If the original developer and script are written in Japanese I will always play the game in Japanese, subtitles or no. Western actors trying to act as personalities created by a Japanese writer always sound awkward and amateurish. That isn't to say that Japanese voice actors are necessarily better, but they can self-direct when the script aligns with their cultural norms.
That said, Japanese voice actors are kind of better. It's a desirable career over here that often translates to fame and adoration

“Muntari has abandoned the pitch because of racist chants but we should not take justice into our own hands,” he said. “We have been talking about racism for years now but nothing happens. Today, this has happened to Muntari who has been playing in Italy for several years now. We need a change of mentality.”
Nothing changes, but still it's wrong to "take justice into your own hands?" It's not even justice, it's protest. I'm not sure why he even has an opinion on the the matter, Muntari isn't his player.

I didn't know you can use "retrospective" in that sense (I would say retroactive) but looks like you guys are perfectly correct!

Watching Can's goal again, that is ridiculous
Thought on the first few viewings that he was set much earlier than he actually is, and was more of a scissor kick. Really though he's gone past the flight of the ball, is still running when he starts the motion and its a pure overhead/scissor combo with the way he's angled relative to the path the ball goes
Carroll's had incredible power and was obviously bloody brilliant, but think Can's has the edge on the difficulty of execution. Giroud's is still goal of the season though, its a scorpion kick in off the bar after all. Shame he spoiled it a bit with the Bournemouth celebration, but you can't have everything ¬¬

Muntari is his player.
I am 100% behind Muntari for walking away. Read about it this morning. Fuck the ref. Completely dismissed what Muntari was saying.

Real question marks for Arsene I reckon. Probably felt like the move to 3 at the back worked, but without a tactical plan to back it up its literally an empty formation change.

I haven't watched any of our games since the switch, just had better things to do. However, I can imagine Wenger didn't instruct anyone of the roles that they will play. I absolutely love a back three, but it requires players who can play with discipline. Players need to know what is expected of them.
Just gotta look at Conte's back three v Mazzari's in Serie A. Conte drills his players to a T, while Mazzarri gave his players way too much freedom and they would be scintalating in attack, but would look like they would conceede every single time a team attacked.

Seems to sort of swap one problem for another.
I wonder if its kind of an acceptance that the players wouldn't improve between when he switched to it, and the end of the season
To me it basically looks like slightly improved solidity entirely based on having more numbers at the back, while the standard of individual performance has remained poor. Its obliterated their attacking play, but that was also looking a bit ropey before the switch iirc
I'd like them to win the final, but fear that Chelsea will know exactly how to dismantle them

It's a fucking shame that this still happens in european stadiums.

I really fear for this final. I think we could get slaughtered. One of those biggest ever defeat type things.

Yeah, Refs need to have more balls. Completely unacceptable.
In regards to this 3-4-3 formation, I don't think the players we have fit that system. You can't just change it overnight, it needs to be worked on in training over and over again so the players know when to defend and when to attack correctly. Will Wenger change his training in order to bring in a defensive coach? I don't think so.
The MotD breakdown for Arsenal was really telling. Chamberlain in the box while Gabriel rushes out to cover and defend is just wrong. Arsenal looked out of sync during the game and when slowed down and further analyzed they didn't seem to have a plan.
Poch goes back to the 4-2-3-1 and Spurs dominated for long stretches.

I'm pretty sure Arsenal bought in Steve Bould a few seasons ago.
By Scum Go To PostJapanese audio w/ English subtitles for me then, as always.
The English voice acting in BoTW is awful.
By Phlebas Go To Post.Yes but does Wenger delegate? I really think he oversees all aspects of training. Look at how Fergie did it, he realised he didn't have to do this as he got older and gave all his training responsibilities to other experienced coaches.
Mid season tactical changes are never going to produce that big of an effect without new players. Perhaps the switch to a back 3 really is better for Arsenal, but in the end its not going to be enough to overcome the fact that they have the 6th best squad. That's kind of why the 'new manager bounce' is largely just an illusion, since its difficult to managers to have any real effect just on the training ground and with tactics.
I personally feel its a trend thing rather than actually being whats best for arsenal (playing with a back three), with proper players I really think 4231 is probably the best system for us
It's hard to say that the new manager bounce is an illusion, since there's some who have made a career out of bailing teams from being relegated.

Allardyce was able to keep Sunderland and Palace up in consecutive seasons, but in both cases a lot of the turnaround came from now signings in January. Not to mention that I don't think keeping the current Palace squad up is any kind of achievement as it seems far superior to those around them.
I can't think of anyone who has consistently gone to relegation teams and kept them up
