feel your pain shanks, love the passion mate, never let it go.

Shanks... I kinda agree.
With Juventus it's managed with the thought the club comes before everyone else. I've always loved that about it.
With Arsenal it's Wenger first, the club second.

"No it's Tuesday night against Sunderland, everybody expects us to win. I didn't count the number of people who were in the seats. We are sold out," he said.
Arsenal count their attendance by tickets sold rather than how many actually come through the gates, meaning the official number for Tuesday's game was 59,510. The actual attendance was probably closer to 40,000.
That's shite news about Chris Cornell. Soundgarden were my second favourite band in the 90's. I was going to link to a couple of underappreciated gems but most of these YouTube links have been taken down.

The Agent: I think part of the fascination with the transfer rumour mill is this: in football, you have so few chances to actually win anything. So seeing your club pursue and eventually complete a massive transfer is as near as some supporters will come to actually winning something.

It's zero with Lichtsteiner.

Fucking Viagogo I tell you
By GQman2121 Go To Post- Shoot bugsWhat killed my interest was that the game has about 30 mins worth of actual story cutscenes with all the expansions included :lol
- Ride bike to new location
- Shoot more bugs collect junk
- Shoot bigger bugs collect more junk
- Ride bike again
- Shoot moon wizard
- Return to base to trade junk or upgrade weapons/armour
Repeat above for hundreds of hours.
That was my PvE experience with the Destiny betas and I thought it was shit. But people seem to like this formula for some reason. The gear and customizing your character appealed to me but the gameplay was incredibly shallow.
The PvP mode wasn't bad though.
It's weird and hilarious. Development hell.

teach me Italian not sure if you bothered with Master of None
I know I said it last season, but legit going to follow napoli this season for enjoyment, following juve would just seem like bandwagoning
And Andy Carroll and Carlos Tevez: there was once a potential swap there. Kenny Dalglish denied it, and I'm not saying he knew about it, but it was being talked about between the clubs and I believe the players knew about it.Wat
Can you imagine if that had gone through

One of the most consistently fun sides to watch since their return to Serie A, with a mythical crowd, city and an eccentric owner to boot.
Come back, Skeletor.
By Lupercal Go To PostCome over to Chelsea Shanks baby, we'll treat you right.
I think it is obvious that if I was picking a team in England Chelsea would be the one. All those Italians. Bald Hero. Casaraghi, RDM, Zola.
Italians have made Chelsea the powerhouse that they are :)))

I am ok with the practice, but there is a big difference between the usuall couple of thousand who might no turn up for your average midweek CL opponent or Mickey Mouse cup game, and with an absolute must win league game.
For Wenger to not give two flying fucks is an absolute disgrace. There is basically nothing the fanbase can do
By Kidjr Go To PostI know I said it last season, but legit going to follow napoli this season for enjoyment, following juve would just seem like bandwagoning
Napoli played some of the best football I have ever seen this season. They don't play it often, but when they did it was amazing.
that lower rates can mean higher yields — has been proven time and time again. Look at the few cuts that George Osborne did make: corporation tax rate was lowered, but corporation tax receipts are at an all-time high. When the top rate of tax was cut from 50 per cent to 45 per cent, the richest paid more than ever. Today, the highest-paid 1 per cent pay 27 per cent of all income tax collected, a statistic that should warm the heart of the most ardent class warrior. The lowest-paid 50 per cent of earners contribute less than 10 per cent to the total.
What does labourslaent think about the above quote?
I feel people are emotionally driven by seeing/hearing people with "excess" so this fact would/could never resonate as being an acceptable policy

By FlutterPuffs Go To PostMessi always had bad fashion sense. He strikes me as a "wife decides what I wear" kind of man, so it's really more an indictment of her I imagine.
By Laboured Go To PostRadja's great but he's 29 already.

By FlutterPuffs Go To PostMessi always had bad fashion sense. He needed to make up for his football genius in some way.
Let's just be thankful that his shit dressing isn't proportional to his football skill.
By Laboured Go To PostRadja's great but he's 29 already. As long as that fact is reflected in the price there's no real reason to mind. If United pay 20-25 year old player prices for a 29 year old player then it's a reasonable complaint.

Radja is the best CM in the game
Smalling is already the best CB in the game
Martial is already the best striker in the game
Dea Gea the best keeper
All that matters
wait so the James stories were basically Sky rigging the betting market so they could make some money
