You have to commit, there is no such thing as playing with your balls or lurking on WhatsApp while playing the game.

This pretty much summarises my experiences with these games.
I had to figure out for myself that you don't recharge stamina as quickly with your shield raised.
Criticisms very indicitative of modern game design. Its needlessly obtuse in many ways, particularly item and objective descriptions, but people who can't be bothered to pay attention to their environment and the basics of the combat systems can piss off if they think the games should change in that way.
btw, just to wade in on the pause issue which we all love arguing about, I think you should be able to pause it as long as you're playing offline mode and haven't aggro'd an enemy in the last 20 seconds.
Bloodborne will save this gen. Trust in the FROM A-team.
