By LabouredSubterfuge Go To Post Just tried Papa Gazza, seems easier than CB. Couldn't quite finish him tho.
Still my favourite boss fight of the 8 I've done.
By reilo Go To Post Do you need to beat CB to advance or are there other bosses/areas to get to?
no he's optional.
yup, on the bridge on the other side from the CB you can go in to the sewers, go from there if you want to skip CB.
fair warning, the first non optional boss is quite a bit harder. but now that you met CB you can go and level in the hunter's dream.
Yea I already unlocked leveling but thought CB was the first boss, which is frustrating. The game doesn't really offer any objectives to help push the story forward.
I've been to the sewers and felt like I cleared the entire damn thing but I guessed I missed another path somewhere.

you need to go down as far as you can and then you'll find a huge ladder up. there will be a big swine in a tunnel.
By nate Go To PostI was having a lot of trouble with him, killed me five times in a row. Now I just killed him. Play it patient until he's got a little under half health left - just keep dodging and hit him once or twice when you can. Then focus on parrying and getting visceral attacks.
Wanted those fucking double blades but shit costs 40k. Is there anywhere I can farm blood echoes? I did buy that hot crow cloak, but think I might like the black Yahar'Gul stuff more.
You can easily get 40k in the Unseen Village
By Yurt Go To PostYou can easily get 40k in the Unseen Village
Btw there's a CRUCIAL item there that unlocks a massive optional area with two bosses in it, it's on a corpse locked in a cell guarded by two giants and a Footballfan. But it's not possible to open it, so with a little bit of exploration you can somehow get inside ;)
I got to the Unseen Village lamp; continue in there for now? What should I be looking out for?
By nate Go To PostI got to the Unseen Village lamp; continue in there for now? What should I be looking out for?
you have two areas now, you either continue on there or remember the stone you took from one of the villagers? And remember the very first Amygdala you met? The one in your PSN picture, go stand under him/the entrance…and hold on to your gluteus maximus
By Hitch Go To Post How much stuff is hidden behind interacting with NPCs in a specific order?
Don't worry, this stuff isn't close as harsh as Demon's and DS when it comes to missing them
No optional area or boss whatsoever is dependent on interacting with an NPC thankfully, only items. Some items that unlock optional areas and/or bosses are quite hard to find though! But you can go back and get them at any point in the story, even before the final fight. Nothing you do will make them inaccessible.
there's no specific order of doing anything, but some NPCs will disappear after certain events. The game is kinda Majoras Mask in that regard, and NPCs change location depending on the time of the day (which changes after you progress in the story and not in real time)
Off the top of my head, there are only two NPC quests, and both of them are short but worth pursuing. One of them can be done at any point in the story while the other one can be easily missed after a certain point. You can still finish it, but...anticlimactically
Be on the lookout for this Crow
The sense of exploration and wonder is a huge part of why I love this game. It's so unlike most others with their giant arrow pointing 'go this way'

regarding the item, I'll show you where you can get it when I get home, it's a bit hard to reach.
In the unseen village now. Got the blades, they're baller.

trying to piece up the story with the community is one of my favourite parts too
example for Nathan
remember those creepy bugs in Byrgenwerth? They weren't just your run of the mill creepy bugs, if you look closely enough you'll notice that they were wearing (ripped up) Choir clothes, so they're obviously former students of Byrgenwerth who turned into these abominations. Slowly but surely the story will start to make more sense if you start noticing these little things
Rom dropping a Kin Coldblood was also curious to say the least

Guessing you mean the Upper Cathedral Ward Key?
By nate Go To PostI got to the Unseen Village lamp; continue in there for now? What should I be looking out for?
Get yourself to the second lamp in that area. Once you do, turn back and go to the area with the hags and the laser shots coming from above you just came from, there's a gap in the fence on the left. Drop down (don't drop down again though), go in the door and drop into the cell below. There's a key there.

Yes! That's the one!
look at the walls before that boss fight, you'll notice some flipped carriages with broken cells and petrified people all over the place and on the walls, clearly trying to escape from something. And once you meet the boss you'll see what the hell kinda ritual these cunts were doing to the kidnapped people (you were once kidnapped once too if you remember)
Christ Nathan is on a roll loooooooooool
that key unlocks the door on the top of the Healing Church Cathedral
By Freewheelin Go To PostAmelia is such a bitch ;_;
I'm way behind Nate looool ;_;
She's a beast, so remember to use fire paper. Otherwise, just about timind dodges to get beside her.
By Freewheelin Go To Post I dont have any firepaper and cant seem to get any in the Hunter's Dream :(
Need insight broseph

How much do they cost, I have 8 atm
By Lego Go To Post Do you have rope molotovs? Get all up in her bush and drop a few of them.
Rope molotovs?
By Lego Go To Post You should have access to them in the shop if you got the badge from turret guy.
Oh, I havent killed that guy yet.

The insight fountain won't be open until you have 10 insight. That fountain is just outside of the middle door of the house. Think each one costs one insight.
By LabouredSubterfuge Go To Post Is the blunderbuss slower to fire than the pistol?
no, but the range kinda sucks. It's the better weapon for parrying, however.
Lego and JesaIR THANKS for helping the new guys!!
By Lego Go To Post Are you sure about that Yurt? It feels slower.
Really? It didn't feel like it because I get my parry on point every single time, more so than with the pistol (since the blunder is kinda like a shotgun and covers more ground so it's hard to miss)

I now have 11 insight but the firepaper isn't in the insight shop?
By Bungie Go To Post Smashed Amgdala first time. Haven't had a boss cause me problems in a while. Either they're getting much easier or I'm overleveled. 99% sure it's the latter.
I do not dare to doubt your abilities but yeah, it usually means overleveled
By rvy Go To PostKilling the Hunters is harder than some boss fights. Pls.
Whatever, done.
Oh bb rvy, u gon be so bad in pvp then
I don't do that shit m8. Only games worth playing competitively on the internet are Shootans.
Playing field isn't even, but you kill 25 times and die once or twice, so it's OK.

And you call yourself a Master Ninja? You're no master of mine
You haven't lived until you slit someone's throat in PVP. It's no surprise that all my fav moments in the game involved humanoid/hunter bosses! The PVP scene is like that Cathedral encounter+ Gazza on steroids Helenio Herrera's 'special' coffee
I call myself a master ninja because I finshed NG II on Mentor.
Which makes me a Master Ninja.
pls understand.
By Freewheelin Go To PostI now have 11 insight but the firepaper isn't in the insight shop?
There's a badge (radiant sword hunter badge) when you go up the elevator inside the church, across the bridge, and then up the healing church thingy. It's on the top floor in a chest I think.

Mentor was actually harder btw ahaha. The incendiary shuriken SPAM...fuck me

What a time to be Yurt. I never bothered with MN as soon as I saw even more ridiculous lack of balance.
Fucking Microsoft ruined the game by releasing it to counter MGS 4. Motherfuckers.
