By nate Go To PostI don't think I do, lol. My cane is +6, rifle spear +4. Might not want to use the blades anyway; love the cane.
Got the shadows of yharnam to beat still and then gonna give the castle another go
TRUST me you're gonna enjoy using them way too much :p
Leave the castle after Byrgenwerth and the Blades, it's the shortest area in the game, it's just one building.

I just don't want to be able to lose access to doing anything in the game; would annoy me if I miss a boss or an item or something.
Ordered the strategy guide to come next week so hopefully will have everything done by then and can see what I missed out on.

Don't worry, every optional area (including the Castle) and bosses are accessible at all times. They only thing you might miss out on is the NPC interactions and their stories, like Gazza's little girl's quest, the cannibal, the jealous priest etc
I hear the guide is gonna be amazing! Post scans of the story section yo :p

I did Gazza's daughter (oo er), and I sent the cannibal to Iosefka's even after slaughtering that bitch because I thought he might eat everyone at the chapel lol

Good loool
he's kinda a mini boss btw, after you attack him he transforms into some electrical beast

I'd do Paarl before doing Rom, just because the Hypogeon Gaol lantern doesn't work after Rom.
By reilo Go To Post So I got to the first boss, died immediately and was sent back to the Hunter's dream. I imagine I missed a shortcut somewhere?
Yeah on that bridge is some stairs down to the left into a house. Work your way through there and you'll come across a shortcut back to the central yarnham lamp.
The reason you get thrown back to the hunters dream is it wants to show you you now have 1 insight which wakes up the doll who lets you level up.

By LabouredSubterfuge Go To Post Still never beating CB in my lifetime ;_;
Honestly its far easier than you think it is. I remember thinking "how the fuck do I ever kill that with all five bosses so far" (well, four; one of them was easy as fuck), but you do it.
key with cleric beast is that it telegraphs its attacks so much; learn them, and dodge forward not backward. And be aggressive. Most things in BB will die when you fucking lay into it enough instead of hanging back.
Hypogeon Gaol is the name of the lantern above the Yahar'gul jails. When you leave the cathedral lantern, go out the front door turn right, around the corner is one of those enemies with a sack. If they kill you they take you to the jails. The path to Darkbeast Paarl is in that area.
He should be a little bitch if you're levelled up enough to be taking on the shadows.
Equip them in your quick items, that's the bottom row when you press Options, cycle through those with down, target someone, and use with Square.
Annoyingly, up doesn't cycle the opposite way, it takes your health to create blood bullets, watch out for that.

Horse.
DEAN !! beat it, so you should be able to do it as well.
Believe in yourself, just channel your inner Fellaini.
Just beat CB first go today. Think finding Hunters set helped. Probably used too many molotovs but fuck it theyre cheap.
On to Gazza.
By LabouredSubterfuge Go To Post Are throwing knives any good?
Depends on the enemy.
By LabouredSubterfuge Go To Post Fuck sakes rvy which enemiesRegular knives are effective to draw out single enemies from packs.
Poison knives are pretty effective against the hooded dudes which you haven't faced yet.
But there is, reilo. There's at least 4 shortcuts in that area, there's weapons to find, armour to find, different paths to take.
You can level up once you have insight, too, which the game gives you 3 chances to get, and you can find enough blood stones in that area to upgrade your weapon, there is definite progression.
The shortcuts are your checkpoints, remember that. And you keep all items you find upon death.
Helpful reminder, you can straight up run past most guys once you know the area.
By LabouredSubterfuge Go To Post Rvy I will save you from the snakes once I get there. Or I'll die. Whichever comes first.
YES LABOURED
MY KNIGHT IN SHINING ARMOR.
What a man.
With this game, I think you need Plus.
That's not always the case with others though, from my experience.
By Bungie Go To Post Smashed Darkbeast Paarl and the One Reborn. One of those chest cunts followed me into the latter. Where were those fireballs coming from?
In the One Reborn fight, there's a way of getting up to the balconies. There's 6 dudes up there. Apparently taking them out makes that fight crazy easy.
By Lego Go To Post That fight was crazy easy, anyway, a lot of bosses don't know how to deal with the blades.
I'm a strength build, so I can't have skill weapons :(

I finally got the shortcuts and all that but it was such a giant pain in the ass to get to that point. The entire area before that with the Townsfolk I thought was shit. Everything after that is much better.
By JesalR Go To Post Also, I cheesed the three hunters in Yahar'gul like a fucking pro. Went down the stairs, killed the wolf monster in the jails. Went back up, baited the fuckers, ran back down to the jail and shut the cell door. Locked myself in and then just did some distance strikes on them.
loooooooooool, what a legend

ahahahahaa fucking fuck me that's brilliant!
Yo, how do I beat the Hunter that fucks up Eileen and puts her all bloodied at the stairway to the Cathedral? He keeps killing me, is he weak to fire or anything?

I was having a lot of trouble with him, killed me five times in a row. Now I just killed him. Play it patient until he's got a little under half health left - just keep dodging and hit him once or twice when you can. Then focus on parrying and getting visceral attacks.
Wanted those fucking double blades but shit costs 40k. Is there anywhere I can farm blood echoes? I did buy that hot crow cloak, but think I might like the black Yahar'Gul stuff more.
