By Shanks D Zoro Go To Post Yes Lego, sounds like you have found your groove. It has a steep learning curve to start the game, but once you get the hand of it nothing seems too difficult.I discovered her when I was level 80. You are only underleveled if you find it difficult.
Off to bed now, got a couple more chalices, but I don't like the grind to find materials to perform the rituals. I got to do the same one for a third time now to get some more blood stones :(((
never had to grind a single chalice! The messengers sell the low level stuff, and you usually find the higher level material in chests (be sure to enter every single room before you pull the blue lever) and off the bigger enemies.
By The_Hitcher89 Go To Post How are the NPCs in general? Found them really forgettable in DS2, while they were one of the best things about Demon's and DS1
better than DS2 but not even CLOSE to as memorable as DS1.

The messengers don't sell ritual blood 2 for me.

you find those on level 2 dungeons or above! Seriously, don't grind, you WILL find them in a chest in one run.
are you online? LETS CHALICEEEEEEEee

By Lego Go To Post Welp, I hit an eight legged wall.
The slug or the God spider? PSN me his mugshot :p

Do I have you on PSN matey?
I beat the boss just now anyway, but I died simultaneously. Got the trophy, went back and got my echoes, not exactly convincing though.

YOU DONT?
"Yurtlicious" yo
11 bosses down. Gonna havta take a break. Celestial Emmisary was probably the easiest boss so far.
Havnt been able to keep up with the thread but how is the overall feeling now that were a few days in? Played a bit , not a big fan of PVP in this game (actually feel like it's the worst in these games) but the world itself is pretty great. Similar to Demons
Most fun I've had with any of the Souls, not sure if its cause they cut some of the fat or if I'm just used to the games now. There's definitely a layer of polish that wasn't present in older Souls games.
The level/map design is brilliant.
Started playing Saturday. Game is kicking my ass but it feels more satisfying than the Souls games. Just wish there was a guard mechanic, even if it left you in hitstun or had you take reduced damage.
Got lazy in the character creator so I just made an old bald woman with purple Lennon sunglasses
By DY_nasty Go To Post I feel like I'm playing through this so much slower than everyone else.
Told you to get a previous Souls game and get your reps up.
Stuck on Daughter of The Cosmos, those physical attacks are no joke. Got it down to like 1/8 on my 2nd try and got cocky.
By Moris Go To PostTold you to get a previous Souls game and get your reps up.
I ain't about to struggle through the prequel just to struggle all over again
and yo.... i was doing good on this third boss until he decided to put me in a dust loop.

I was owning her arse until the laser attack near the end. Now I have to wait for the elevator glitch to be patched before facing her again.
I backtracked in one of the CDs and found the shit I needed. Allowed me to start a level 3 CD, but oh my the spike in difficulty is nice. I was way overleveled for the first two levels, but I realised it had gonr up a notch when I was walking along and some dude one hit me to death with a ludwig blade lol
bloodborne was intended for new audiences in terms of of fast they made the combat, but getting use to how the game "works" is easy if you played a bit of the older soul games. DY just gotta get use to it
I'm a little indifferent tho on the fact that their is less to work with in terms of builds and shit.
To begin with, I liked the simplicity of this game compared to DeS, but now I wish there were more builds available from the weapons.
On the whole I feel this game is a lot more playable for a casual than DeS. It doesn't hold your hand, but it doesn't make you feel like an idiot who needs to read a guide to figure out what is going on. For example, I hated the crystal lizards. I didn't know they only appeared a certain amount of times and had upgrade materials. These new creatures only appear a few times, but you are not penalised if you don't kill them.
Agreed really. The lack of builds is disappointing, but some awesome weapons are only usable/effective once you spec specifically for them. Like, there's a Samurai sword (where the L1 is your character literally stabbing himself in the stomach to coat it with his own blood) that's heavily dependent (if not entirely) on Bloodtinge. And so on
Shanksuolo dig deeper into the chalice baby <3 I'm available for help any time you want (now I'm at work tho). And hopefully in no time you'll be close to my level ;_; it's so lonely here ;_;
I read I need the short root chalice to do co-op, is this true? I will try and get on that asap.
hopefully can have a game tonight. :))

I think you do, yes. :( I forgot where it drops, but I remember being quite annoyed that it took a bit longer than expected. :(
By dark_prinny Go To Post Fuck Rom. That is all.
Rom is a lot easier with hindsight/using pussy tactics
@yurt, I think I am two away from it from what I have read online.

CANT WAIT ;_; I'm sharpening my daggers already.
I just noticed that when I zoned in for a boss fight with auto adjusting camera off, the frame rate goes down A LOT. It felt like the game was going to crash or something. This happened during the encounter with the Shadows of Yharnam
Is this apparent in other instances in the game?
I'll drop in here too to cry about this game being 2 hard 4 me
I'm stuck at the 4th boss and already found the 5th which seems easier lol
Question: my brother asked me: do you need insight to coop the chalice dungeons too?
Sorry yurt, trying to get the chalice for coop is taking longer than expected. BTW how do you find messenger shop in CD??? I have searched all off them and not found any :(((
I have a headache now so I am going to bed, hopefully I have one more layer left in the morning and then can do coop
Dammit. This game has me now.
I'm sitting here at work thinking about getting home and playing it. Need it IN MY VEINS.

I found two in the Hintertomb Chalices! Hidden sorta of course. They only sell a Chalice per shop btw, got the Cursed off one of them I think
I dunno you might actually find them elsewhere too it might be random..
I was walking home the other day imagining my town as Yarnham. Should I seek help.
Found the next boss.

To all of you thinking about BB all day.
I DREAM of playing Bloodborne. At work I keep thinking about the routes. This game is addictive.

Bruv, when the laser come, just sprint sideways. They'll miss everytime. Don't run away from them or they'll tag you and stagger for the next barrage.
Legit DS2-level shitboss. Massive damage, bullshit attacks, can actually damage you even if it's model doesn't touch you. Absolutely horrid B-Team bullshit.
Anyone else notice that there seems to be missing content in the game? There's a bunch of tells, chiefly amongst them the covenants being a complete waste. feels like there should be more to them. Equipping a Rune to be part of the covenant seems like a bandage solution to something that should have had more meat. Multiplayer is a MASSIVE step back from DS2. Even if i killed a boss in DS2 i could still see people's names on the ground to see if there were people in my level range that needed help with bosses. In this, you ring a fucking bell and hope for 30 minutes. Even worse is if you need help. No indication that anyone is actually around to be summoned and as an added trickle of rancid precum, it costs you insight.
That's not even touching how ridiculous it is to lock the small resonant bell behind 10 insight and a seperate messenger bath.
By Gorillaz Go To Post MP is definitely a step back. I think they were more focused on the PvE stuff this time around. Little disappointed.
yup. i used to help people with bosses all the time in ds1/ds2. here it feels like a worthless endeavour.

YUP, that's exactly what I told Facism on PSN earlier today
lots of MP features and covenants that were mentioned by THEM five months ago didn't make it into the final game
but knowing From Software, they'll release this stuff in the next DLC, and it'll be awesome.

Time to focus on arcane and ditch strength for a bit I guess. Got 42 strength and 9 arcane
